The forest was quiet.

Too quiet.

Averon stood in the silence.

'Should I take them in…' He wondered. 'Or kill them.'

The Goat Lord stared at him with pleading eyes. His words stopped when he noticed the young slime contemplating.

Behind him, the goblins and the gang stood silently.

No one spoke.

They were waiting.

Lily folded her hands over her chest and glanced at him.

Her gaze slowly moved toward the cave carved into the hill.

The young slime took a deep breath.

His eyes moved toward a trembling figure hiding behind Plitur.

The young plant demon was shaking.

Averon's gaze then swept across the forest again.

He said, "Kill them."

His voice reached everyone.

Plitur grinned and yelled, "Yes, kill them all!"

But the Goat General suddenly roared, "No… No, you cannot—"

He cast "Demonic Reforge!" "Great Demonic Surge!" "Transform!"

He changed into a tall goat.

His horns glowed with demonic force as he charged.

Boom! Bang!

The ground shattered beneath his hooves.

He swung his enormous horns toward Averon's chest.

The young slime narrowed his eyes.

'Too slow.'

Demonic force rose from his body.

Whoosh!

Averon disappeared.

The Goat General's horns struck empty air.

"What—?!"

Before the demon could react—

Averon appeared behind him.

His palm ignited with dark flames.

"Demonic Fire Fist."

Boom!

The punch exploded into the Goat General's back.

Flames erupted through the demon's chest.

The massive body froze.

Then collapsed.

Thud!

The Goat General was dead.

The entire fight had lasted less than two seconds.

Silence spread across the battlefield.

All the goats didn't dare move or blink an eye.

They broke into a sweat.

A few tried to move but couldn't under Averon's pressure.

"Goblins, kill them," Averon ordered, waving his palm.

That single sentence sent the goats' heartbeats racing.

The goblins rushed forward with weapons.

"Demonic Surge!"

"Fireball!"

"Lightning Ball!"

"Fire Eruption!"

They unleashed spells. Screams filled the forest.

The goats couldn't stand up, much less run. It was a one-sided slaughter.

Lily flashed in front of Plitur and asked softly, "Do you want to kill the goats who killed your friends yourself?"

The young plant demon's eyes widened as he replied, "I can?"

Lily nodded. "Point at them."

Plitur pointed his index finger at the two goats—the brown one and the yellow one—who had closed their eyes and covered their heads with their front legs in the middle of the chaos, as goats were getting hit by magic spells or slashed apart by Hobgoblins.

Lily grinned. "Okay."

Whoosh!

In the next moment, she was in front of the goats and lifted them by their horns—one in each hand. Bang! She threw them at Plitur's feet.

The goats coughed up blood.

Then, in the next moment, the goats felt monstrous pressure as their heads were forced into the ground, so much so that cracks spread across it.

"Now kill them," Lily said as she empowered the little plant demon with demonic force.

Plitur glanced at himself as he felt a flood of energy.

He was wrapped with a layer of black energy.

"You deserve to die," he yelled and slammed his fists into the goats' heads.

Averon nodded, watching over everyone. 'Good.'

"Nice decision," Elder Nobara smiled.

Mama Slime sighed. "You have to pay for your actions."

Bull#1 and the gang glanced at the massacre with wide eyes.

Within minutes—

It was over.

The last goat was sliced in half.

Averon glanced around.

The grassy ground was flooded with blood and corpses.

A chilling silence followed.

The young slime's gaze turned toward the hill.

"The cave." He checked.

Within a few moments, he spotted it. 'That's it.'

Without waiting, he walked forward.

Plitur was carried by Lily as she followed him.

They climbed the slope and entered the cave.

Inside, the smell of earth filled the air.

The cave was dark.

Broken roots covered the floor.

Averon walked deeper.

Then he stopped.

He exhaled. 'I expected as much.'

There were survivors.

Several plant demons huddled near the back of the cave. They were bleeding green liquid and resembled Plitur's body shape, except bigger in height and size. They had large leaves wrapped around their bodies.

They were tied up with Demonic Bind. Their leaf bodies were badly damaged. But they were alive.

The young slime snapped the binds with demonic force pressure. He didn't even need to move.

Plitur froze. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"Father… Mother…"

The two tree demons in front looked up. Their eyes widened.

"Plitur?"

The young plant demon rushed forward.

Tears ran down his face as he hugged them.

Averon quietly watched.

"So some survived." Lily leaned against the cave wall.

The tree demons slowly turned toward Averon.

One of them stepped forward.

The large tree demon bowed.

"You saved us." His voice was rough. "We will follow you."

The other plant demons bowed as well.

Plitur looked at Averon with hopeful eyes.

Averon nodded slowly. "Then stand."

The plant demons rose.

A new faction had just joined him.

But before anyone could speak again—

A powerful pressure suddenly filled the forest.

Boom!

The ground trembled.

Lily's eyes narrowed instantly.

"Something is coming." Averon stepped out of the cave.

The sky above the forest darkened.

Three figures stood on a massive tree branch overlooking the battlefield.

Each one radiated terrifying demonic force.

The goblins immediately raised their weapons.

The demons froze.

Averon stared at them calmly. "Who are you?"

'They are peak Tier 4,' he mused.

The three figures jumped down.

Boom!

The earth cracked beneath their landing.

One was a tall bat-winged demon in a black cloak.

Another was a panther-like demon with crimson eyes.

The last was a massive crocodile demon clad in armor.

Lily narrowed her eyes.

The bat demon smiled faintly. "So this is the new Demon King heir."

Averon's eyes narrowed.

The panther demon continued, "We have been watching."

The crocodile demon crossed his arms. "And we came to confirm something."

Averon didn't react.

The bat demon suddenly bowed slightly. "We wish to serve you."

Averon's eyes sharpened. "And who exactly are you?"

The panther demon answered, her voice calm. "We were members of the Fourteen Generals under the previous Demon King."

The young slime's gang stiffened.

The bat demon smiled slightly. "If you will allow it…"

"We wish to join your army," the crocodile demon added.

Averon stared at them silently.

He could feel their power.

'They are extremely dangerous. Why would they want to serve me?' He glanced at his King's Mark.

Before he could respond—

The crocodile demon suddenly looked toward the distant horizon.

His eyes narrowed.

Then he said quietly, "You should prepare."

Averon frowned. "For what?"

The bat demon's smile disappeared.

His voice turned serious. "The world will move against you soon…"

He stared directly into Averon's eyes. "...young king."
