Soul World Of Strong Souls-Chapter 80: “.. it’s time to fight ”

Sophia widened her eyes in astonishment after she heard Kai’s laughter.

Her heart raced and made some loud thuds in her chest. In her thoughts, she said, ’Wait, that’s Kai’s voice. What’s going on...?’ she asked herself while she was out of clues.

Her shaking body took a break as astonishment loaded up.

She furrowed her brows and got more curious. With a low voice, she asked again, "What is he up to?"

She went to the corner and took a peek.

Her eyes widened more, and her lips trembled after she saw what the place was like.

She suddenly went back and leaned on the wall with her back while she panted.

She suddenly sobbed, and her heart raced, and it made a lot of noise. She held her mouth before she loudly cried.

She then said, ’Kai no! Let’s hope you are not poisoned again!’ she thought, while tears flowed down her face as she silently cried.

She thought that he was poisoned because the way he was, his personality, and the sound he released were totally different when it reached Sophia’s ears.

She then tried to calm herself down. She took a lot of deep breaths, in and out slowly, while she thought. ’I’m sure he’s not; I should calm down. This demon is not strong enough to poison Kai....’ She paused and also paused her deep breaths. Her eyes darted around, and she continued, ’But that wolf poisoned him.’

She thought of the wolf since it was a low level, but it managed to poison him the last time.

She posed like a statue while she widely opened her eyes and stared at the other wall. She was frozen, lost in thoughts. She suddenly woke up and softly hit her head twice while she said, ’No, I should stop thinking negatively,’ she said while she shook her head.

She continued, ’The poison, I’m thinking, that makes someone lose his senses is mostly released by Kurobies that are in level 2 or 3 going up. So this ordinary demon can be...’ She took a deep breath and continued, ’can be no threat.’ Phew, she released, trying to get calmer.

Kai continued laughing, annoying Sophia more than she was. She stood straight, no longer leaning on the wall. She silently said, ’I should help him. What if ...’ She kept thinking that he was poisoned. Her mind didn’t even give her a break. She then loudly growled, "Grrrr, I’m going!" she said while she turned to the corner.

She tightly held her sword and walked to the light. She stopped and glared at where Kai was. She then narrowed her eyes that were filled with determination. She looked ready to fight and ready to slay anything in her way.

On Kai’s side, he continued laughing for a minute, then paused as he took a deep breath.

Pheww, he released it, and suddenly, he jumped upwards, letting the axe pass under him. The demon pulled the axe again, and Kai saw it and let it pass down his feet after he went up. Before a second, he swiftly charged towards the demon.

He passed the pulled axe and went straight for the other hand that was simply relaxed, waiting for action.

He sliced the arm more than five times, but he left only five marks. His weapon showed only a shine in the air, and in a second, Kai was standing behind the demon.

Its arm was sliced and not cut; it was like a cut steak of meat but never cut through. The cuts started from its upper elbow, going straight for its hand.

It was astonishing that a knuckle knife managed to cut the Demon’s bones because the cut place was waiting to fall; a simple cut was going to get five steaks to fall down.

Meanwhile, when Kai went on his right side, aiming for the demon’s left hand, on its right side, there was danger too. The right arm was stretched forward, waiting for the axe, but before noticing it, the sound of something like metal echoed on the ground, followed by a thud that sprayed a green goo.

The demon’s right arm fell down after a big slice from Sophia, who was behind it. She was glaring at the ground after she successfully cut. She hardly breathed, and the flying axe lost its flying power during that second, and it suddenly went down and crashed on the ground.

The demon angrily growled with its mouth closed. The noise made the walls rumble just like the sound of its growl. When it growled, it was also turning around to check for Sophia, who cut its right hand from the blues.

Kai turned around to the right side, ready to strike again; he then saw the demon’s shoulder missing an arm.

He furrowed his brows in confusion and closely verified the arm and said, ’Wait, where did that arm go? I’m sure I didn’t...’ He paused and sneered while he fiercely glared at the demon. ’Huh, who cares? It’s time to finish it up’ he said while he made a move.

He swiftly charged towards it, going for the head, and surprisingly, it was looking in his direction, but when he cut it, it was looking the opposite way. He didn’t realize Sophia was on the right side.

Meanwhile, on Sophia’s side. She looked at the growling demon since it was right in front of her. When she raised her eyes, she saw the arm barely hanging by the last pieces since it was cut in five places and left without cutting through.

She also raised her left eyebrow up as she closely verified, trying to fight back confusion. She silently said, ’Huh? How did I do that? Didn’t I cut its shoulder...?"

Suddenly, the arm got back to normal. It made a (cliff—click) sound, and the arm was as good as new. Sophia widened her eyes and raised them to its head that was at the top, since the demon was taller than her.

Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of something flying like a bird on its head, and suddenly, she witnessed a lot of shining lights around its neck, and at the same time, there were cutting or slicing sounds.

She gasped in astonishment and watched some green drops going straight to her face, and within a second, there was a big round green thing that fell from the top, followed by some pieces that were small. The falling things were followed by the green goo.

The big thing landed, and two open and widened eyes glared at Sophia. She panicked and screamed as she jumped backwards in fear while her heart raced, and at the same time, her face froze at the same point.

Meanwhile, Kai landed behind the demon with his eyes closed while his face had some green dots. He stood up straight and took a deep breath and wiped his face with the back of his right hand, leaving the green goo on his face where his hand crossed.
