Stranger Danger-Chapter 1328: Anomalous World
Chapter 1328: Anomalous World
“Neigh!”
A moment later, Ye Qing heard a whinny from the distance. The black fog stirred ominously.
With a thought, Ye Qing turned his pupils black and white. They rotated slowly like a black fish and a white fish chasing each other’s tail.
“Yin Yang Spell Eyes”
The Yin Yang Spell Eyes could split yin and yang, dispel illusions, and identify truths. It allowed him to finally pierce through the black fog that had obfuscated his senses completely until this point.
Ye Qing saw a horse carriage. At first glance, it was a perfectly ordinary, wood-made carriage, one that had not aged gracefully throughout the years. The carriage was missing bits and pieces, the paint was gone here and there, and the curtains looked dry and yellow.
The horses pulling the carriage were old, thin, and looking dull. They were the complete opposite of strong and handsome.
And yet, the ordinary-looking horse carriage was shrouded by a thick black fog. More accurately, the black fog had seeped out from within the carriage. Old and shabby-looking as it was, the horse carriage moved swiftly and soundlessly. It was as if it was gliding between the gaps of the real and unreal.
At first, the horse carriage was very far away. Just the blink of an eye later, it reached the gates and drove into Blue Pine Town.
Thanks to the Yin Yang Spell Eyes, Ye Qing could tell that the black fog stirred, and the time and space near the Yin Horse Carriage seemed to spiral into chaos. All the citizens it passed by, be it those walking on the streets or inside the buildings, went missing without a trace.
When the Yin Horse Carriage reached the restaurant Ye Qing was hiding at, the black fog stirred, and he lost his focus for just an instant. When he came to, he realized that he was no longer inside the restaurant. He was now sitting inside a horse carriage.
Clearly, the horse carriage was the Yin Horse Carriage. Sitting beside him were Papersmith and the paper puppets.
“No wonder the chief and everyone failed to put up any resistance whatsoever.”
The Yin Horse carriage’s ability to teleport all living things around it into itself was truly anomalous. It was to the point where even he, who knew what was coming, could not quite react to it in time. Naturally, the Pacification Bureau group and the ordinary people could only fare worse.
From the outside, the Yin Horse Carriage looked shabby and small. One would think that it could not fit even three people comfortably. In reality, the Yin Horse Carriage’s internal space was massive and overflowing with black fog at least ten times thicker than the ones outside. It was to the point where even Ye Qing’s Yin Yang Spell Eyes was suppressed to an extent. As a result, he was unable to tell exactly how big the internal space of the Yin Horse Carriage was.
Ye Qing found himself unable to move freely inside the carriage. A powerful force was trapping him in place. However, Ye Qing reckoned that he could break free easily if he activated his Earthly Sovereign True Body.
Of course, Ye Qing did not do so. He did not want to draw attention to himself or start anything just yet.
It was worth mentioning that he could see outside the window despite being unable to move or perceive the Yin Horse Carriage’s internal space. It was quite strange.
Ye Qing was still thinking when the Yin Horse Carriage left Blue Pine Town. The next moment, it was as if it had departed the human world itself. The world outside turned into chaos and nothing for a moment before all sorts of bright colors replaced it. The next moment, he saw bizarre sights such as mountains that were suspended upside down in the air, rivers that flowed into the sky, cities that floated in the sky, rainbows that spanned below the ground, and more. It was all bizarre and unusual.
This wasn’t Ye Qing’s first rodeo. He had traversed the Yin Yang Gap riding the Night Walker’s Yin Yang Litter before. That was why he could say with certainty that the scenery was even more anomalous than his previous experience. In fact, he was sure that they weren’t at the Yin Yang Gap at all.
He didn’t know where they were though.
Besides bizarre scenery, there existed countless anomalies and horrors in this strange realm.
He saw a city that looked bright, warm, and lively from the outside. However, his Yin Yang Spell Eyes told him that it was really a giant tomb where corpses were strewn everywhere, and the bones piled like mountains.
He saw a dazzling, sumptuous mountain villa that was really a giant maw of indescribable shape.
He saw a beautiful forest that looked like paradise on earth with its emerald green trees, expanses of flowers, and gentle breeze. In fact, every single plant was a strand of hair.
He saw a wedding that played a funeral song.
He saw a young child carrying a temple of bones on his back and shambling to god-knows-where. The sounds of chanting coming from the temple were loud and grand, but the chanters were all blue-faced, long-fanged ghosts.
He saw an antiqued town with antiqued fashion and antiqued people doing whatever they were supposed to be doing, but each person was really a patch of human skin.
......
The number of horrors outside were literally innumerable. It was to the point where one became desensitized with it.
“Young master, my paper puppets are disappearing.”
It was at this moment Papersmith’s voice rang inside Ye Qing’s heart.
“I know.”
Ye Qing nodded. He could tell even without Papersmith’s warning that the paper puppets in the horse carriage were disappearing one after another.
Specifically, every time the Yin Horse Carriage passed through a particular location, some of the paper puppets would go missing.
Obviously, the Yin Horse Carriage was dumping them into these anomalous lands.
“Be careful. Tell me immediately if you notice something amiss,” Ye Qing warned.
“As you command, young master,” Papersmith replied.
“Roooaaaarrrrr!!!”
It was at this moment Ye Qing heard an angry roar. It was warped, twisted, and hair-raising. A whinny was mixed within the roar as well. The next moment, the Yin Horse Carriage suddenly shook violently like they were experiencing turbulence.
This was unusual because they had not felt any turbulence whatsoever since entering the Yin Horse Carriage. It had traveled across mountains, waters, and all other terrains as if they were all flat plains.
The next moment, Ye Qing saw a giant hand covered in red hair ripping apart the black fog and making a grab for the Yin Horse Carriage. That was why the horse carriage was shaking.
Although he was inside the Yin Horse Carriage, Ye Qing still felt a great pressure from the giant hand.
The owner of the giant hand seemed to be a dead body. Ye Qing deduced this because the giant hand had emerged from a coffin.
The bronze coffin was immeasurably huge and suspended in the air by four chains. It was emitting a terrifying and grand aura.
When the giant hand reached out of the coffin, the bronze coffin shook violently, and the chains clattered incessantly. An invisible yet unmissable aura was spreading across the air.
As the giant hand came closer, the black fog within the Yin Horse Carriage surged out crazily. The next moment, the four old, dull, and thin horses pulling the carriage swelled in size and burst into black flames. They neighed fiercely.
The Yin Horse Carriage abruptly sped up and dodged the giant hand. Then, the four flaming horses stomped down on it in unison.
Buzz! fгeewebnovёl.com
There was an invisible buzz, and the giant hand was stomped into pieces just like that. Large chunks of flesh and blood the size of hills spilled toward the ground, shattering real mountains and dyeing real rivers red.
The Yin Horse Carriage casually took off after stomping the giant hand into pieces, leaving behind a furious but impotent howl behind.
