The Fallen Hero Reincarnates as the Demon King's Son-Chapter 10 - 9 - 18th Birthday
Chapter 10 - 9 - 18th Birthday
"Today is the day, Caliste. Are you excited?" Aleia said with a big smile on her face as she looked at her beautiful little brother.
Caliste was absolutely looking dapper. He had on a very classy long-sleeve t-shirt that highlighted the muscles he had gained over the years.
Ever since the Demon King had gotten rid of his curse eight years ago, things had been going extremely well for Caliste. His body was no longer slowing him down; he had grown at a rate that no one had ever expected.
Today was his 18th birthday, signaling his first step into adulthood. Well, second if you consider his past life.
However, today was the day he would finally be old enough to make his own decisions.
"Hmm... kind of. It's just that I'm going to miss you a lot, sis."
Aleia pouted as her little brother uttered those words, knowing that it would only be temporary.
"Don't worry, little brother. If you ever need me, I'll come help you at any time."
Caliste nodded slowly, knowing that very well.
Ever since that annoying day when the Demon King had visited them and completely humiliated Ava in front of him, Caliste had focused on a single goal: to become as powerful as possible and as fast as possible.
"And we still have your birthday to celebrate, little brother! Smile a little; this is only the beginning!"
Caliste smirked, as he usually knew how his birthdays went. He would be spending the day with both his mother and sister, who would be as nice as possible to him.
"Right... about that, where's Mom? Shouldn't she already be here?"
"O-Over here! Sorry, I-I had a bit of trouble getting ready!" she said as she almost fell while putting on her high heels.
When she entered the throne room, Caliste was honestly stunned.
He had never really seen his mother dressed as beautifully as possible, wearing extremely flattering clothes. However, today, she had truly gone all out.
She was wearing a long black dress that fit her perfectly. Her breasts were accentuated, and her plump figure was highlighted. It was the most perfect dress that Caliste had ever seen, and the person wearing it was even better.
Caliste just smiled at Ava as she walked in their direction.
"Y-You look amazing!" he said in shock.
Ava blushed a little as she pinched both his cheeks. "What about you, little charmer! You're finally looking like a proper gentleman!"
Caliste laughed at his mother's words, and shortly after, they were off. However, that confused Caliste a little. All he had been told was to dress nicely. He hadn't been given any details about where his birthday would be taking place.
For some reason, they seemed to be heading for the castle's exit.
"Why are we leaving? Aren't we going to eat inside like always?" Caliste asked with a slight frown, unsure of what was going through his sister and mother's minds.
His mother just smiled at him. "You'll see. We decided to do things a little differently since this is your 18th birthday and probably the last day we will be able to spend as much time as possible with you!"
Caliste wasn't sure what to think.
However, it seemed that his birthday would be taking place outside of the Demon King's Castle.
If it was, then it might be his first time outside this place. Ever since he had been reborn, he had not once been allowed to leave the castle. His mother had forbidden it, and all the maids were in on it.
That's why, ever since then, all Caliste had been able to do was look from above toward the distant cities.
As far as he could see, things seemed to be peaceful. But he knew that things were bound to be a lot different once he actually lived in one of those cities.
The dream life he had been living would come to an end.
After all, tomorrow was the day he would be going to the biggest academy the world had ever seen.

[The Demonic Academy]
Contrary to its name, it welcomed all races without any discrimination and it was the best academy the world had, the academy every student aimed to join.
As the son of the Demon King, Caliste had been granted entry without taking an entrance test. However, each year, bloody battles between the world's most talented 18-year-olds would take place to determine who would enter the academy.
"Are we really going down?" Caliste asked as they reached the edge of the floating island, where a floating boat was waiting for them.
His mother just smiled and said, "Hop in!"
Then, the floating boat took off as it began to slowly descend toward a lake, landing right in the middle of it.
It was the marina. They quickly found their way to the dock where the three of them got off.
Immediately, multiple people came running in their direction.
"We are pleased to have your visit; please follow us! A limousine is waiting for you."
The man never dared to look in their eyes, always keeping his head down, showing absolute respect before them.
Caliste frowned as he saw this behavior that was very different from his time.
'It seems like the demons are worshiped now... Well, it makes sense. I did lose in the end, letting them win.'
Still, he found it strange how the human who had welcomed them looked so weak and pathetic, showing absolute inferiority.
Nevertheless, Caliste didn't make any comments as he followed the man toward the limousine that had indeed been waiting for them.
The man opened the door for each of them, and all three entered the limousine with Caliste in the middle of Aleia and Ava, who were practically squeezing him because of how close they were.
'Ugh... if they continue to act this way, it'll become a little awkward,' Caliste thought as he felt himself becoming increasingly aware of the physical contact. 'Ever since the Demon King cured me, this has been quite the problem... let's hope none of them notice it.'
