Old Man Turtle pulled the treasures into his hand and examined them carefully. “They are sparkling and translucent, pure and limpid, colorful and bright. A single bead is worth ten thousand gold. This girl must possess an extraordinary bloodline. I’m willing to bet that she’s a royalty of the Feathers.”

“Stop teasing the little girl, Joyless.”

It was at this moment Feng Qingyou spoke up, “Since we have gotten the pill, there is no need to linger any longer.”

“Fine. You can have your feather back, so stop crying.”

To be honest, Ye Qing never actually wanted to take the spirit feather for himself. It was an extraordinary object, but it was mostly useless to him. The reason he did it was because he was one, curious about the girl’s identity, and two, he wanted to tease her. She was a cute and adorable little girl after all.

He already guessed that the girl was a Feather, but he never thought that she was royalty until now.

The royal family was highly esteemed among the Feathers. They were basically the imperial family of a human empire.

It wasn’t just status that earned them the respect of their fellow Feathers. There was also power.

The bloodline of a Feather royal was extraordinary. Every single one of them boasted incredible strength.

This would explain why the young girl was already a Half-Sage at her age.

The young girl also claimed that her parents were powerful. Now, he knew that it probably wasn’t a lie.

The girl called out to the trio a couple of times, but they ignored her. They were gone very soon. The girl hesitated for a second before breaking into a naughty grin. Then, she secretly followed behind them.

Inside the Cloud Boat, Old Man Turtle glanced outside the window. Although the girl did very well to conceal her tracks, no one here was an ordinary person. Naturally, her attempt at subterfuge was completely useless.

Ye Qing paid the girl no attention and produced the pill.

“Sigh, you lucky boy.”

Old Man Turtle sighed. To be honest, he was beginning to regret his earlier decision. If he knew the pill was this potent, then he wouldn’t have pretended to be generous.

That said, it wouldn’t be right for him to break his word now. He might be old, but he still wanted his face. It also didn’t make sense to have a fall out with Ye QIng and Feng Qingyou over a single pill—especially since he might not be a match for them.

“Hehe... luck is all I have,” Ye Qing replied with a smile and a hidden glint of the eye.

He didn’t really covet the pill that much. He only wanted to test Old Man Turtle and check if he harbored an ulterior motive. So far though, he hadn’t found anything.

“Joyless is just joking. We have gotten this pill together. Of course you would get a share of it, elder.” Feng Qingyou knew what Ye Qing was thinking as a matter of course and played the mediator.

Old Man Turtle smiled. “I would be lying if I say that I don’t desire the pill, but it’s not like it’s the best treasure I’ve ever seen in my life. I won’t break my word and cause a rift between us.”

Ye Qing paid him a compliment, “As expected of an enlightened senior! The breadth of your chest is greater than most!”

Old Man Turtle chided him, “Stop trying to butter me up. I’m immune to it.”

“This junior speaks from the heart, elder!” Ye Qing hurriedly defended himself. “If my words are a lie, then...”

He pointed at the pill and swore an oath, “May the heavens smite this little pill to death!”

The pill was dumbfounded. Why are you dragging me into your oath? And why should I die if you break your oath?

“Hmm? Why did you stop crying?”

Ye Qing smiled at the pill and placed a bottle in front of it. “Be a good pill and cry some more. Do your best to fill up this entire bottle, yeah?”

Seeing no response from the pill, Ye Qing let out a dark chuckle. “Or, you can not cry and let me eat you!”
