Remarriage Failed Again Today-Chapter 177: What Does It Have to Do With Me?
Leona Grant’s face twisted in pain.
After all, he was swollen down there from an allergic reaction! He was so scared of anything touching it that he didn’t even dare to pull up the blanket, yet Annabelle Linton had actually given him a shot!
Just as Leona Grant was about to explode and shove Annabelle Linton away, he heard her say coolly, without even looking up, "I’d advise you not to be stupid enough to push me away right now. Otherwise, you’ll be saying goodbye to your little brother for the rest of your life."
Leona Grant believed her.
If he dared to push her away now, this ruthless woman wouldn’t hold back and would absolutely ruin him!
The pain made Leona Grant’s lips turn pale. By the time Annabelle Linton finished the injection, he felt like he’d lost half his life. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
It wasn’t as if he’d never been injured before during his time in the military.
But getting a shot in a man’s most vulnerable spot was no laughing matter.
Leona Grant sat there stiffly, taking a long while to recover.
Once he’d recovered, he violently swept everything off the bedside table.
Staring at Annabelle Linton with predatory eyes, Leona Grant’s face was terrifyingly dark. "Annabelle. Linton! Why didn’t you just stab me instead!"
"I wanted to."
Annabelle Linton fiddled with the medicines on her cart, not even looking up. She coolly sidestepped to avoid being hit by the things he’d knocked over. "But killing you would land me in jail. It’s not worth it."
Leona Grant clenched his fists, shut his eyes, and took a deep, steadying breath.
The injury to his manhood.
The shot she gave his manhood.
The endless insults.
He had no idea how much willpower it was taking to swallow this indignation!
If it had been any other woman, he would’ve put a bullet in her long ago!
Annabelle Linton... He had tolerated her again and again, only for her to become more and more outrageous each time.
Fine. Just fine!
Leona Grant wanted to pick a fight, but he discovered that Annabelle Linton had already neatly bandaged his wound.
Her movements were swift, a testament to her professionalism.
Annabelle Linton finished gathering her things and, without a word, started to push the cart out of the room.
Leona Grant’s expression soured. "Where are you going?"
For some reason, he didn’t want her to leave.
The time he spent with her was far from pleasant—he always ended up getting hurt or angry enough to die—but it always left him with a special kind of feeling.
And for the first time in his life, Leona Grant realized that he, too, could be reluctant to let someone go.
He realized that spending time with someone could feel so precious.
Indeed, if he really thought about it, ever since Annabelle Linton had changed, the moments they’d spent together were few and far between.
"You’re not crazy or stupid. You’re not going to collapse at any moment. Do you expect me to watch over you constantly?"
Leona Grant almost laughed in exasperation.
’This woman truly feels no remorse, and her tongue is so sharp!’
He said, his face devoid of expression, "I told you to take care of me until I’m fully recovered. Did you think that was as simple as giving me a few shots?"
Annabelle Linton’s hands, which were pushing the cart, suddenly went slack.
She stopped by the wall, leaning against it with her arms crossed. She raised a delicate eyebrow. "Then what did you expect?"
For a moment, Leona Grant was taken aback by her cool, nonchalant posture.
His voice unconsciously took on a helpless, almost pleading tone. "I have to stay here for a while. What about my meals, using the restroom, and my basic daily routine?"
"What does that have to do with me?"
Leona Grant: "..."
His expression darkened in a flash. ’This shameless woman! Give her an inch, and she’ll take a mile!’
"Doesn’t ’taking care of me until I’m fully recovered’ include all that?"
"My job is to help you recover from your injury. Do you think I’m your personal nanny? Am I supposed to wait on every single patient in this hospital hand and foot until they’re discharged? Or has the swelling gone from your second head to your first?"
Leona Grant: "..."
’Her tongue is just vicious. Unbelievably so.’
