Chapter 436: Chapter 437: Isn’t Big Brother Awesome?

Evening.

Sheng Ting came home from work later than usual. Shen Weiyi had already finished her bath and was sitting in front of the mirror, taking out the hairdryer to start drying her hair.

Hearing the noise, she turned around and said, "You’re back?"

Sheng Ting took off his coat, walked over, and voluntarily took the hairdryer from her hand, drying her hair with practiced movements. He was very careful and gentle, as if afraid of tugging her scalp and hurting her.

The warm air was comforting.

Shen Weiyi’s body relaxed and, through the mirror, she watched Sheng Ting behind her. Even though they already had two children, it seemed as if he hadn’t changed a bit.

He was still the man of graceful dignity from her memories, his every move was to her liking.

Shen Weiyi couldn’t help but curve her lips into a smile, then brought up the day’s events, "Your son got called in by the teacher today."

"Xiao Ye?" Sheng Ting looked up, slightly surprised, but did not stop his movements.

He was usually busy with work, but he still tried to make time every week to spend with Shen Weiyi and their two children. In his view, his son was stable and sensible, and his daughter was sweet and adorable; both kids were relatively easy to care for.

Shen Weiyi made an affirming sound and said, "The teacher said he fell asleep during class and bullied a classmate."

Sheng Ting’s brow furrowed slightly as he asked, "Did you talk to him about it?"

"I did, for a bit, but he didn’t really want to talk." It was normal for boys to grow up and have their own thoughts. Shen Weiyi didn’t think there was any major problem.

"You’ve worked hard," Sheng Ting said as he saw her hair was almost dry, then turned off the hairdryer and kissed her forehead, "You go to sleep first; I’ll go see him."

After speaking, he put the hairdryer away and went to Sheng Ye’s room.

The light was on in the room, and the door was half-open, but no one was inside.

Sheng Ting changed direction and went to his daughter’s room.

Before he even reached the door, he heard the voice of the little princess Sheng Baoning, "Brother, I want some milk."

"I know."

Sheng Ye, who was originally kneeling on the ground drawing, immediately stood up to get her some milk and saw Sheng Ting standing at the door as he opened it.

"Dad?" Sheng Ye looked at the man at the door with some surprise.

"Your sister is waiting for you, go ahead," Sheng Ting nodded towards him.

"Oh!" Sheng Ye then bypassed him and went downstairs. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Sheng Ting pushed open the door to his daughter’s room and entered.

As soon as she saw him, her eyes lit up, and she immediately dropped the storybook in her hands, climbing down from the bed and running toward him, exclaiming, "Daddy, you’re home?"

The little girl had already taken her bath and changed into her pajamas. Her hair was soft and spilled over her shoulders, making her look like a doll.

Sheng Ting reached out to catch her, lifting her from the ground and said, "Why aren’t you sleeping yet?"

"I was waiting for daddy to get off work. Daddy hasn’t said good night to Bao’er yet," Baoning said with her little milky voice, wrapping her hands around his neck.

"Sorry, daddy came home too late," Sheng Ting kissed his darling daughter’s face, then carried her to the bed.

On the way there, he saw a half-finished drawing on the ground and asked his daughter, "What’s this?"

"Brother is drawing a picture for Baoning!" the little girl replied sweetly and gooily after a glance. She didn’t forget to show off to Sheng Ting, "Isn’t brother really good at drawing?"

Sheng Ting looked at the drawing on the ground, barely a third completed, doubting it would be finished in less than a couple of hours.
