The night passed by quickly, and by the time Eric woke up, it was already afternoon. He woke up late, missing school in the process. He still had the option to go, but after what happened the previous night, he needed some time to himself.

Plus, his teachers would just give him detention.

"Man..." His memory was still a bit foggy, but he couldn’t recall the details of what happened after he passed out.

This allows the sword to project energy slashes that is said to penetrate even the skin of a Ravemite predator.

Disruptors has the ability to damage matter at an alarming rate by breaking down the molecular bonds gradually, the Type-6 disruptor can do the same but at an even greater pace. It can also serve as a basic gun which can be used to fire different projectiles, the most popular one being fast moving Azrain bullets, which is said to be able to penetrate even the skin of a Ravemite predator.

He stood to his feet, opened his curtains and took in the afternoon sun.

"I’m not sure of anything anymore, but what I’m sure of is I need a break, a break where I can just cool off and forget about everything that has happened. Thankfully, D.E.L.T.A is not going to be operational for the next two or four days, that’s plenty of time."

Victoria’s Mansion

The Lynch estate was the property of Victoria Stones — whose real Identity is Victoria Stones. It consisted of several houses, which she all owned. But the one that stood out the most, was her mansion,

It was large and elegant, with tall windows, wide doors, and a grand front that showed both wealth and taste. A stone path led through a neat garden to the entrance, and the house stood quietly, like it was watching over everything around it.

In the mansion’s spacious living room, Victoria and her three friends sat across each other, all exchanging laughters and gists about what men tried their luck with them the other day.

All except Victoria.

She had her eyes glued to her screen, watching it like a falcon fixed on it’s prey.

"Victoria." One of her friends — Amaya, called out to her, but she didn’t respond.

"Victoria!" Her other friend — Grant, shouted, and she snapped back to her senses.

"Hm?"

"Girl, you’ve been staring at your phone for almost twenty minutes now, is anything wrong?" Amaya asked, swirling a glass of expensive italian wine in her hands.

"Oh... It’s nothing." She bit her lower lip.

"I know that look... Who’s the lucky man?" Grant smiled, drawing closer to her.

"Man!?" Her cheeks went beet red, and it was obvious, thanks to her fair complexion.

"Girl you’re blushing like crazy, it has to be a man, who is it?" Both girls pressured her, and she didn’t know what to say. She opened her mouth, but the words simply refused to escape it.

Her third friend — Emily, who sat right besides her, snatched her phone from her hands.

"Hey!" She tried to take it back, but Emily chuckled, using her left arm as a barrier between Victoria and the phone.

"What’s this?" She increased the brightness of her phone, and there it was. The official page of the Shadow Vigilante, The Real Phantom.

"The Real Phantom?" She was shocked, so were the rest of her friends. Out of all the men she chose to go for, it was the Shadow Vigilante.

"Phantom Victoria? You fell for Phantom?" They all giggled, and she grabbed her phone from her hands, embarrassed.

"Who can blame her, it’s always the, mysterious, I’m too cool to be seen in the day light type of guy." Grant chuckled.

"Yeah, and from what I heard, they are the ones that are good in bed . They know how to bend women over and pound all the stress out of us. AAGH!" Amaya moaned slightly, smacking her lips just at the thought of it.

They all laughed.

But Victoria didn’t know what to say, she wanted to deny it, but at the same time, she couldn’t. "I’m a virgin, and I’d like to keep it that way please." She said.

"We’re just messing with you, but seriously Victoria, we gotta know."

They all glanced at her, but no matter how hard she tried to deny it, her beet red cheeks said it all.

"Fine. No... Yes... Maybe?"

She didn’t know what to say.

Victoria posted the previous night that a new video would drop, but it was already 12 noon, and there were no updates.

It made her anxious. Was he okay?

"Okay, let’s start with this. What do you like about him?"

"Errm." She bit her nails. "The way he fights crime, the way he throws himself into danger even without any real talent or abilities. It’s like he’s not doing it for the fame, you know? The money, the popularity, he doesn’t want any of it. And he made me rethink my position as Earth’s defender...."

"Girl, you’re a great soldier. The top second agent in all of Starcore Delta, no Vigilante can’t say otherwise!" They supported her.

"Yeah... But that feeling, you know? When you do good for the sake of it, not just for the money or fame of the job... He reminded me of that..."

"Girl, you’re in your own world right now, why don’t we just watch some TV to get your mind off this whole Vigilante situation." Grant reached for the remote and switched on the television.

On the Nova City news, a video of Phantom getting pummeled by the mutated human popped up, and Victoria shot to her feet, with her hands over her mouth.

"Oh my God!"

Her friends watched in awe, it was the first time Victoria had actually caught feelings for a guy after becoming a space agent, but now, before she could even meet him, he was pummeled to his death.

"Poor Phantom."

"That’s what he gets for interfering in the work of a-"

Then the footage of him in his armor popped up, and their eyes went wide immediately. The armor, his stance, the way he singlehandedly defeated the monster.

"Since when did he have a suit of armor?"

"You were right Victoria... He didn’t just put himself in danger, he is the danger." Grant grinned, biting the nail of her index finger, staring lewdly at the screen, almost like she was turned on just by watching it.

"Phantom..." Victoria muttered under her breath, her eyes wide with excitement. He wasn’t dead!
