Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 185: Has She Ever Thought of Him
Evelyn wanted to go see Caden Lockwood.
It would be best if she could bring her final exam results to see him.
Consider it... a reason for her to see him!
No matter what he wanted, she owed him an apology.
The drunken version of her was still her.
The words she said to him were indeed too much.
Moreover, even if he were to be with Shannon Dunn, he should at least sort out their relationship issues first!
Her lips pouted involuntarily. Had he been spending all his time with Shannon Dunn while he was away?
"Do whatever you wish!" L replied, "Just don’t leave yourself with regrets."
Evelyn nodded heavily.
She had wanted to meet Caden Lockwood for a long, long time.
Avoiding the issue would only cause things to stagnate.
She stood up, and just as she was about to head home, her phone rang. It was Logan Shaw calling.
"Evelyn, are your exams over?" Logan asked. "Let’s celebrate the start of summer vacation. Get Cecilia Lynch, and let’s all go out for a meal!"
"Sure!" Evelyn responded, "But this time, let me treat you guys!"
"Once you get your scholarship, then it’ll be your turn to treat." Logan said softly, "I’ve already informed Cecilia, and she’s heading to the restaurant on her own. Are you still at school? I’ll come pick you up."
"No, no, where are we eating? I’ll get there myself!" Evelyn gently declined, "You’re already busy with your concert stuff, no need to drive back and forth. I’ll just take the subway!"
Logan didn’t insist and told Evelyn the dining location before hanging up.
Evelyn took a deep breath. She was going to take this opportunity, with Cecilia Lynch by her side for courage, to ask Logan if he truly was the big brother!
Clenching her fists, she felt a surge of nervousness at the thought of soon discovering such a big truth.
She shivered heavily, then curved her lips into a smile, stretched, and headed towards the restaurant.
Evelyn arrived quickly and found the restaurant, where she waited for Logan Shaw and Cecilia Lynch.
At the crossroads’ traffic light, Sean Ashton was driving Caden Lockwood to a dinner appointment.
Feeling idle and bored, Sean glanced around and unexpectedly saw Evelyn.
"Boss lady!" Sean exclaimed, "Boss, look, the boss lady is over there!"
Upon hearing this, a profound something flashed through Caden Lockwood’s calm eyes. Indeed, there was a hint of joy.
He quickly turned his head in the direction Sean pointed, and sure enough, he saw Evelyn standing in front of a restaurant, looking like she was waiting for someone.
It had been a long time since their last meeting, and she hadn’t changed much. Her pretty face radiated youthful energy, pure and beautiful. The simple sport attire made her look lively.
It seemed she was doing well!
Without him in her life, was she exceptionally carefree?
"Boss, should we drive over?" Sean tentatively asked.
This was the only time Sean had seen a hint of a smile on Caden Lockwood’s face since spending this period with him.
Caden Lockwood did not reply immediately.
Who was Evelyn waiting for?
Had she finished her exams today?
How did they go, he wondered.
Damn it!
Wanting to play it cool like she wasn’t a part of his life, yet unable to resist finding out about everything concerning her.
How was she eating, sleeping, studying, having fun? Without seeing each other for so long, had she ever thought about him?
He wanted to know it all.
He couldn’t wait to know.
Disappointment flooded Sean Ashton’s eyes. He thought Caden Lockwood would let him continue driving.
After all, it was obvious they had been in a couple’s quarrel.
Just then, the red light changed to green, and Sean hesitated without starting the car, causing the cars behind to honk.
It was like Caden Lockwood suddenly woke up and ordered coldly, "Drive over."
