Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 160: Come Back... Save Me...
Evelyn Morgan tried her utmost to escape. She was no match for them in strength, so she could only shout, "There are cameras on this road! If you force me into the car, you’ll spend the rest of your lives in prison!"
As she shouted, she looked at the road, hoping for a car to pass by.
At the very least, she’d have a hope for rescue.
"Prison?" The man laughed as if he’d heard a joke, "My brother and I just got out of prison. If we go back in, at least we’ll have food and drink. Who’s afraid of who? Hahaha—"
"My husband will be here soon. When he sees you bullying me, he won’t let you get away with it!" Evelyn Morgan clutched the car door, refusing to get in, "He’s very capable, very smart, and well-connected. As long as he wants to do something, he succeeds! Offending me means offending him!"
"Then I’d like to see if, later, you’ll mention any other men!" the man said viciously.
Evelyn felt utterly desperate, looking in the direction where Caden Lockwood had driven off, she screamed, "Uncle! Caden Lockwood! Help me! Boo-hoo! Come back quickly! Come back!"
"It’s useless to shout!" The man pried Evelyn’s hands away, pushed her into the back seat, and slammed the car door shut in anger, "Let’s see how you run now!"
Evelyn hurriedly tried to open the car door, but it wouldn’t budge. She attempted to kick it, but she had no strength left.
"I’ll give you money! Let me out of the car! How much do you want?" In her panic, she cried out any method she could think of.
"Money?" A deep expression flashed in the man’s eyes, "Do you really think we’re just bored and randomly grabbing people on the road?"
Hearing the man’s words made Evelyn tremble even more.
Could it be that someone was intentionally trying to harm her?
"Uncle..." she cried and struggled, "Come back... save me... boo-hoo—come back!"
Just when she felt hopeless and thought she was doomed, there was a "bang" sound, and when she opened her eyes, the car window shattered.
Without the window blocking her, she clearly saw a sturdy, bloody fist.
Following the fist upwards, Caden Lockwood’s dark and terrifying face appeared, exuding murderous intent.
She didn’t feel frightened at all, instead, a deep sense of relief, joy, expectation, and hope washed over her.
"Uncle!" Her eyes brimmed with tears as she choked out, "I knew you’d come, I knew you’d return!"
Hearing Evelyn’s words made Caden Lockwood’s heart ache as if trampled by a thousand galloping horses.
Damn it!
What the hell had he done?
How could he have left her here alone?
If he hadn’t had a change of heart on the way and thought to come back and check, God knows what would have happened to her!
He was filled with regret, anger, and frustration, while also blaming fate for being unfair.
She had bullied him so much, why, when he gave her just a small punishment, did he have to bear such intense guilt?
The car door opened, and Caden Lockwood pulled the driver out, giving him a couple of hard punches before pushing him to the ground.
The other man was already terrified; this suddenly appearing man was so fierce and intimidating that it was mortifying!
The man hadn’t even managed to grab Evelyn as a hostage to threaten him before his hand was caught, and with a cracking sound, it was dislocated.
"Ah—" the man screamed.
He was dragged out of the car, taking several punches to his body, lying on the ground unable to get up.
Evelyn was sitting in the car, the door open, meeting Caden Lockwood’s gaze. She sniffled, feeling an urge to burst into tears.
He immediately gathered her in his arms, walking briskly and harshly asking, "Are you hurt anywhere? Hmm? Did they bully you? Were you scared? Are you uncomfortable anywhere? Damn woman! Say something!"
