"Then it means he has few, and thinking from this point, these masters are precious to him," she finally grasped the entire plan William thought of. And when Becky realised it, she grew more astonished by him.

"So we'll stay behind and wait?" As everyone started to form a group, she knew it was only logical for William to form a group. Yet she had few doubts, as last time William didn't form a group and just the two of them acted.

"We will wait, but we won't form a single group," William said, which she feared, yet he added, "We will form five groups."

"Five? What for?!" She was startled. At first, she felt relieved that he finally dropped the stubbornness and listened to the sound of logic. But then she felt puzzled, as William clearly stated he would form five groups, not just one.

"One for each force mainbase," William paused, motioning towards the map, before adding, "and the last one will work under me. So we need five groups."

"I think we won't need those four, but it's up to you in the end," she didn't see any use behind the weird arrangement William decided. Yet she had her doubts that William had an ulterior motive behind doing this.

She didn't know William that long, yet she was sure this youth would never do anything without ulterior motives!

When she thought he would go and announce the news, William simply didn't. In fact, he already sent the orders out to all of his thirty-five army leaders.

They were working hard to gather as many masters as they could. The competition was fierce between the established faction leaders and between the newly appointed leaders.

Then everyone received the order: [Gather one thousand masters and send them to me!]

William decided to form the five armies using this method, while each army would be around seven thousand masters.

"Won't they be too low to make an impact?" From the side, Becky watched as every army leader sent one thousand masters. In a few hours, the thirty-five strong masters were standing in front of William, who started to divide them into five groups.

"Their task isn't to wipe out the entire base, but to accompany and defend the main force doing that," William motioned with his head towards the big monsters he created.

"But…"

"We are at a tough spot in the war," William knew what Becky wanted to say, "to win this war, a delicate balance must be achieved. We can't take more or else other places will be compromised." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"I know, still seven thousand masters isn't enough… They can fit to accompany the monsters attacking the main base, but they need a bigger army to distract the enemy defences and open a gap…"

"We don't need that, the two of us will do just fine," William dropped this bomb, while Becky looked in doubt towards him.

"I don't think you want the two of us to attack the enemy bases head-on!"

"Oh, we won't do that," William kept his words here, and Becky finally realised he was toying with her, "and don't get me wrong, I'm not playing with you!" Yet when she thought of smacking his head or something, he suddenly said, adding to her puzzlement.

"Look," When he noticed how at a loss she was, he grabbed a map and pointed towards one hot spot, "let's say we'll target this first. My guild masters did their job brilliantly, lured the enemy reinforcements and killed them. This base is the most vulnerable, as it sent most of the reinforcements, and it has fewer masters than the others. So we'll pick it…"

William started to explain the plan he had in mind slowly, so Becky wouldn't miss a single detail, "Once we mark a base, we'll send the seven thousand master force to hit it, alongside three monsters. This will be enough to draw more of the base force outside to stop them…"

"You want to fool the enemy using a small number of the army attacking, making them evacuate the base for you… What an evil bastard you are!"

"At last, you got it, slow-headed upper realm master!" William even winked when he said that, making her face blush, before she raised a fist in a threatening way.

"You didn't ask if we'll have monsters with us," William tried to tease her the moment she controlled her rage, ending up garnering a fiery look from Becky.

"I know you aren't dumb not to get enough with you," Becky pointed at the map, before adding, "your entire plan is to lure the tiger outside the den, then take control of it, use the defences prepared and the terrain to your advantage, before waiting for reinforcements to arrive…"

She then paused, got lost in her thoughts, while William kept his silence as well.

"What doesn't add up is the reinforcements part… Where do you plan to get them?" She looked puzzled once again, looking at the surrounding army leaders who were gathering more masters to their side, "Will they make it up in time?"

"Well, I know you got it," William softly sighed, "you know if we depended on the seven thousand masters alone and the two of us, we won't stop the entrapped enemy force."

"Besides, waiting for the faraway reinforcements won't do," She slowly nodded, trying to see if William was speaking seriously or just fooling around.

"Stop teasing the poor girl." Out of the blue, Lara appeared while placing an arm around the stupefied Becky.

"Did you bring it?" And when Becky wanted to ask what brought her here, instead of competing with other leaders over the fast-shrinking pool of masters, William suddenly said.

"You knew she was coming?" Becky said in a realisation, before Lara tossed a ring towards William.

"He was the one who sent me to get it for him," she paused, before adding, "you know, once this is used, it'll be a double-edged sword!"

"Just do as I told you," William checked the content of the ring, before his face beamed with a bright smile, "be ready in time!"
