Harlow had come for one purpose and one purpose only—The Truth...

She had no idea how Elisa had managed to keep it hidden for so long, even with all the tests her father had conducted in the past.

Was that why they had killed him before?

Had he found out the truth?

Was that why he had wanted a son?

Maybe Frank had tried for another child because he had discovered that Claudia wasn’t his... and that Harlow was useless to him.

Harlow swallowed hard, blinking away the sting in her eyes. She owed him an apology for her past life.

She had been foolish. Blinded by love.

She hadn’t seen the danger lurking right in front of her, but this time... this time she would make things right. She would protect him from those two snakes.

Moving smoothly through the corridor, she stopped in front of Claudia’s bedroom door.

She wasn’t here for the document. She didn’t have time to steal it. What she needed was solid evidence.

Pushing the door open, Harlow stepped inside. Today, she would find out the truth about everything. If Claudia wasn’t really her sister... then she was done for.

Harlow pulled a pair of gloves from her purse, sliding them on before heading into the bathroom. Her sharp eyes scanned the counter for a hairbrush. Just a few strands will do the trick.

But there was nothing.

Not a brush.

Not even a comb.

Harlow frowned. She had underestimated Claudia so much. She seems smarter.

She couldn’t find a trace of used comb because Claudia had hidden all traces of her DNA, making sure there was nothing to collect.

Stepping back into the bedroom, Harlow searched through drawers, shelves, anything. But it was the same... nothing.

Only brand-new brushes and combs. Because Claudia never used one twice. She would throw them away after a single use, just in case someone, like Harlow, tried to use them against her.

’Paranoid little thief’, Harlow thought with a smirk.

But if Claudia thought she could hide from the truth, she was dead wrong. Harlow would get what she came for.

Without wasting another second, she hurried to Frank’s room. When she reached the bathroom, her lips curled into a triumphant smile.

His hairbrush.

Quickly, she plucked a few strands and sealed them inside a silicone bag. One down, one to go. She yanked off her gloves and slipped out of the room.

But just as she made her way down the hall...

"Harlow?" The voice was sharp, laced with hostility.

Lia. She glared at her most hated sister-in-law. The same girl who had humiliated her the last time she was here.

Harlow slowed her steps as she turned to face her. Several people stood behind her, including Elisa and Claudia and a strange man. Each one glared at her like she was an intruder in their kingdom.

Elisa’s expression darkened, and Claudia’s jaw clenched.

They still hadn’t forgiven her for humiliating them last time. Her only savior was Alanis, and it seems he’s not here to save her today. They would deal with Harlow so much that she would never step her feet here.

"The audacity to show your face after what you did," Claudia sneered.

"You have no right to be in this mansion!" Elisa snapped.

Harlow raised a brow. "Why?" she asked calmly. "Why don’t I have the right to be in my father’s house?"

A tense silence filled the corridor. They were the intruders, not her. They have no business being here.

At the corner, Bodhi watched her carefully, his sharp eyes narrowing.

This girl was nothing like Elisa had described. She didn’t look weak. She wasn’t someone they could push around. Or eliminate so easily.

Lia suddenly let out a laugh. "Look at you, Harlow," she taunted. "Do you actually think you have a say in this house?" She has lived here long enough to know Elisa and Claudia are Frank’s most favorable people. He doesn’t care about Harlow at all.

Harlow didn’t flinch. She had enough time to respond and taunt these people today. Anything that would make her get what she wants.

"The fact that you’re even speaking to me this way..." Harlow’s smile widened. "Maybe I should throw you out, just like your family did. Maybe after living on the streets, you’ll learn some manners." Lia frowned at her words.

"I’d like to see you try Harlow." She retorted because she knew Elisa and Claudia would always back her up.

"Don’t forget," she said smoothly, "I still have the upper hand over you, Lia. I can extend your punishment however I like."

Lia’s face twisted, but she didn’t say another word.

Just two days.

Two more days and she’d return to her family... and Harlow would pay.

Harlow turned to Elisa next. "I don’t have the right to be here, but your little thief of a daughter can raid my apartment and steal whatever she likes?"

Claudia’s eyes widened.

How did she find out? She had been careful. She had made sure no one saw her. She had threatened the maids to stay silent.

"That’s a lie!" Claudia snapped. "What proof do you have that I stole anything from you?"

Harlow smirked.

"Did you forget the Hamilton Villa has cameras?" she asked. "Or did you think I wouldn’t find out?"

Claudia’s face paled.

"Tell me," Harlow continued, stepping closer. "What’s in that document? Why are you so desperate to get your hands on it? Even after I exposed your fake miscarriage?"

"I’m curious, big sister, what are you so afraid of?" She continued.

Elisa stiffened.

She had warned Claudia to leave the document alone. To avoid suspicion. But her stupid daughter wouldn’t listen.

Harlow, meanwhile, was more determined than ever to get Claudia’s hair sample. And she would, one way or another. She stared at her sister’s hair, that was her target. Anything to get it.

"What nonsense are you talking about, Harlow?!" Elisa snapped. "Haven’t you done enough? Why won’t you just leave us alone?" The desperation in her voice was almost laughable.

"Give it back, Harlow," Claudia hissed. "You don’t want me to hurt you."

Harlow blinked. Then, slowly, she laughed.

"Hurt me?" she echoed. The absurdity of it was almost amusing.

"Who is she, and why is she threatening our Claudia?" Bodhi asked Lia who had stepped backwards, his glare sharp as a knife.

He would never let anyone harm his daughter. Not even if this girl was truly Frank’s real child.

This was exactly why he had told Elisa to deal with her before they dealt with Frank.

But before anyone could speak, "Harlow!!" Claudia charged at Harlow, rage twisting her face.

Harlow didn’t flinch. She moved faster, grabbing a fistful of Claudia’s hair, she yanked her to the side.
