Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1378: The Tide is Shifted!
"Ok," Lara was about to move back, to join the ongoing fray of master hunting, before she paused and gave Becky a long glance, "make sure not to fall for him, he already has a long line of girls waiting!"
"..." Becky didn’t know how to respond to such sudden and out of context words.
"Don’t mind her," William sighed, "she doesn’t know you are returning to the upper realm soon."
"It seems I got many misunderstandings about what I’m doing," Becky softly chuckled, yet deep within her spirit, she didn’t feel like that at all!
She knew what William said was true; he kept her by his side for a reason, to teach her a few of the secrets that no one in the upper realm even knew about!
Becky wasn’t a fool; she could tell that was part of William’s plan all along. There was some sort of purpose for her to learn all these secrets, and it was related to the secret mission he once told her about.
Despite all that, she felt some sort of weird pain, one that stemmed from longing, longing for William even before leaving his side!
She couldn’t believe she had such emotions and feelings for someone, someone from the lower realm, on top of that! Yet when she looked up at William, all she saw was a tall figure, a mighty master whose destiny was to stir up the upper realm!
And she couldn’t help but love such a formidable master!
"We are ready," Anjie led everyone back to William after ten more hours. During which, William kept analysing the incoming updates from different battlefields, getting to know the enemy’s general plan.
"Good," William pointed towards the updated map before adding, "they are trying to separate the different battlefields by establishing smaller bases."
"This means they are stretching their forces thin," Lara noticed the same point William reached, "but why the rush?"
"Perhaps they thought we are lacking masters," Berry said what she thought, and yet her reason didn’t make any sense.
"They are in a hurry, that’s given," William couldn’t tell the reason behind this. "It feels like they are racing against time, so it will be better if you try to drag other fights other than these five hot points."
"Got it," everyone said in unison. Then William saw them off. Thirty-five different small armies moved through portals, heading towards their designated battlefields.
Only Lara and Anjie stayed behind. The two expressed that they didn’t need to take part in the war themselves. Lara wanted to stay behind to organise the ongoing war and handle updates, and Anjie wanted to help her.
William didn’t buy any of that, yet he didn’t object. He knew the two held the most stable grounds in the entire war, so they could get away from the frontlines.
As the masters left for the war, the city felt empty. Yet William noticed how the two girls kept sending messengers, trying to get more reinforcements to help in the fight. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
He didn’t say anything; instead, he kept following the updates coming from the different battlefields. According to his last orders, everyone switched to defence, making it harder for the enemy to advance.
Aside from the five hot zones, other battlefields remained stagnant. The five hot spots had the most update reports coming from the entire war. And that was all thanks to the monsters William gave to them.
The monsters were real killing machines! William gave the monsters clear orders to follow the army leaders’ orders and follow any arrangement they had for them.
That instantly reflected on the five hot zones battlefield. The enemy got pushed back constantly, no matter what they tried to do. In the face of a might that didn’t belong to this world, there was nothing that could stop the monsters!
Soon enough, lots of reports mentioned how the enemies started to pour lots of reinforcements over these five zones. Slowly, it felt like they were moving everything they had to fight in these five spots. And the most affected places were these zones’ main bases.
"Is it time?" From the side, Becky kept asking this nonstop. She was very curious to witness how scary these monsters were, and wanted to see how strong they were!
She didn’t need to ask to know these monsters were the real deal! William just gave ten monsters to every army leader, leaving behind fifty monsters waiting.
"Not yet," as before, William didn’t plan to move this early. He knew the enemy was taken by surprise by his monsters. Yet a few hours had passed since the monsters joined the fight.
He wanted the enemy to grow restless and wreck their plans themselves. He waited for the enemy to face a dilemma about how to stop his monsters. And that would happen when they would realise that no matter how many masters they sent, all would fall!
The hottest zone that had the best progress was the one that the enemy feigned as a dark master base. The army fighting there was led by Lina, and they pushed the enemy back for almost half of the territory they gained!
William knew if the enemy didn’t do something, that base would fall in less than a day! He knew there wasn’t a way for the enemy to move a large number of masters from the faraway battlefields, so they would be forced to relocate their nearby forces.
If not for his monsters, then the enemy would have pulled that move more easily. Yet now they had to rethink thrice before taking such a step. With every hour passing in hesitation, Lina was getting closer to the fifth hot zone base.
William knew this wouldn’t end fast as everyone imagined. The enemy must have some sort of hidden card up their sleeves, one that might include the upper realm masters.
William wanted to see how the enemy would respond. If they called back their strongest force from this base, then they would forfeit the hot zone, and that would delay his intervention for a couple of days or more.
