Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon-Chapter 801 - 798: Wry Smile
Chapter 801: 798: Wry Smile
Approximately one hour went by after Corey left Jin and his allies, and in this hour, Corey learned more about Serithal.
Unlike other newcomers who would most likely need to interact with other people or buy information from certain sources, Corey did not need to do any of this.
He merely entered a coffee shop, bought a cup of coffee, and slowly drank it while observing Serithal through his Eyes and Ears of Omniscience. freewebnøvel_com
His plan was to look for where he could purchase skills, and he found one.
The Miracle Hunter Association- MHA for short.
There were other places where skill crystals and skill scrolls were stored, for example, the Military and the Miracle Archives. However, he needed to join these organizations and attain merit to be able to purchase skills.
Aside from it being a waste of time, he was not even sure if these organizations had the face altering skill he needed.
There were places like the Black Market and even regular markets that sold skills and several other products, but Corey did not want to involve himself with the Black Market for now.
As for the regular markets, when he checked their products, he was disappointed by the quality of skills they sold, and he quickly lost interest.
The Miracle Hunter Association was another organization that sold skills, and from what he saw, the quality of their skills were higher than what was being sold in the regular market.
However, just like the Military and the Miracle Archives, he needed to register to join the Miracle Hunter Association.
At first, Corey thought that he just had to go to the Miracle Hunter Association, register, and get his Hunter License, but after gathering more information, he knew that he had to get his personal ID card like Jin.
To get his ID card, he had to go to a building called the Miracle Registry Hall.
The Miracle Registry Hall was also called The Hall of Names by the citizens of Serithal.
In the Kingdom of Miracles, every person, whether citizen, traveler, merchant, hunter, or mercenary must register their existence at the Miracle Registry Hall.
If Corey chose not to register himself at the Miracle Registry Hall, he would have to keep on using Infinite Mirage to show that he had an ID card.
He had no problem doing this, but he had a feeling that it might lead to something annoying down in the future.
Besides, it was sort of tiring using illusion for mundane things like this.
When Corey entered the Miracle Registry Hall, he met with the registrar who then led him into a room in the hall.
Inside that room, he saw a large pillar made out of a sky blue crystal, and the moment Corey saw this pillar, he felt a huge amount of mana coming from the pillar.
He knew what this pillar was from the discussions he heard through his Ears of Omniscience- The Identity Crystal Pillar.
The Identity Crystal Pillar was not somebody’s creation. Instead, it was the Universal System’s creation.
To register himself, he just needed to place his hand on the crystal pillar and his name, race, brand level, affiliation, class, talent, titles, tier, levels, and mana signature would be scanned by the Universal System and etched into his personal ID Card which had an official name- The Miracle Sigil Card.
Unlike what happened at the gates of Serithal, he could not tamper with the Identity Crystal Pillar because it was the Universal System that was scanning him this time around, and the pillar was a product of the system.
So...he asked Nina for help, and she did.
His status was tampered with, and only his Tier, levels, and mana signature were true.
As for the rest- his race, brand level, affiliation, class, talent, and even his name and image on the card... Everything was fake.
Since he had not been able to get a face altering skill, he kept on using Infinite Mirage to hide his face.
Fortunately, Nina told him that even the image on the card would change to the illusion he had put over his face.
After obtaining his card, Corey was informed by the registrar of the benefits of the card.
Surprisingly, he realized that without the card, he could not enter certain regions in the Kingdom, not only in the capital, but in the entire Kingdom itself.
Also, he would not be able to buy or sell goods, join guilds, or join any official association like the Miracle Hunter Association.
There were more, and although Corey knew some of what he was being told by the registrar, he still gained new knowledge.
After all of that, Corey left the Miracle Register Hall and went to the Miracle Hunter Association.
On his way to the Miracle Hunter Association, he decided to continue his observation of the capital of the Kingdom of Miracles because he noticed something strange about Serithal.
Serithal was a somewhat strange city because it was a blend of medieval times architecture and something else... Not technological.
No.
It was more like... Mystical... Or maybe...
’Divine?’
This was Corey’s thought as his gaze subtly moved from his surroundings to the Miracle Palace in the distance, the six crystalline spires surrounding the palace, and then the Miracle Temple.
Very few would be able to feel it, but Corey could feel it vividly.
A presence that had encompassed the entire capital and was unfathomable even to Corey.
It was not comparable to what he usually felt from the Paragon Ancestor or the aura of a Supreme.
Not even close.
But Corey knew that this presence was greater than any Tier 6 he had ever battled. Even the Throne he encountered in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones was not comparable to this presence, and Corey could feel it coming from the Miracle Temple.
’The god of miracles and cycles... Hmm... Don’t tell me that there’s actually a god or something with a god’s power in that temple?’
’I don’t even know how powerful a Tier 7 is, talk less of a god.’
’Don’t tell me that I’ll have to battle a god in the near future?’ Corey thought sarcastically with a wry smile.
