Chapter 409: Quintera Region

Even the tears, wrinkles and faint scorch marks on her azure robes didn’t escape Haoran’s observant eyes. That doesn’t look like it came from monsters. The memory of thunders came to his mind instead.

"Master, your clothes..." Siri said out of worry.

"Ah, about that..." Chunhua started explaining including the thunders and fighting with three visitors. "Anyway, you don’t have to be worried. I’m not the type to allow myself to be bullied. And if ever I encounter a difficult opponent, I’ll just run away!"

She learned that from her Senior Sister and wasn’t embarrassed to say it out loud. As for gallantry or honor, what are those?

Although Siri was already aware of the existence of visitors but he was still surprised. His expression turned serious. "Can you describe their appearance and the clothes they wore?"

"They’re from the Templar of Light." Chunhua answered honestly.

Siri’s eyes hardened. He never expected that they would send people in so early.

Haoran could discern the some of the Elf’s expression and guessed it must be some kind of big organization. He etched the name on his mind.

"Master, did you tell anyone else about this?" Siri cautiously asked.

"You’re the only ones I told." Chunhua said.

"Master, let’s keep it a secret between us." Siri was relieved and eyed Haoran on the side.

Triton gave Chunhua a side long glance and asked, "Aren’t you going to tell them about having a Dao Seed and being chased by Thunder Calamity?"

Chunhua mentally replied, "Some other time." She could tell these two hadn’t slept yet.

Chunhua only received an earful from Siri, mainly reminding her to tell him about her whereabouts again.

"I understand. Don’t get angry anymore Brother Siri. I’ll be tactful next time." Chunhua grabbed the two’s wrists and gently pulled them inside.

Siri stopped his nagging while Haoran stared at the delicate hand.

Erling, the Marshal Knight, together with Winston, a Ranger, Stefan, a Tank, and Serena, a Spellcaster had been tasked to watch for the night and appointed as the patrol guards of the territory.

Winston’s ears moved and he looked ahead.

[Ranger’s Eyes Activated]

A group comprising 8 Level 15 Thunder Eagles appeared within the range of his clairvoyant skill.

"Caw Caw!"

The Thunder Eagles saw Winston’s group and glided down.

If it was the first day, he would be flustered and quickly attacked but after being a patrol guard, he merely looked at them.

When the Thunder Eagles reached the ranges of the Magic Arrow Towers, they were hit by multiples arrows and died.

The ground below was immediately full of loots.

Winston, possessing the highest agility stats among the team quickly got down and collected them.

The loots were carried back to the wall where they were piled together with the rest.

Winston’s eyes glistened at the loots.

The Territory Manager had stipulated that the loots collected during their shifts will be divided by 50-50.

Therefore, each time a group of monster would come, he was over the moon.

Winston suddenly remembered his situation before coming being summoned.

"Before coming here, I honestly thought life would be much harder than in my town and I had to live a life like a slave dancing on the tip of the knife and had to eats scraps of food but it turns out I was gravely mistaken."

Winston was a rather young man with a frizzy ginger colored hair, chestnut slits that resembled a cat, weathered skin and small thin build. He always wore a bleached green cape and an old bycocket brown hat even when the territory had provided them with complete gears.

(A/N: Bycocket- similar to Robin Hood’s hat.)

His eyes glazed upon the patches and the loose threads on his green cape and his eyes softened, being reminded of his siblings. "Not only did they give up a full set of gears and weapons, they also provided us a full meal, a comfortable bed to sleep in, and we don’t need to risk our lives on the line. I’ve never felt so lucky in my entire life."

The three listening to his chatters instinctively stared at the [Silver Back Raptor Armor- Gold Grade], [Silver Back Raptor Bracer- Gold Grade] they were wearing and the Gold-Grade weapons on their hands and inwardly agreed with Winston

Dalloram had improved the gears and added a thin sheet of star steel inside to increase its defense. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

The boots were still in progress but the tailoring shop had already taken their measurements and will be completed tomorrow. They heard that the Landowner brought back a lot of high level materials from a special realm.

As for the weapons, they were given the chance to pick from a large stash of silver to gold grade weapons. If the weapons were to be sold in their previous planet, they would at least amount to 4, 000 to 10, 000 Federal coins.

They could still remember the Manager’s words.

"Pick whatever you like. Don’t worry about Master. These weapons aren’t even important to her than a plate of food."

They didn’t know if what the Manager said was a joke or not but they were lucky to meet a benevolent Landowner.

"Do you mind me if I ask you where you’re from?" Erling asked.

"From Elpora, I was adventurer before coming here." Winston answered.

"Figures, I heard Elpora produced the best rangers in Quintera Region." Erling smiled.

"You jest. My skills aren’t that good to be praise." Winston smiled in return and scratched the back of his head from getting shy over the unexpected compliment.

Since they were going to be party from now on, it was customary to get to know each other.

Erling took initiative to briefly introduce his self, "I’m from the neighboring planet, Gamora. I was a knight serving a fiefdom before becoming a mercenary."

"No wonder, whenever I looked at Sir, you always exude an aura of a strict soldier." Winston was surprised. "But I heard it was better to be a knight than a mercenary, so why did Sir quit?"
