The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 92: Pulling Her Out of the Fire Pit
He only let go after bringing her into his room.
Yelena Hughes thought he was going to settle accounts with her, "Young Master, the tip from the guest, I haven’t collected it yet."
"How much, I’ll give it to you."
Jasper Yale walked directly to the sofa, took off his coat and tossed it aside. His pure white shirt tucked into his suit pants, Jasper unbuttoned his cuffs and rolled up his sleeves a bit.
"A lot of money." Yelena Hughes added.
"Hmm, no matter how much it is, I’ll give it to you."
Yelena Hughes observed Jasper Yale’s expression, it didn’t seem like he came for that call.
Jasper Yale bent down and sat on the sofa, "Your mom is here."
"What?" Her voice involuntarily tensed.
"She’s waiting for you outside."
Yelena Hughes’ breathing became heavy, wanting to rush out.
"Stop."
She had already reached the doorway, Jasper Yale stared closely at her back, "What can you still say when you see her? Or is there any other explanation, tell me, I’d like to hear it too."
Yelena Hughes halted her hand, this was still during work hours.
Jasper Yale pulled out a cigarette, Lindsay Walsh’s words standing in the storm more like a cry for Yelena Hughes.
"You came here to buy a house?"
Even if Yelena Hughes went out, she didn’t know how to face her mother.
She pushed the door of the room closed, "Young Master, I came to The Sovereign Club because I lacked money."
"How much?"
"A lot."
Yelena Hughes heard a click, the smell of smoke quickly wafted into her nostrils.
She could even hear the sound of tobacco burning.
"No matter how much you want, I’ll give it to you." Jasper Yale noted she stood far away, "Come over."
Yelena Hughes’ face froze, her skin tightened slightly, "Isn’t Young Master a bit too generous? Aren’t you afraid I’ll ask for a few billion?"
"That’s fine too, I’m just waiting for you to ask."
Jasper Yale’s long legs crossed, his lean upper body reclined into the sofa, fingers holding a cigarette, the man looked lazy, yet his eyes were particularly sharp.
"I’d like a million."
"No problem."
Yelena Hughes couldn’t quite comprehend Jasper Yale’s actions, what did he mean by this? "Don’t you think I’m... not worth it?"
These words were spoken by him personally.
Jasper Yale placed the cigarette to his mouth, took a puff; his lips parted, smoke lightly veiling half his face. "Do you think I wouldn’t ask anything in return?"
"You would."
Otherwise, is he a reincarnated Buddha?
"Then guess, what kind of request?"
Yelena Hughes looked at Young Master Yale’s squinted eyes; she had a sense, "I won’t sleep with you, I’d rather serve drinks here."
"What’s wrong with sleeping with me? Do you feel uncomfortable?"
Yelena Hughes’ collarbone was slender, making her appear quite frail. "I’m not good at it, don’t want to take advantage of you."
Jasper Yale burst into laughter, rare for him to laugh so heartily, indeed amused by Yelena Hughes.
"The skill is average, but the pleasure is nice, not taking advantage of me."
Jasper Yale said, standing up to stub out the cigarette, reaching for the coat to flip out a check and pen from inside.
Yelena Hughes watched his hand lower, seeming like he genuinely intended to give her money. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
She hurried over to press down on the man’s wrist, "Young Master, I don’t agree with your condition."
"I have no condition."
Yelena Hughes didn’t believe, "But this isn’t a small amount."
"To me, this isn’t money."
"..." Are wealthy people so crazy?
Yelena Hughes glanced at the check, genuinely tempted, she wasn’t some noble saint, ideals can’t be eaten.
As long as she settles the debt, she’ll be free.
Jasper Yale saw her eyes were very complicated, "Since you came here for quick money, now I’m giving it to you, what’s your hesitation?"
Yelena Hughes’ innocence, reputation, in here trampled worthless, she slowly loosened her grip.
"Then I don’t need a million, I want fifty grand."
"Alright."
Jasper Yale’s handwriting was strong and forceful, just a few strokes could pull Yelena Hughes from the fire pit.
The things she chased after were merely solved with a wave of his hand.
This is the allure of money, power.
Jasper Yale handed her the check, Yelena Hughes didn’t even dare take it. "Young Master, treat this as a loan, I’ll write you a promissory note."
The man clicked the pen cap back, "No need for a note, if you want to repay, just repay slowly."
She took it in hand, staring at the numbers in a daze.
Yelena Hughes didn’t dare be too happy, it was all too easy, unsettled within.
She cautiously folded the check, then stuffed it into her pocket. "Young Master, would you like a drink? Or want to see a dance? Or, I could play cards with you."
After taking the money, the service improved greatly.
Yelena Hughes stood beside Jasper Yale, his gaze glanced over, her legs gleaming white.
Jasper Yale just liked her legs, both white and straight, strong too.
He gave it a tap, palm rested there unmoving, Yelena Hughes’ legs tensed, Jasper Yale’s glance shifted from her front to her face.
"With this money, do you still need to come to The Sovereign Club?"
Yelena Hughes’ heart basked in joy, "From tomorrow, Young Master won’t see me here anymore, but I’ll earnestly work to repay you."
Outside, the rain was likely still pouring, considering Jasper Yale’s words made worry inevitable.
Unsure if her mom found somewhere to take shelter from the rain, late at night so cold, why did she come here?
Jasper Yale picked up his coat and stood, seeing Yelena Hughes still in a daze, "Is the money not enough? Reluctant to leave this place?"
"I... can I leave now?"
"Yes, I am leaving, your work ends today."
Yelena Hughes felt tonight was like a dream, a beautiful one she hadn’t had in a while.
"Thank you, Young Master."
Her face once again had vitality, quickly leaving.
Yelena Hughes returned to the lounge, inside was empty, the ladies were serving in the rooms and she hurriedly changed clothes.
She would likely need to come again tomorrow, arrange a meeting with Master Thorne, and retrieve Madeline Forest’s promissory note.
Upon leaving The Sovereign Club, she saw Jasper Yale hadn’t left yet, standing at the doorway.
Yelena Hughes immediately spotted Lindsay Walsh, huddled by the door, peering inside.
"Mom!"
She jogged over, popping open the umbrella, "Why did you come over?"
"It’s so late, I worried you wouldn’t get a cab, and there’re lots of bad people outside." Lindsay Walsh glanced at her clothes, "Is your shift over?"
"Yes."
"Then let’s hurry home."
Lindsay Walsh handed a newly bought raincoat to Yelena Hughes, she gleefully put it on, the scooter was covered in rain, Yelena Hughes didn’t mind, casually wiped it with a sleeve, before getting on.
"Are you seated safely?"
"Yes." Yelena Hughes wrapped her arms around Lindsay Walsh’s waist.
She turned to see Jasper Yale also getting into his car, his vehicle closely trailing behind them.
Hailey Jenkins glanced at the rear-seated Jasper Yale, "Young Master, Miss Hughes left quite early today."
"Yes."
The man responded emotionlessly, "If she ever returns to The Sovereign Club again, then something’s truly amiss."
