The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 91: She Is the Purest Woman
Yelena Hughes glanced at the message, it was from Jasper Yale.
She clicked on the little three dots at the top right corner, performed a series of actions, and blocked him.
Jasper Yale hadn’t received a reply from Yelena Hughes the entire way home, he assumed she had fallen asleep.
Upon returning to The Summit Gardens, Jasper Yale noticed Nancy Alden pushing a wheelchair towards him as he entered the house.
"Is the rain outside heavy?"
"Yes," the man replied, as he changed into slippers, with a hint of wetness still on him, "It’s been raining these past few days."
As Jasper Yale walked past Nancy Alden, she lightly tugged his hand, "Are you planning to keep ignoring me?"
His hands were slightly cold, having held an umbrella earlier; Jasper Yale looked down to meet Nancy Alden’s gaze, "I’m not ignoring you. It’s late, get some rest."
"Jasper Yale, I’ve called you."
Nancy Alden couldn’t hold it in any longer, some things, if left unsaid, were suffocating.
"When?" Jasper Yale asked knowingly, as he still had her missed call on his phone.
Thinking about the sweet moans on the phone, and the woman named Candy, Nancy’s heart truly ached. "You answered, but you didn’t speak, did another woman answer it?"
Jasper Yale tried to lift her upstairs, "Stop imagining things, there’s no other woman."
Does he now think that dismissing her is just a waste of time?
Nancy Alden tightly held onto his fingers, refusing to let go, handing her phone over for him to see, "This two-minute call log, it couldn’t be fake, right?"
Jasper Yale glanced at it and took out his phone from his pocket.
That record had been deleted by Yelena Hughes.
At that time, he should have been at The Sovereign Club, and Yelena Hughes was the only one with him.
"Did I say anything on the phone?"
Nancy Alden, feeling wronged, had a nasal tone she couldn’t hide, "There was a woman’s voice. I know what you were doing, Jasper Yale... Do you not like me in my current state?"
"But don’t look for... that kind of person, I can’t handle it."
"What kind of person?"
"I heard it all, that woman called herself Candy, and there was a lot of water sound on the phone, you were..."
Did he really grab a woman, and in a public area, couldn’t control himself?
Jasper Yale suddenly laughed, without any anger in his face, but his eyes crinkled in the corners.
"You’re laughing?"
Suddenly, he understood why Yelena Hughes had thrown herself at him in the hallway.
Seeing Nancy Alden’s heartbroken and pained look, he could imagine that Yelena Hughes must have felt quite pleased doing this at the time.
"When I entered the restroom, I did hear someone next door having quite a time. I might have accidentally answered your call."
But Nancy Alden didn’t quite believe this.
"Don’t no matter where you are, you always book a private room? Don’t private rooms have independent restrooms?"
Jasper Yale bent down, his collarbone visible from his unbuttoned shirt, and with that crowd-pleasing face, Nancy Alden’s heart rate increased.
"Nancy, I couldn’t possibly mess around with someone in a restroom, I can’t stand that kind of environment and smell."
At this point, Nancy Alden couldn’t pursue the matter any further.
Whether or not to believe it, Jasper Yale’s explanation ended here.
He lifted her from the wheelchair and headed upstairs, though his mind lingered on how Yelena Hughes, having drunk a bit too much, placed all the blame on him.
The next day.
As the car drove into The Sovereign Club, Jasper Yale heard Hailey Jenkins say, "Miss Hughes’ mother."
He looked outside; the rain was still falling, a blurry image reflected on the car window glass.
As Jasper Yale got out of the car, a black umbrella covered his head, with Hailey Jenkins closing the door, only to see the man heading straight towards Lindsay Walsh.
Lindsay Walsh had stopped taking orders, standing beside her electric scooter in a raincoat, waiting.
A slender figure appeared in her eyes as she pushed up the visor of her helmet.
Jasper Yale spoke first, "Why do you still let her come to this kind of place?"
