The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 324: Golden Style Resort

"For me?" Emily asked in surprise as she looked at the dagger in her hand before turning her attention back to Shadow who slowly nodded his head in response to her question.

"It was made for you and it finally found its way to you." There was a weird look in his eyes as he gave her a vague answer, still not telling her exactly why the dagger was made for her and how it ended up with the Fae King.

"Care to explain more?" She wasn’t ready to give up so easily as she had started getting tired of him keeping things from her all the time. She didn’t like being put in the dark all the time while he shoulders everything all alone. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Shadow shook his head in negative in response to her question he stated, "That’s all you need to know - the dagger was made for you and now it’s in your possession. Keep it safe and use it wisely."

"But..." Emily tried to protest but was silenced by the soft and warm feathery kiss that the man placed on her forehead before stepping away.

That small interaction had successfully pulled her attention away from the topic as all that she could think about was the lingering feeling of his lips against her skin. The way her heart jumped and her breathing slowed made her realize just how deep in trouble she was because of her feelings for him.

She turned to look at the man and found him using a sell to start the elevator which had been lingering between two floors all this time. It started moving again just in a couple of seconds and soon they both were stepping out into the lobby where employees, visitors, and other people were walking around heading in different directions.

"Do you want me to drive you to your company?" Shadow asked as they headed out of the building and into the bright sunlight of noon. It was another summer day with a clear sky and hot weather.

She just nodded her head in response and watched him leave to get the car that was parked in the open parking lot next to tge company building. Letting out a small sigh she turned her attention back to the dagger that she was still holding in her hand. It disappeared the very next second as per her wish right before someone called her name.

Turning around in the direction from where she just heard someone calling her name, she found none other than Shane and his girlfriend heading toward her. A warm smile appeared on her lips as she walked in their direction to meet them halfway.

Shane greeted her with a warm hug while Sers, his girlfriend, shyly waved her hand in greeting as she gave a polite bow. Emily returned the greeting to her best friend’s mate before she turned her attention to Shane and looked at him while arching her eyebrows high in question.

"So nice to finally see you." She didn’t give up on the chance to tease him as he had been constantly declining her and Rylan’s invitations to hang out together with them because he was too busy dating.

The man just gave her a sheepish smile while giving a light squeeze to his mate’s small hands that he was holding like a treasure. Turning his attention back to her, he finally disclosed tge sudden reason for his appearance outside the Alessandro Corporation’s building.

"We are here to meet Mark."

Emily only arched her eyebrows higher in surprise as she asked, "My brother? Why?" She was now really curious to know what sort of thing would have made her friend seek her brother.

"He’s the one in charge of the Golden Stay Resort, right?" Shane asked and Emily nodded her head in agreement. Golden Stay resort was the newest resort opened by the Alessandros in the southwest area on the outskirts of the city and it seemed to have become the new highly seemed tourist attraction not only because of its advanced infrastructure and unique architecture but also because of the beauty of nature that surrounded it.

"We want to book the entire resort for a week." Sera dropped the bomb that made Emily stare at both of them with her jaw hanging open.

"The entire resort? For a week?" She repeated just in case she had misheard but both the idiots nodded their heads in agreement. "Have you guys lost your mind? Don’t you know just how damn expensive that place is? Are you going to spend all your wealth just in a week?"

Shane smiled softly at her as he responded, "I know that it’s going to be really expensive but we don’t have many choices. The situation demands us to do that."

The more he spoke, the more confused Emily was becoming. "Seriously? Care to explain what sort of situation demands you to act so foolishly? Are you getting engaged? Married? Or something of that same level?" She wasn’t going to let her best friend lose all his hard-earned money just because of something stupid. So, she needed to find out exactly what was going on with him.

"Our families are meeting." Sera tried to provide some help by telling her exactly what was going on but her words only made Emily feel more confused and shocked.

"Wait! Hold on, guys. So... you are telling me that you are going to book an entire resort for a week just for your families to meet and greet. Really?"

"Emy!" Shane finally let go of Sera’s hand so that he could hold on to Emily’s shoulders as he spoke while making her look right at him. "Sera’s family is not someone normal and it’s impossible for them to meet my side of people in some open space. I initially wanted to book one of Kaiden’s resorts but we later decided to go with Golden Style. Please help us. Will you?"

How could she say no when he was asking for her help with those cute wolf eyes of his? Letting out a deep sigh, Emily nodded her head as she turned her attention to Sera and spoke, "But we need to talk first."
