Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 672 - 671: Divine’s Secret
"Have you ever wondered why I was the first person to come and meet you from the moment you entered the Underworld?"
Corey's eyes flickered with countless thoughts and speculations running through his mind the moment he heard Divine's question.
He remained silent for about three seconds, and then he dropped his cup of coffee on the table he created out of hexagon barriers.
"I've had such thoughts in the past, when I was suspicious of you. But ever since then, I didn't bother thinking about it."
Divine inhaled and covered his face with an uncomfortable and complex expression for a few seconds before he then clicked his tongue and cursed out loud.
"Damn it."
Corey narrowed his eyes, and he started becoming wary of Divine. His body shifted into a position that would allow him to react to any sudden attack that might possibly happen.
His mind, mana, and body were primed to react to any sudden moves or attack on him.
Although he trusted Divine, a part of him was always wary of everybody around him, even those he was close to.
Also, Divine's actions were baffling and strange to him. So many thoughts and speculations appeared in his mind regarding Divine's strange behavior, but he came up with nothing.
"It's related to my secret, that's why I'm so anxious to tell you."
Divine noticed Corey's tensed and battle ready aura, and he quickly spoke so as to not cause a misunderstanding.
Corey said nothing but rested his back on his chair.
Divine sighed, and then he spoke.
"The reason why I immediately met you the moment you appeared in the Underworld is because you're not meant to be in the Underworld... My brother is meant to have arrived in the Underworld instead of you."
"Your brother? I don't understand."
Corey frowned, and Divine grabbed his head with a frustrated expression.
"Okay, let me start from the beginning."
"I'm a Regressor."
Divine took a long pause and stared at Corey, expecting him to react to his secret. However, Corey's expression remained the same, although, countless thoughts were running through his mind.
"Why are you not reacting to my secret?"
"Am I to be extremely shocked or am I to bow and kiss your feet because you're a Regressor?"
Divine's lips twitched, "You're a bitch. You know that right?"
Corey shrugged nonchalantly, "I've been called worse. Now, continue from where you stopped."
Divine sighed, and then he continued speaking.
"In my last life, I was actually not this talented. The class I have now, is not the class I had in my past life."
"I had an elder brother who was much more talented than me, and his talent was so high to the point that he raised the House of Divine to great heights."
"However, at the end of the day, his desire for power led him unto the wrong path and he inevitably brought his destruction and the destruction of my family."
"In my past life, my biggest mistake was that I didn't make a wish before the deadline."
"Despite my parents and elders telling me to stay awake and make sure I made a wish that would be beneficial to both me and my family, I didn't care and slept off."
"I missed the opportunity to make a wish, but my elder brother didn't. He made a wish, and his wish increased his talent to an extremely high degree."

"I was lucky to come across an opportunity, an opportunity that allowed me to make another wish."
"I wished to go back in time, and as you can see, it worked."
Divine paused, and Corey had a pondering expression as his mind thought of everything Divine said.
"So, how much do you know about the future?"
Corey asked, and a wry smile appeared on Divine's face.
"I knew you were going to ask that question."
Divine sighed.
"To be honest, I know up to five thousand years into the future."
Corey's eyes widened in disbelief, "Five thousand years?"
Divine nodded, "Yes, five thousand years."
"How did you live up to five thousand years?
"I barely managed to advanced to Tier 7 before I died." Divine smiled wryly, and Corey furrowed his brows in confusion.
"I thought you were not talented. How did you reach Tier 7 then?"
"I never said I was not talented, I just said I was not just this talented."
Divine grinned with a prideful expression, and Corey rolled his eyes.
"The blood of the House of Divine flowed in me in my past life, and when I decided to wake up and work hard, I was able to advance to higher Tiers. Although, my foundation ruined a lot of my potential back then."
"Alright, so you're a Regressor who was a Tier 7 in his past life. That's all surprising and good to know, but why exactly are you telling me?"
"Why don't you use your knowledge of the future to become stronger and help your family to also become stronger?"
Divine stared straight into Corey's eyes for some seconds, and Corey began to feel uncomfortable with Divine's stare.
"What is it?" Corey asked when he could no longer take Divine's stare.
"Yes, I know the future up to five thousand years, but a lot of things have changed and I've obviously done some things that's different from the future."
"One of my actions and decisions that has changed the future is me coming to the Underworld. In my past life, I never came to the Underworld, it was my brother that came to the Underworld."
"According to my brother, he was kidnapped by the Underworld when he was still a Tier 0. Although it was extremely dangerous for him, he grew in power and knowledge in the Underworld, and when he was released from the Underworld, he came to the family and showcased his talent."
"He was a peak Tier 8 that was on the brink of advancing to Tier 9 before he died. Unfortunately, he made a lot of enemies and he died to them."
"It was through him that I knew about the Underworld and knew how to navigate and survive in it."
Divine paused for a few seconds, and Corey also remained silent and said nothing.
"The day you entered the Underworld was when my brother was meant to appear the Underworld, but till now, he has not even appeared in the Underworld."
