Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 177: Your Little Wife Is with Another Man
Realizing she had drifted off, Logan Shaw still maintained a polite smile on his face when Cecilia Lynch curiously asked, "Why is she drinking so much? Did you two... have a fight?"
After all, the last time Evelyn Morgan drank, it was because she didn’t see her big brother on her birthday.
Logan Shaw looked at Cecilia Lynch and asked, "Does she often mention me to you?"
Cecilia was taken aback, this man’s sensitivity was a bit too high, wasn’t it?
Although... that was the truth.
But if she said "yes," would it make Evelyn Morgan seem too forward?
Besides, when a woman pursues a man, there should be some strategic restraint, right?
Moreover, the person Evelyn mentioned most often wasn’t Logan Shaw, but Caden Lockwood.
"No, she doesn’t!" Cecilia quickly denied, "She doesn’t mention you all the time! I only heard about you once, which was... the time she saved you."
Upon hearing this, a trace of disappointment flashed in Logan Shaw’s eyes.
When he heard Evelyn calling out the person she liked was him, he couldn’t quite explain his feelings.
Being liked by such an outstanding girl, he felt a bit flattered.
And it seemed... he didn’t reject the idea.
But why didn’t Evelyn often mention him in front of Cecilia?
Isn’t it normal to talk about the person you like in front of your best friend?
"Um... weren’t you going to cook something?" Cecilia softly pulled Logan back from his thoughts, "The kitchen is this way, and the meals are all ready. If you can’t manage, don’t force yourself, I can do it."
"I’ll do it." Logan whispered, "You look quite tired."
Cecilia nodded, just about to praise Logan for being gentle and refined when the doorbell rang.
She went to open the door and saw Julian Keaton. Her eyes widened suddenly, and before she could react, he walked into the house uninvited.
"Aren’t you planning to leave?" Julian looked at Logan busy in the kitchen, then at Cecilia, "Seems like he’s a regular guest?"
"No... no!" Cecilia hurriedly shook her head, "It’s his first time here!"
"A guy who’s here for the first time is cooking in your kitchen, and you two even closed the door?" Julian said harshly, "Are you very familiar with him? Do you know he’s a good guy? Aren’t you afraid of what he might do to you?"
Hearing this, Cecilia’s lips formed an awkward curve, looking very uncomfortable.
Looking at Julian, she didn’t know what to say.
If she said that Julian seemed more like the bad guy right now, he might freak out and lose his temper!
Logan glanced at Julian, not paying much attention to his presence.
After all, as long as Evelyn was sleeping here, he had no intention of leaving.
At least, not until she wakes up and he can be sure she’s okay.
"You should head back." Cecilia looked at Julian, voice very soft, "I’ll find you another day, okay?"
"I’m hungry." Julian said with no good tone, "Isn’t he cooking? Perfect, I can eat too."
With that, Julian sat down on the sofa, took out his phone, and sent a message to Caden Lockwood.
"Where are you?" Julian asked, "I saw your little darling wife, and she’s actually with Logan Shaw."
At this point, Caden, already half-drunk, saw the message from Julian and casually turned off his phone, having no intention of dealing with it.
However, he just couldn’t stand idly by.
Images of Evelyn and Logan being affectionate together flashed through his mind, the two of them inseparable and very much in love.
Dammit!
That girl is still his wife, after all. How dare she mess around with another man, she’ll be dead!
