Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 259: Evelyn, Do You Love Him?
"I’m the other woman?" Eleanor Keaton pointed at herself, her expression arrogant, "Evelyn, you’re overestimating yourself, aren’t you? Brother Caden and I were always born to be a pair, he was just momentarily playful being with you, and now you’re accusing me of being the other woman?"
"I recognize the marriage certificate." Evelyn Morgan replied coldly, "On that certificate, Caden Lockwood and I are married, and you, are just a woman coveting my husband."
After speaking, Evelyn raised her chin, glanced at Eleanor Keaton, and turned to leave.
"Evelyn!"
Eleanor Keaton stomped her foot in anger.
She coveted Caden Lockwood?
Clearly, from childhood to adulthood, in everyone’s eyes, the Lockwood and Keaton families were destined to be united!
Even if Caden Lockwood is married now, so what?
Sooner or later, that marriage certificate will turn into a divorce certificate!
Angry at heart, Eleanor Keaton couldn’t help but extend her foot, wanting to trip Evelyn Morgan.
Evelyn was prepared for it.
Recalling Eleanor Keaton’s insults towards Cecilia Lynch, she decisively stepped on Eleanor Keaton’s foot.
Hearing Eleanor’s scream, Evelyn calmly said, "Miss Keaton? How did your foot suddenly extend out? You better be careful in the future, don’t walk paths that aren’t yours."
With those words, she accelerated her pace towards the bus stop.
Evelyn sat in the last row of the bus, the cold air inside biting, she sat there alone, her hairs stood on end.
Earlier, she had behaved very strong in front of Eleanor Keaton.
But in truth, her heart felt like it had fallen into a bottomless pit, feeling guilty and scared.
Someone with her background being together with Caden Lockwood, would obviously invite criticism!
Even if she had no ulterior motives, clinging onto someone as outstanding as Caden Lockwood would still make people think her motives are impure.
Her nose felt sour, looking at the road ahead, she had no destination in mind.
Watching the amusement park slowly recede, her heart moved slightly, and she immediately got off the bus, heading towards the park.
With so many people in the park, she thought, perhaps feeling some joy there would improve her mood.
But wherever Evelyn’s gaze landed, there were either friends, lovers, or families, not a single person was alone.
She awkwardly curled her lips, feeling she truly came to the wrong place.
Leaning against a big tree, she took out her phone and gloomily texted L.
"In this world, there are just so many unfair things. Issues like social disparities can’t actually be overcome, not only do you have to reconcile differences between two people, but also bear the burden of external scrutiny."
She couldn’t find anyone else to vent to.
Logan Shaw had been busy lately, she didn’t want to disturb him.
Thankfully, L’s response wasn’t delayed.
A touch of warmth rose in her heart, L always responded when she needed it.
"This is just a barrier you set up for yourself." L replied, "Two people together will face many problems. Even childhood friends who grew up together and deeply understand each other can’t avoid quarrels."
"Really?" Evelyn bit her lip, and continued to ask, "But I always feel like I’m stealing a moment in life, always thinking that the man now beside me shouldn’t belong to me."
"Do you love him?" L asked.