Lindsay Walsh’s face fell but said nothing.
"I thought you would have broken her limbs, so she couldn’t even crawl to The Sovereign Club."
The rain soaked into Lindsay Walsh’s eyes, and her eyelids kept twitching, "What do you know?"
Jasper Yale’s gaze was also rather cold, did he get convinced by Yelena Hughes? Thinking money comes fast here, so willingly watching his daughter jump into the fire pit, without doing anything?
"If you go in now, it’s still in time to see how she’s..."
Serving men.
He didn’t finish those last words, and Lindsay Walsh didn’t give him a chance to say.
"She’s my daughter, I know her best, I don’t need others to teach me what to do."
The whistling wind mixed with the clattering rain made this mother’s lips turn bluish. Waiting outside in this weather was truly freezing.
"You know her, but is the money she earns clean?"
Lindsay Walsh closed her eyes, seemingly shedding tears, hot tears mixed with the cold rain.
"Our family relies on Yelena to hold up; she’s bearing the responsibility of a pillar with her own shoulders. Whether you say she’s fallen or look down on her. But my daughter, if she didn’t have compelling reasons, she would never have come to this place."
Listening to these words, Jasper Yale felt the pride in her tone mixed with the taste of biting down on blood-soaked teeth.
"The medicine was given to her, enough. What could her reasons be? Buying a house?"
"A house?" Lindsay Walsh shook her head, "I’ve already told you it’s something you won’t understand. Where we live now is already very good. Mr. Yale, I know you’re wealthy, noble, you’d never understand the sense of helplessness after offending someone and not being able to resist."
"My daughter is still young, but what hasn’t she experienced?"
"After her father went missing, we faced retaliation. Anne had a heart attack, I broke my leg and couldn’t move, Yelena was splashed with dog’s blood out, and our house was attacked in the middle of the night."
"She managed everything by her own, carried through it. Now, things are better; Anne is saved, her job is stable, and you tell me she would go to this kind of place for money. Would I believe it? Would I?"
Lindsay Walsh covered her face in cries, her words coming through her fingers, mournful and desolate.
Her Yelena has encountered some serious issues, difficult matters, she couldn’t share with her.
"It’s my fault as a mother, if you want to look down on her, that’s your business. But in my eyes, she’s the best daughter, the cleanest child."
These words, every single one of them, were deeply moving.
Jasper Yale felt like a thorn was stuck in his heart, couldn’t be pulled out. Any movement caused a sharp pain.
Upon entering The Sovereign Club, just as he headed upstairs, he ran into Chester.
"Oh, even the heavy rain didn’t stop you from coming in today, Young Master Yale."
"Where’s Yelena Hughes?"
Chester thought he really did choose the time, "Mimi has another client tonight."
"Call her over."
"Young Master, that’s not possible, I can’t explain it to others."
Jasper Yale grew impatient with her nonsense, "Where is she?"
"Second floor, Suite 202."
When Jasper Yale walked into the suite, he saw Yelena Hughes drinking, with a man’s hand pressing the glass against her, not caring whether she swallowed.
"Drink, faster, your throat is way too small..."
Jasper Yale’s expression was stern and cold; his towering figure stopped before the two, "Let me see, how big your throat is."
The man withdrew his hand, staring directly and dazedly at Jasper Yale.
Isn’t that Young Master Yale? This character is top-notch in Southcross City.
Yelena Hughes watched as Jasper Yale pushed the man, making him lean back; just as he opened his mouth, a glass bottle was shoved in.
Jasper Yale pressed his palm, causing the drink to pour down his throat.
Urgent and fast.
Yelena Hughes feared drinking it like this would be life-threatening.
She reached out to grab the bottle, but Jasper Yale lifted her off the sofa, "You’d better worry about yourself."
"What’s wrong with me?"
Was it, that the matter of the call had been exposed?
"Go."
Yelena Hughes tried to dodge, "I won’t go."
Jasper Yale wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into his embrace, forcibly taking her away.
