The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 103: Know your body well
"But I have a good control too," Radulf said, taking a step back from her and resting his elbows on the balustrade. He didn’t tell her how he was taking pills to avoid any mishap until Zenna provided him a green signal.
"Do you think Nina’s departure to the palace is a good thing? You told me you should keep your enemies closer. I am surprised you aren’t stopping her this time," Zenna stated.
"I think Nina crossed the line with you. Birds of the same feathers flock together. Nina’s goal is at least clear to me now. She wants something bigger for her," Radulf stated.
"You think she and the Luna Queen are kind of similar?" She raised her brow.
"Aren’t they? Sadistic people who find pleasure in others’ pain," Radulf remarked. He reached out his hand to hold hers and drew her close. "I am quite impressed by you though. I met a pack member today. You saved the life of his kids by bringing rare herbs from the palace. He was so thankful to have such a luna for their pack," he stated, looking into her eyes with adoration.
"I told you this pack became my family the moment I got married to you," Zenna replied. "Let’s go in. It’s hot here," she murmured, taking a step back. He let go of her hand and followed her into the chamber.
"I am unable to unbutton this," Radulf said, fumbling with the neck button of the waistcoat.
Zenna approached him and opened it with ease. She unbuttoned the remaining ones as well and gently pulled it down his arms.
After opening the four buttons of his shirt, Radulf sat on the sofa with his one leg above the other.
"Have you ever thought about training?" Radulf suddenly questioned her.
"No."
"Then, you must start it. Make your body stronger," he suggested.
"I’m old enough to join any werewolf school," Zenna said.
"I’ll train you," Radulf offered.
"No, thank you," she refused promptly.
"Why?"
"I’ve heard that your methods are brutal when it comes to training. I’ll ask Savio to teach me how to fight," she explained.
"Savio isn’t as great as me. You’ll have fun training with me. And I know your body well. I am the best teacher for you. I’m not hearing any argument on this!" Radulf pronounced, declaring he would help her train.
"Why does it seem like you are going to give me a hard time while training?" Zenna frowned at him.
"We haven’t even started, and you have already started thinking all sorts of excuses. Not good, Zenna. I thought you were diligent about learning," Radulf said, his eyes shining greener with amusement.
Zenna twitched her lips but didn’t say anything.
"Have you ever thought where your letters disappeared?" Radulf suddenly touched a topic, which was insensitive for Zenna. "Or do you still believe that I lied to you?"
"I think the messenger lost them. You were so busy at war that every time my letters reached you, they might have gotten displaced," Zenna stated.
"Hmm." Radulf didn’t reveal the truth to her of having the possession of all the letters.
"Why don’t you tell me what was your most beautiful letter for me? The one, which you wrote with the bottom of your heart and sent to me in the hope I would be there with you," Radulf said with a thoughtful gaze.
Zenna contemplated for a moment before speaking. "That’s difficult to say. All my letters to you were from the bottom of my heart. I poured all my emotions while writing them to you. If I had to choose a single one among them, then that would be difficult," she explained to him.
"I see," Radulf said and moved the ring on his finger. "What are your current feelings for me? Has your love ended for me?"
"I can’t answer that," Zenna said. "I need to see Pia. You can take some rest before you’ll be called for lunch," she replied and quickly rushed out of the chamber.
Radulf chuckled, seeing the way she left. "She definitely loves me. But she is resisting because she wants to make sure I, too, love her the same way," he murmured and chuckled before lying on the sofa, resting a cushion under his head. He had closed his eyes for a moment when he heard the familiar footsteps.
"What is it, Savio?" Radulf asked.
"I’ve made the arrangements for Miss Harbinger’s departure," Savio informed him.
"Great."
"What’s in your mind, Alpha? I thought you would stop her because you didn’t wish her to join the royalty," Savio said, clearly confused. He took a seat across from Radulf, ready to hear his explanation.
"I want no misunderstandings between me and Zenna. That’s why I have decided it’s best to let go of Nina. I cannot control her actions all the time," Radulf explained.
"Shouldn’t you have done it long ago? That’s why it is said to sometimes listen to the advice of your best friend," Savio taunted. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
"I did it now. What difference does it make?" Radulf tilted his head and looked at Savio finally. "But now the question is, will Leon agree to marry Nina? He likes Zenna. And he did everything to break Zenna completely, so that one day, Zenna would go to him," he muttered.
"The royals care about power. If Nina can give them the support of her kingdom, the Crown Prince will never refuse this marriage alliance. However, what confuses me is what Nina will do to you or Zenna after becoming the Crown Princess. She is no lesser than Aria. Don’t you think the same, Alpha Radulf?" Savio wanted to know his views on it.
"I don’t want to worry about that now. My prime concern for now is awakening Zenna’s wolf. Did I tell you I made progress? Zenna and I talked through mind links last night. Isn’t that a big achievement?" Radulf smirked.
Savio was quite surprised to learn that. "That’s wonderful. It means Zenna truly holds a wolf, but in a dormant state," he pronounced.
"Yes," Radulf replied.
"How did you achieve that?" Savio asked.
"I’m not telling you. That’s personal," Radulf replied, smiling brightly.
