Sir, Please Sign Here to Get a Divorce-Chapter 108: Serena Discovered the Grant Family’s Secret
It wasn’t that Ethan Yardley didn’t know the reason.
He just couldn’t believe Quinn Gardner would do such a thing.
Looking at the young woman beside him, he advised,
"Serena, stay out of their business. It’s not appropriate for outsiders to get involved in some things."
Serena Yardley was indignant.
"I just don’t get it. Nina gave birth to that child. What right do they have to hide the baby and not let Nina see him? What gives them the right?"
"The grandparents probably took the child on a trip. They wouldn’t keep him from her."
"Why don’t you understand? If Nina could see her child, would she be crying? Would she be fighting with her husband?"
Serena Yardley was furious. She pulled away from his embrace and couldn’t help but shout at him,
"Are all of you men so heartless? Maybe you have no idea what a child means to a mother."
Thinking about Nina’s situation made Serena’s heart ache.
The nonchalant attitude of the man beside her made her even more upset.
Ethan Yardley was silent for a moment, then reached out to pull her closer.
"Alright, don’t be angry. I’ll go ask what’s going on later."
Serena Yardley pushed his hand away and pouted. "It’s not that I insist on meddling in other people’s business, but Nina has been so good to me. I don’t want to see her so sad.
Besides, you know that if it weren’t for Julian Thorne, I would have died long ago. I owe the Thorne Family a debt I can never repay."
Ethan Yardley sighed and pulled her into his arms.
"I know how you feel. I’ll go find Quinn Gardner later and ask him exactly what’s going on."
"Okay."
Only then did Serena Yardley settle down.
But Ethan Yardley’s expression grew a little more solemn.
’If Quinn Gardner really did that, then he can forget about Nina Thorne ever forgiving him in this lifetime.’
「The next day, at school.」
Serena Yardley slipped back to the dorm, wanting to learn more about this Cynthia Meyer person.
When she arrived, only Kylie Cross and Azure were in the dorm room. Cynthia Meyer and Rhonda were both out.
Her two roommates saw Serena Yardley and said with a laugh,
"Serena, you must really love us. You’re a rich young lady, chauffeured around in luxury cars every day, yet you still come to squeeze into the dorm with us. You’re the most down-to-earth heiress I’ve ever seen."
Serena Yardley shot them a look. "If you don’t want me here, then I just won’t come next time."
She pretended to leave.
Kylie Cross and Azure rushed forward to hug her.
"Who said we don’t want you here? We’d be thrilled to have you! Sit down, sit down. Does Princess Serena want anything to eat? We have snacks!"
Serena Yardley took the potato chips they offered and asked while eating,
"Where’s Cynthia Meyer? Why isn’t she here?"
"Her? She took another day off."
Serena Yardley was curious. "What did she take a day off for?"
"No idea. Anyway, she’s just like you used to be. Even though she lives on campus, she’s always out all night."
Serena Yardley fell silent. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
’Did she go out to find Mr. Grant again?’
’No, that’s impossible.’
Looking at her two roommates, Serena Yardley took out her phone. "Give me her phone number. And her WeChat ID, too."
The two roommates didn’t think much of it and gave her the contact information.
After getting the contact info, Serena Yardley left the dorm room.
As she walked out of the dormitory building, she called Julian Thorne.
He picked up almost instantly, his pleasant voice asking, "What’s wrong, Serena?"
Serena asked as she walked, "Julian, do you know how to track someone’s location using just their phone number?"
Julian Thorne was a bit curious. "Who are you trying to track, Serena? Ethan?"
Serena Yardley lied, "Yeah, I’m worried he has another woman on the side, so I want to keep an eye on him."
Julian Thorne didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but he still told her seriously,
"There’s an app for that. You download it, enter the number, and as long as their phone is on, you’ll be able to see where they are."
"Oh, okay! Thanks, Julian."
"You’re welcome. If you need anything else later, don’t hesitate to ask."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Serena Yardley quickly downloaded the tracking app.
Then, she entered Cynthia Meyer’s phone number.
It actually worked. She found her location: a private hospital.
’Why would Cynthia Meyer be at a hospital?’
Filled with curiosity, and since she didn’t have any classes that afternoon, Serena Yardley quickly left the school and took a taxi over.
When she arrived at the hospital, she followed the tracking system through the inpatient building, searching dozens of floors before finally spotting Cynthia Meyer on the 27th floor.
She had just gotten out of the elevator and was about to check the rooms one by one.
But then she saw Cynthia Meyer in the hallway, playing with a little girl.
Serena Yardley quickly ducked to the side and used her phone to record what she was seeing.
A moment later, an elegant and wealthy-looking woman walked out of a nearby hospital room and called out to Cynthia Meyer,
"Stop playing with her. Go give her a bath. The surgery is tomorrow."
Cynthia Meyer looked at the woman and nodded. "Okay."
She then led the little girl back into the room.
Seeing that the hallway was empty, Serena quickly followed and peered inside through the glass window on the hospital room door.
But the entryway blocked her view, and she couldn’t see a thing.
Sensing someone was coming from the direction of the elevators, she hastily found a hiding spot.
Then, she clearly overheard the conversation between the two people who were approaching.
"Mr. Grant, having the surgery tomorrow is a bit rushed. Besides, your son seems very reluctant. Forcing him to do something against his will could cause the child great harm."
"The child is emotionally unstable because his mother isn’t here. The surgery must be done tomorrow."
Quinn Gardner’s tone was resolute as he strode into the hospital room.
The doctor was helpless and could only follow him with a sigh.
Hiding in the corner, Serena Yardley recorded Quinn Gardner as he walked and spoke.
She slumped to the floor, despondent, unable to believe what she had just heard and seen.
’What in the world is Mr. Grant doing?’
’Are they going to operate on Nina’s child?’
She remembered Nina telling her that her child was a boy, but the one Cynthia Meyer was with was clearly a little girl.
’So that little girl is also his daughter?’
’Because that little girl is sick, are they going to use Nina’s son to donate organs or something to her?’
Serena Yardley couldn’t believe her own suspicions.
’This is horrifying.’
’How could they bully Nina like this?’
Her eyes suddenly reddened. Serena quickly put her phone away, got up, and fled the scene.
Running out of the hospital, she pulled out her phone to call Nina Thorne.
But she didn’t pick up.
She used the tracking app and found that Nina was at home.
She hurriedly took a taxi back to the Grant Family’s house.
But when she got to the Grant house, Nina Thorne still wasn’t there. Only her phone had been left behind, and even the housekeeper didn’t know where she had gone.
With no other choice, Serena Yardley had to contact Ethan Yardley.
As soon as the call connected, she asked urgently, "Ethan, where are you right now? Are you busy?"
Hearing the urgency in her voice, Ethan asked quickly, "What’s wrong, Serena?"
"Can you help me find Nina? I can’t find her."
Ethan breathed a sigh of relief when he heard it was about someone else. "Why are you looking for Nina Thorne? Shouldn’t you be at school at this time?"
"Just help me find her, please. I have something really important to tell her."
