Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1495: Master!!!
Out of the blue, an alien voice arrived to startle everyone. Without exception, the leaders of the Fox Guild wielded their weapons in a blur of motion. They jumped into their deadliest offensive stances, spirits flaring with incandescent power, ready to unleash their strongest techniques at the slightest provocation.
In front of them, a group of a few hundred masters approached from the direction of the central portals. They were led by a graceful-looking young girl who didn’t appear much older than the guild’s faction leaders.
She walked with a serene, unshakable confidence, moving as if she ruled the entire world beneath her feet. Despite her regal air, not a single person standing in the Scorching Lands recognised her or the fierce, battle-hardened masters walking in a protective phalanx around her.
The group radiated an aura of such might and discipline that it was enough to strike fear into any force present. They were an unknown variable in a world already pushed to the brink, yet the mention of William’s name was unmistakable and shifted the tension from pure hostility to a wary, heart-pounding confusion.
"Faction leaders!" Ahead of the newcomers, a group of Fox Guild sentries ran forward with the fastest speed they could muster, their faces pale with exertion.
"They appeared all of a sudden from the gate—the one the Guild Master vanished inside! They claimed they were sent here by the Guild Master himself and asked to meet with the faction leaders, specifically Berry, Sara, Lina, Ro, Anjie, and Lara!"
"It is us whom you are seeking," Lara stepped up, her eyes narrowing as she sized up this new young lady and the formidable force flanking her. She kept her hand on her weapon, her voice cold and authoritative. "Who are you, and by how come do you carry news of our leader?"
"I’m Anna," the young lady replied, beaming with a warm, genuine smile that seemed to ignore the thousands of blades pointed at her heart. "I came from the upper realm and got stuck with everyone else inside that world William is currently at. He told me I would find his most trusted friends here. It is a pleasure to meet you all."
The shocking arrival of Anna and her entourage completely overshadowed the strange phenomenon occurring across the world. In an instant, the suspicion turned into a frantic gathering.
William’s girls and closest friends surrounded her, raining down a torrent of questions. They asked about the state of the Medium World, the details of the battle, and most importantly, how William was doing and how the two had met.
However, the shock currently spreading through the upper command of the Fox Guild was nothing compared to the tsunami of disbelief their Guild Master had experienced only an hour prior.
Back in the Medium World, William had led Bernard to the gate that served as the primary link to his home world. Bernard had been startled to see even more of the puppets waiting there, standing in a tight, impenetrable circle of cold metal and scary ferocity.
In the middle of such a vast, desolate world, it would have been impossible for any outsider to spot this gate or its guardians if not for William’s guidance.
"My leader is going to send his daughter with her personal team once they get the news!" Bernard had said earlier. Because of the lack of spirit sense or long-range telepathy in this realm, Bernard had been forced to send a dozen of his vanguard back to the Floating Castle on foot to guide others to the gate.
The travel distance was significant, but thanks to William’s tireless efforts in clearing the area around the castle, the journey was now safe. Under normal circumstances, Bernard would have never allowed a small team to traverse the world.
As they waited near the shimmering rift of the gate, the dozen messengers returned, trailing a team of several hundred strong and formidable-looking masters.
These were the elite of the Blue Purgators, their armour polished and their spirits grades high. Leading them was a young girl who walked with a wide-eyed wonder, looking at the horizon as if she had never seen the world before.
She kept glancing at the rock formation of the valley and the distant sky with an innocent look of curiosity written all over her face. She looked like a sheltered princess out for a stroll.
And yet, the moment William spotted her, his entire body stiffened. He froze in his tracks, his breath hitching in his throat as a tidal wave of shock swirled through his mind, threatening to drown his composure.
’Master!!!’
His body trembled as his mind jumped to a conclusion that felt both impossible and inevitable. The young, refined, and innocent-looking girl walking toward him was, in fact, his master from the far future—the legendary human figure who would one day lead the entire resistance front against the Fox in his past life.
However, the image of his legendary master from his previous existence was a stark, jarring opposite to the cute and curious girl in front of him. In his memories, his master was a woman of iron and sorrow, a master whose eyes held the weight of a struggling race.
This girl was vibrant, soft, and full of life. There was no immediate similarity between the two. It was as if he were looking at a version of her that had never known a day of war.
The cognitive dissonance was so sharp it was painful. He couldn’t reconcile the "God of War" who had taught him everything with this curious youth who was currently poking at a glowing moss on a nearby rock.
"Does your leader have another daughter?"
Out of the blue, William couldn’t resist the urge. He asked Bernard flatly, his voice devoid of its usual calm. He didn’t even bother to greet Anna or offer the customary politeness of a host. He turned fully toward Bernard, his features twisted into a look of such intense seriousness that the commander actually took a half-step back.
