Kai widened his eyes as he saw the notification. He thought that he was going to fight too. "Huh, we’ve won! That was quick."

The Arctos was standing with both of its front feet on top of the Fang that was already dead. It made a low rumble that rolled from its chest, not a threat, but satisfaction after it won. It also made a strong exhalation with its nose.

Kai rushed to it to confirm. He realized that the fang had already kicked the bucket. He started to pet the bear as if he were petting a dog as he said, "Good boy, who’s a good boy, who’s a good boy? Hahaha, that was good. I hope you didn’t get hurt again since you already have a mark from me."

In response, it made a strong exhalation through its nose and looked down.

He also took that as a response. He nodded, then he said, "Good, I’m sure you are tired, so we will walk to the next stage, the shed place, I’m sure in caves. Maybe in the nearest mountain," he said as he started to look around.

The Arctos glared at Kai and looked away. It was hesitating as it reversed while Kai got astonished by the sudden change of expression.

The Arctos looked a bit scared, and it looked away in fear.

Kai noticed its reaction and got puzzled for a second. He said, "Huh, anything wrong? Wait, did you get hurt?" His mind raced as he tried to pinpoint what made it look that way.

The bear was not understandable; its actions were very different from the time when they arrived at this place filled with rocks.

Kai smiled and looked at the bear as he kneeled down. He said, "Ahh, I guess it would be better if you were speaking." The Arctos acted like a human and looked away in disappointment.

Kai came out with another idea that was maybe the main reason for the reaction. He asked, "Wait a second, are you scared?"

It softly growled and looked away again.

"Ahha!" he said as he pointed at the bear with his two index fingers after getting the real cause. He continued saying, "So that’s the reason? Okay, then, we will go together, but you’ll be hidden; you won’t get to fight until you feel like you want to fight. I’ve got a hideout for you so that we will be together. How is that? Scary, huh? Hahaha!" He laughed as he touched its forehead.

He stood up and said, "Now, let’s go!"

The bear stood up as if it was disappointed, and it shook off the snow that was on its back. The shaken-off snow went to Kai’s face.

With a happy voice, he asked, "Hey, why didn’t you give me a heads up? Hahaha!"

He laughed as he enjoyed himself with his beast.

They took off walking slowly like he said. Suddenly, the Arctos held his trouser pants and the jacket with its mouth and made sure that it wasn’t going to bite him.

A bit surprised, he asked, "Huh, what now?" He wasn’t expecting anything like that.

He was thrown to its back. He flew to the back and realized that it wanted him to ride.

He was thrown a bit aside, but when he made his realization, he instantly reacted and grabbed it and pulled himself to its back.

When both of his legs found their side, the arctos started running. It led him to where he wanted to go. It was familiar with the places, so it took him wherever he said he wanted to go.

This time, it even knew the entrance. When it heard Kai talking about the shed place, more of a cave, it knew what he was talking about. It knew all the threats of the place too.

On their way, Kai told it about what he was doing.

He started by saying, "Hey big guy... I’m sorry for the fight, and I should give you a name, but not now; I’ll need some strength for it, so..." He exhaled and gently closed his eyes from disappointment. He then lay on his stomach again.

He continued saying, "Then I’m sure you are thinking that I’m going to commit suicide and something like that, and I’m sure you asked yourself, ’Why am I fighting with these beasts, and how do I know where they are located but without knowing the actual place?’" The beast growled a bit and listened as he continued.

"Then, I’ll tell you that I’m doing a punishment; it’s bad that I have to fight with you guys, but I have no choice." He paused and took a deep breath.

He continued saying, "So, I was given 5 hours to kill 3 beasts: you, the wolf, and the unknown beast that I should fight with now."

The Arctos stopped running, and it started jogging. Kai was surprised by the sudden change of motion. He watched the Arctos going to the right and left side as it continued to go forward.

After 20 meters, it stopped and looked behind. It strongly exhaled through its nose as it tried to communicate.

Kai narrowed his eyes as he looked where they came from. He realized that the Arctos wanted to show him something. He asked, "Wait, what’s that? Snake, wait a second."

The Arctos started moving forward again.

Out of curiosity, his eyes widened, and he asked, "Are you trying to say that the last beast is a snake?" The Arctos growled softly and continued the journey.

Kai concluded, saying, "Whoa, no wonder why you were scared!" With a smile on his face, he continued saying, "Okay, let’s get there and see what kind of a snake it is!"
