Chapter 1374: Latest War Updates

The shock was reasonable, as William came back after vanishing for more than a week, riding a scary looking giant monster. His old friends felt like these two monsters looked familiar, recalling vivid scenes of the monstrous weapons he used to control before.

"You made more of these old deadly things..." Sara was the one to speak first, "and you even made them much bigger... Far stronger..." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"He wasn’t playing around; I told you so!" Anjie stepped up from behind, looking in awe and admiration towards the two monsters William brought with him.

"Says the one who was this close from snapping out!" Lara rolled her eyes, before pointing at the two monsters, "they look great, but.. I don’t think they can do much to change the current situation..."

When she said this, William noticed how gloomy his friends’ looks became. Yet what he did next changed such expression, changed the look over everyone’s faces standing around, to be replaced with pure and utter shock!

William didn’t respond with words, but actions! He simply waved his arm, touched many rings, and instantly lots of monsters he crafted appeared!

One hundred gigantic monsters appeared in front of Lara’s city, covering a large area in front of the sea of masters standing here.

Their sudden appearance took everyone by surprise! No one imagined William to pull such a move. And for long minutes, the loud cheering from before stopped, replaced with utter silence!

"Damn! You overdid yourself this time!" Fang appeared from far, looking in disbelief towards the monsters William took out, "we can... We can win this! We definitely can win this!" He was the first to say these words. And next, the cheering that once stopped returned, in a heaven defying manner this time.

"Long live Fox Guild master! Long live the legendary William!"

The cheer echoed far and wide, and William simply ignored all this, looked at his friends, before asking the most important question:

"What’s the current situation back there? And why is everyone gathering here?"

"Let’s talk while walking to the portal," Lara looked at the large number of masters around, and then at the one hundred behemoths behind William, feeling like this wasn’t the right place to talk.

"Cool," William followed his friends and girls back into the city, and yet he didn’t call back his monsters. He left them walking in a long line behind, giving more awe and shock to everyone in the streets.

He easily noticed how morale was quite low. So, he used his monsters to raise it.

"Hmm, the situation isn’t that good," Becky stood by William’s side, attracting many wandering and hostile gazes. She just inspected the updated maps of the current war, and couldn’t help but mutter, "yet it’s not that bad either!"

"I honestly expected way worse than this," William nodded, as the general situation of this war wasn’t as bad as he thought.

He expected to see at least one kingdom lost, the rest lost almost half of their territories. As for their losses, out of the thirty-five armies, he expected to find less than one third!

"It’s all thanks to the change in plans you made before vanishing," Lara gave Becky a weird glance, as she noticed, like other girls, how close she was from William, "also Anjie’s kingdom army masters helped a lot!"

William didn’t need Lara to tell him that. The main factor that made the entire situation better was the Novice kingdom. Being in the centre helped in supporting other kingdoms with reinforcements.

That was why William changed the general plan before. He didn’t know that taking control over the Novice kingdom didn’t take longer than one day, as his friends added a little extra touch to his plan.

It was Lina’s idea, grasping what William wanted. She knew he wanted to turn the Novice kingdom into a main base of operations, their cornerstone in this war. So the sooner they took control over it, the better the war progress would be.

Instead of just relying over the Novice kingdom army masters, she proposed to send part of the upper realm masters in every army to Anjie. And the latter would push with everything she got to take control over her kingdom.

Anjie was the best to rule over this operation in Lina’s viewpoint, as she was the princess, and she knew all the big shots in the kingdom.

Anjie did brilliantly, as she was already in preparation to muster up all the kingdom’s remaining forces and add them to her army.

The biggest obstacle the kingdom faced in this war was the evolved monsters, not the dark masters or enemies from outside. So, Anjie managed to take full control over it in a day, before starting to turn the kingdom into a real base for the entire guild and the allied forces.

The first thing she did was to send back the upper realm masters to their respective armies. Then she sent most of the upper realm masters over areas that suffered the severest attacks and losses.

She formed lots of smaller units, sending them like firefighters, to aid and support any hot spot. Doing all this changed the entire progress of this war. And staying behind to run this operation, she was capable of having an overall view over the entire battlefield, better assessing the situation, and interfering when it was needed the most.

Slowly the fast-retreating Fox Guild masters began to stand their ground, and a strong frontline stood erect for days.

William heard such reports and more regarding how everyone performed so far in this war. From their description, he could easily tell where the hot spots were!

"This, this, this, and this... Four main hot spots in the entire war," William listened attentively to everyone without saying a word, then he pointed towards four different zones, where fighting was like real hell!

"They are our nightmare," Anjie was the one to speak, as she had a better understanding of the situation. Lara stayed behind to organise logistics, asking for reinforcements, arrange and distribute the new masters, and even establishing a large medic center that acted solely to provide lots of potions and elixirs to the frontlines!
