The area gained more tension; the two humans had their hearts racing, but differently. Kai was a bit scared but ready to fight, but Sophia was unable to move with the shake on her knees.

When she heard an explosion-like sound, she got more scared. She thought maybe it was Kai who was kicked to the wall.

With her mind, her eyes dripping wet with tears, she silently said, ’Kai, no, I hope, I hope you are alright.’ She paused and tightened her closed eyelids.

She pictured 5 girls who were looking strong. They had a fire-like aura that was surrounding them. Their faces were black, and her vision wasn’t clear. She clenched her shaking fist and continued, ’But, but I, I should move. How can I prove myself if I get shaky like this? I should do something. Maybe he needs my help. No, not maybe; we are here together, so I should help him. Move it, Sophia, you’ve got this; elves don’t usually get scared of anything,’ she said while her teeth angrily gritted.

Suddenly, a big fist swiftly charged behind Kai’s head. He felt the motion, and in his mind, he heard the wolf’s whimper.

He suddenly jumped, but he barely dodged the attack. It was mostly aiming at him, and it also thought that he was going to go down and he’d be squashed like an ant, but he read the situation and jumped away, and he was pushed by the force of the hit on the ground, and he was going forward, away from Sophia.

The knife was hit and was broken into two pieces, the handle and the blade. He widened his eyes when he saw the incident happening; luckily, his knife was sloping so that when the axe hit it, it was diverted a bit to Kai’s left ear.
