Rise of the Harem King-Chapter 230: Or way into there.
Davi took a long breath after hearing all of that.
"And how long do we have?"
"I'm not sure, probably five days at most."
"And do you know where Luna is right now?" he asked, his heart racing.
"About that, I think you should return to the human world. Amelia is the best at forcing her way into places without being invited."
After she said this, the connection was broken.
Davi's chest rose and fell heavily as Inanna's voice faded, the divine glow of her realm shattering into shards of gold. His mind snapped back to his body, the scent of sweat, steel, and smoke rushing in all at once.
But something was wrong.
Only Alexia was standing guard at his side. Her arms were crossed, her expression taut with worry, though she straightened the instant she saw his eyes open.
"So, did you find out what happened to Luna?" She asked, her eyes full of worry.
"Kind of…" Davi commented. "For now, at least, she is fine. But where is Amelia?' He said looking around.
He was already thinking about his next steps, but first of all, he needed Amelia's help to be able to go up to where Luna was.
Alexia shook her head. "She disappeared about ten minutes ago. Said nothing. Just… gone. She is not the type to explain herself alot."
Before his chest could tighten with panic, the air in the room cracked like lightning. A sharp ripple tore reality open, and Amelia stumbled through, sweat dripping down her brow. In her arms, she carried the limp figure of her brother, Wein, as if he weighed nothing.
She laid him gently on the bed, panting. "I'm back, just went to get him." She said lifting her brother.
Davi looked at her confused, why was Amelia bringing her brother there out of nowhere. And he was even more confused, when in the next instant, she teleported most of the harem into the room.
"So, I believe I can travel to where Luna is," without giving a second fo everyone there to say anything, she began explaining.
Amelia didn't tell Davi that she could have done it from the start. But she explained, she was able to feel the kidnapper's magic, as it was also a form of space magic. Because of that, she was able to find the place to where he teleported at first.
But then her eyes darkened, and she glanced at Wein. "The problem is, it would take too much mana for me alone. I can't bring many people with me. Actually, I think I can just bring one person even if I give all I have."
The problem with that was obvious; just two persons would be too little. Besides, even the best mana potions couldn't fully regenerate the enormous mana pool she had. Actually, they couldn't even regenerate a quarter of her mana.
Wein shivered, his heart racing. He wasn't liking the direction of the conversation at all, and he trembled at his sister's next words.
That's why I brought him. My brother's <Magi space runes> can carve a passage that would require less mana."
Wein coughed weakly, and tried to say something in protest, but his sister's daily look convinced him to shit up.
Then, he reluctantly raised his hand. Glowing symbols flickered to life in the air, arranging themselves into a spiraling circle of space magic.
"Here's the plan: Wein will open the gate here in your room. I'll pour the rest of my power into moving myself and him directly to where that demon teleported with Luna at first."
"Wait, isn't it too dangerous?" Morrigan asked. She would basically be going straight to the heart of the enemy territory, and would be too exhausted to fight there.
"Earlier, I sent just a small stone with my mana to there. As you know, I can use my <Vision of All Things> like that. I checked. There are guards around the place, but no one is extremely strong. I will be fine, probably…" Amelia didn't sound all that confident.
"Besides, there is no other way," she said, and continued her explanation. "Once we are there, my brother will open a gate, making a path. This will reduce the mana cost of going there. Then…"
Her gaze went directly to Davi, looking him straight in the eye.
"You'll need to use your own space magic to pull as many people as you can through his gateway. Please, come quickly, as I don't know how long me and my brother will survive there all by ourselves."
This version corrects all the spelling and grammatical errors while keeping the original wording.
"You can count on me," Davi said with a confident tone.
But before anyone could move, Alexia raised a hand. Her sharp eyes cut through the heat of the moment. "Wait. We can't send too many people."
Everyone turned toward her, and she continued with a steady, almost cold voice. "Enki is barely standing. If we empty our defenses, the next wave of monsters will crush everything we fought for. We need to balance both fronts."
A silence fell, heavy and undeniable.
She was right.
Davi exhaled slowly, his jaw tight. "Then who goes?"
Ember stepped forward, her dark flames flickering faintly around her hands. "I'm going. If Nihila is truly there, I'm your sword after all."
Lara followed, she and Ember really fought well together, and her power was at best used against a single strong opponent, instead of multiple monsters.
Alexia wanted to go, but she was one of the best in terms of leadership, so she needed to stay to lead the forces. The same goes for Morrigan.
The hard decision was if Sophia should go or not. She would be extremely useful in both protecting Enki, and in this operation. But the blond wanted to go.
That left Davi, already at the center of everything. There was no question. He nodded. "Then it's us four."
They would save Luna, and, if possible, defeat Nihala right there and finish the problem once for all. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Amelia's hands began to glow as she pressed her palm against Wein's shoulder. Her brother stirred, sweat rolling down his temple as he forced his battered body to cooperate.
"Ready…" Amelia whispered, then a surge of mane exploded in the room.
In the next instant, she was not there anymore. "Now, Wein."
With a grunt, Wein slammed his hand onto the floor. A runic circle appeared, dreaming all of his mana just to create a path.
Sensing they had done their part, Davi acted. He used <Space Magic> to send their small team through the path Wein had created.
