SILVER-HAIRED-Chapter 154: The Tale Of The First Magical Vampire {2}
"A young Vampire who strives for a home" Clelia mused, it was an interesting theory for the vampire and strike her as odd that he thought differently like this, she had always seen Vampire’s as simple minded as she thought them to be, it was odd to see a different case and a unique blood at this.
Her crystal blue eyes could see it, this one was oddly special, she couldn’t see his looks completely for the hood he covered with covered most of his features and his eyes were a green color and just by the look of it they held unseen power she couldn’t quiet unravel
"Is that how you would describe me?" he asked, curious of the opinion she had on him. He was sure everyone had a particular opinion about Vampires, because of how self keeping they were, and how superior they kept themselves to be. The goddesses were also considered superior too, Vampires, god, goddess.
"Well, Young one, how else would I? You said living in a world that does not belong to you doesn’t fit you", it was an interesting thought.
"If we can’t leave amongst the Mortals then it’s not our place" Nicklaus said with stern looks. Remembering the lessons the elders gave them, about how Mortals were beneath them and not meant to be associated with, how high they should carry themselves and the distance they should give.
Clelia smirk broadened. "A strange Vampire you are... others of your kind would accept this style without a second question, Vampire always thought themselves to be superior beings, I guess leaving amongst the Mortal will never be, your elders are quite strict", ticking her tongue. Vampires how high they carry themselves and view others inferior.
Nicklaus made a hmm sound, there was no doubt about that, the elders as their name implied were very ancient, they strive to protect their legacy no matter what... THEY were their legacy, they were like an egg to the society not to be touched, the whole vampires will surely throw a fit when they find out he was missing, but it would be worth it. He turned to Clelia... this sprite had something interesting, she claims that she can read his fate and he was eager to know what it was... although he won’t show it, he was itching with anticipation of what she will find.
Clelia came to a halt at a fountain.
"Why are we here?" he asked, his eyes on the fountain and, the cool water spilling, they were a bit further away from the loud crowd and their cheering.
"I’m a fairy, water is our energy" she shrugs facing him. "If I want to be able to read the fate of the very first Vampire I will need this", she took a seat at the edge, tapping the space. "Don’t worry I won’t bite, you have come this far with me, because you’re curious, and you must trust me"
"I don’t trust you," he snapped. His outburst caught her by surprise.
"I see" she said forcing a smile, she didn’t expect him to but his outburst was alarming.
"But I’m curious... but if you try anything funny, something bad might happen" at his words the air suddenly grew chilly, as the wind whistled harshly around.
Clelia was stunned by this, she shivers deeply, her outfit wasn’t exactly suitable for this sudden change of weather. Most importantly she hadn’t heard of vampires having such ability to control the weather before, they were none magical beings to begin with, this wasn’t right.
"How are you.." she paused, as her eyes narrowed, trying to think of a possible way, his eyes right now were glowing, a cold dangerous emerald color. "You’re not just a vampire are you?", she asked, her eyes in question, that could be what could explain this sudden power outburst.
Nicklaus looked away, his eyes stopped glowing. He mentally cursed himself for going too far, curse his mood, for whenever it shifted it did along with the weather, which is why he always kept his looks blank, sudden changes to the weather here in Rome could arrive suspicion, which is why he was trained by the elders in controlling his emotions and over time he didn’t know how to feel anymore due to it, he became like a blank page. Like a still storm just to keep that part of him in check.
"I do not know what you speak of" he answered in a firm tone, leaving it without question, his looks still and unwavering.
Clelia made a hmm sound, his looks were still and it was hard to read, this kid was good at hiding his emotions or was it part of him?. "There are Rumors spreading across the Realm about three siblings born from the Birth Tree, having no blood connections but alike in many ways. Said to be a new legacy for the elders first they have seen in millennium", everyone heard the story and everyone was curious of what they were like or how they were but their elders as their name implied were very careful to protect them, they were like the Vampires treasure.
"I know them... spoil things they are... I’m just an attendant to them"
"I see" she took it in with a forceful smile, he seemed straight with his words, she didn’t know whether to believe him or not but she would just let it slide. "Well?" she urged.
It took some seconds before he sat before her on the platform, Nicklaus turned to the fountain before them, watching as the water spilled from the rocks, a wonderful site it was especially at night.
Clelia with a smile on her lips. "Dip your hand into the water" He did as she requested and then Nicklaus heard a water drip sound that echoed in his ears, it was loud and prolonged and then suddenly a black lotus flower swim towards them, coming to them like it was being pushed by an unknown force, the body white but the flower petals a snow white.
"Cold and dark.. not exactly the first impression I was hoping for" she mused.
Nicklaus’ eyes remained on the flower as it swam slowly and finally got to Clelia’s hand, she took it. "A lotus that represents you" she states. "As I said you’re special... I might just be able to read your fortune" she added with certainty.
"And I’m curious as to what you might see... and I must tell you I can tell if you’re lying to me, sprites are always an easy creature to read" he said, remembering what the elders told him about sprites, she was a seer but she wasn’t so different, she was easy to read too.
She chuckled, but it didn’t read her heart, the looks he gave her was dead and she could tell he was damn serious. she gulped. "Okay" she chipped, seeing he meant every word, was this boy really an attendant? "Now no need to get alarmed, I’m just as curious as you’re, as I said I had a feeling I might see something, let us put it to the test shall we?", she brought the lotus flower forward.
"Your palm"
He brought it and then she placed the flower on his hand and her palm on it, suddenly her eyes turned blank white.
"Tell me, what do you see?"
She made a hmm sound, a smile on her lips. "I see nothing", her smile slowly fades. "It’s blank", she really hoped she would have seen something, she was counting on it, her inside voices told her there was something about him the moment she laid eyes on him, could they be wrong? But her voice never lies.
"Then this is a waste then, I shouldn’t have followed you here" Nicklaus said irritated about taking his hand off.
"Wait!" she snapped, holding his palm still. "I see something," she began. Nicklaus froze at her words, because he could tell she wasn’t lying.
"Even though a future is not so certain, I see a light... a strange light that shall one day be your soul and..." she groaned like she was in pain.
Nicklaus didn’t quite understand what she said, they were like riddles and then the realization struck him, her visions weren’t subjective, why didn’t she mention that earlier.
"You shall be the first and the last"
"The first and the last for what?"
"To..." she groaned. "To acquire something and the first to..." she gasped as she pulled her hand away, the lotus flower falling into the water and sinking. "The Holy library"
Nicklaus’ eyes slowly widened at her words, at his change of expression, it suddenly started snowing. The crowd further away from them gasped at the sudden change of weather.
Clelia looked around in awe, was it actually snowing right now? This was something that never happened.
"Young one" she paused, looking around, the young vampire was nowhere to the seen, like he just disappeared.
