The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 100: Alone, Facing Hungry Wolves
Shawn Thorne tugged at the rope, his palm chafed raw from the friction.
Jasper Yale came to the window, leaning out halfway, gradually pulling up the rope.
Yelena Hughes wore nothing she could grip onto, so Jasper held onto the window with one hand while the other lifted her by the waist.
Her body was cold, like holding a block of ice. Footsteps approached from outside, and Jasper swiftly wrapped her in a blanket after placing her on the bed.
Bam—
The bedroom door immediately slammed shut.
Zachary Thorne and his stepson walked in.
Shawn stood by the window, his skin reddened by the wind, staring directly at Yelena on the bed.
Jasper uncovered her arms from the blanket, and she shivered in pain.
"Don’t move, it hurts, it hurts—"
Not only the areas bound by the hemp rope, but her shoulder blades and back were also in excruciating pain.
Jasper untied the dead knot, his fingers stinging from cuts, the blood on the hemp rope faint but enough to be shocking.
"Shawn, look at the mess you’ve made!"
Zachary Thorne was humiliated, "You—"
"Dad, please calm down." The Thorne Family’s stepson feared the old man might collapse from rage.
Jasper unwound the hemp rope circle by circle, revealing Yelena’s wrist and arm.
The skin there was severely torn, wrinkled and chafed from the enormous strain.
"Shawn," the man walked over, closing the window with one hand, "even if you want to play, don’t make such a racket. Dad has important matters to handle later. Can you manage this yourself?"
Shawn nodded, "You all leave."
Clark Thorne heard this and was quite satisfied. "Don’t be stingy with the money, just give enough."
To him, Yelena was just another woman Shawn found for entertainment, albeit a more extreme case.
Jasper looked at the clothes taken off and Shawn’s stance, as if ready to shoot, before retracting his gaze and preparing to rise.
Shawn likely wouldn’t force it; with her undressed in the same room, what good could possibly happen?
Zachary Thorne was one step out the door.
He then heard a woman’s voice, coldly addressing him. "Mr. Thorne, are you planning to leave just like that?"
Clark stepped forward, blocking Yelena’s view. "You can name your price."
Jasper was already standing up; with Yelena lacking a shoulder to lean on, she could only prop herself up with her arm. "I already had that scene recorded, including Master Thorne’s attempt to pull me up, caught crystal clear."
"Yelena Hughes!" Shawn nearly ground his teeth to dust.
Jasper instantly realized this was premeditated.
Clearly, Shawn had fallen into Yelena’s trap.
His brows slightly furrowed; just took a million from him, and it’s still not enough?
Clark didn’t take this matter too seriously; after all, such incidents weren’t uncommon. "Be straightforward, just name a price. We are very busy."
But Yelena remained unhurried, retrieving her phone from the bag on the bedside table.
She opened the album, where a pre-recorded video was stored.
Yelena played it and tossed the phone to the foot of the bed. Jasper glanced over and saw her holding her ID card.
"My name is Yelena Hughes, and my ID number is..."
She recited a series of numbers, then continued, "I am officially reporting Zachary Thorne’s son, Shawn Thorne, for using the Thorne Family’s influence to persecute others, repeatedly attempting to forcefully possess me. He’s also manipulated false debts against others; I hope the relevant authorities can thoroughly investigate Shawn Thorne and the entire Thorne Family."
Zachary Thorne’s face turned ashen.
Clark grabbed Yelena’s phone as she watched him attempt to delete the video.
"I still have backups on my computer and in my email. I know Mr. Thorne, standing in such a high position, wouldn’t want certain things spread around..." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Jasper listened as Yelena spoke calmly, maintaining her composure.
Those standing around the bed resembled a pack of hungry wolves.
She held no advantage, yet her chin was still defiantly raised.
Yelena’s face radiated confidence and determination. "Mr. Thorne, just across the bridge is the factory district you’ll be visiting today, filled with workers and reporters waiting for you. Why don’t I invite them all over?"
"Yelena Hughes, how dare you betray me!"
Shawn lifted his right leg, kneeling onto the bed, reaching to grab her.
Yelena instinctively raised her arm to block but was immediately pulled away from Shawn by Jasper, who held her close with one arm while pushing Shawn off the bed with the other.
Shawn still tried to advance, but Clark held him tightly.
"Shawn!"
He panted heavily; the room was hot, the warm air from the AC unbearable.
The effects of the drug hit Shawn.
Jasper saw Yelena’s exposed shoulder and pulled the blanket up higher. A glance at Shawn showed his single remaining piece of cloth about to burst.
Jasper’s gaze was sharp, his tone icy and cold.
"Master Thorne, control yourself; don’t make a fool of yourself here."
Shawn’s face was flushed; Yelena’s dose was potent, and he had drunk more than half—a test of endurance for anyone.
Zachary Thorne was seeing red from anger at his son’s disgraceful state.
He grasped the gravity of the situation.
This woman had jumped down just as he passed by.
All those eyes below had seen his son exposed.
Zachary Thorne couldn’t simply walk away now. He pulled over a chair and sat down.
Shawn’s eyes couldn’t see anyone else, only Yelena’s captivating face filled his vision.
He desired her, regardless of who was present.
He wished he could absorb her entirely.
Shawn violently broke free, lunging to grab the blanket beneath which lay Yelena’s legs.
He clutched her ankle tightly, "Today, I will have you! I’ll make you cry, make you scream—"
Yelena seemed overwhelmed with terror, her legs kicking relentlessly, "Let go, let go of me!"
The tension she held snapped suddenly.
From the moment she stepped into this room, every move had been calculated.
But she feared something would go wrong, that the rope would snap when she jumped, leading to her death here.
In hindsight, the fear gripped her even more intensely.
Yelena tried to move aside; the only one beside her was Jasper.
Without thinking, she burrowed into his embrace, her tiny head nuzzling against his chest, desperate to vanish within him, away from danger.
Shawn’s hand reached out, nearly touching Yelena’s face.
Jasper raised a cold gaze, seized Shawn’s fingers, and forcibly twisted them upwards.
A single finger snapped just like that.
