Chapter 847: Chapter 847 The Benefits of Cash Ability

Qin Wenjun now felt like she wanted to split a day into a year, and by the time Li Qing arrived at the Mouse Viewpoint after breakfast, three excavators were building a road with several large trucks behind them hauling sand and gravel, adding to the road as they went along.

With the budget in place, this woman seemed to really get bold with the funds—at this moment, she had already spent tens of thousands.

And the construction at Mouse Viewpoint was happening simultaneously.

A full thirty or forty men, wearing hard hats, were leveling the ground in the woods.

Neat piles of wood, resembling little mountains, were stacked on the side while workers used chainsaws to cut them into roughly equal sizes.

Li Qing looked at the scene before him and felt a bit stunned.

Had he only settled some family issues at the Gao family and had breakfast, while Qin Wenjun had already progressed to this extent?

How had she managed to secure so many resources and manpower so quickly?

At the same time, Li Qing suddenly thought of something that baffled him. Why hadn’t he thought to use his "cash ability" when he was building his house?

If he had spent the money properly, wouldn’t his house have been completed in less than half a month?

It was habit born out of poverty; he was holding tens of millions and yet hadn’t thought about working on multiple tasks at the same time.

Wearing a hard hat and work clothes, dressing herself up like a man, Qin Wenjun spotted Li Qing from a distance and walked over with long strides. Although her attire was masculine, the baggy coveralls still couldn’t hide her delicate figure, nor the curves that were meant to be shown.

Especially her round buttocks which made the work pants seem almost stylish.

"Qingzi, what do you think? Not bad, huh?" Qin Wenjun asked with a smile brimming across her face.

Li Qing responded with a wry smile, "Aren’t you rushing things a little too much?"

"Not rushing," Qin Wenjun laughed, "I’m just doing some preliminary infrastructure work, like building a few simple wooden huts, adding heating facilities, and then opening up a road. The rest will involve the whole community."

"What do you mean by involving the whole community? Are you planning to recruit villagers and visitors to build your houses for you?" Li Qing was a bit surprised.

Qin Wenjun nodded vigorously, "Doesn’t that sound interesting? A haunted house project with full participation. We’ll provide the materials and even the workers, then let the players use their creativity to run wild in our vast wilderness. We can pay them the basic design fee and later, when we get enough popularity, we can hold a vote to select several of the most popular designs and award prizes."

"This is an idea I came up with overnight. Although it’s a small change, it can greatly shorten our construction period and also promote very close interaction between our village and the players. Anyway, I think if I were a visitor, I’d definitely be interested in this project. There’s a design fee, and you get to watch others get pranked by what you designed. Just thinking about it is thrilling."

"The idea does sound pretty good," Li Qing murmured, "But what baffles me is how you could think of this stuff overnight, considering we had some... other matters last night, right?"

Qin Wenjun cocked her head and giggled, "Right, I thought of it while you were... handling me. If all of us can get joy and excitement from developing the ’sister-in-law’ and Sister Yan, then why can’t we apply such an activity to our scenic area?"

Li Qing: ...

He stared at Qin Wenjun, dumbfounded, and gave a thumbs up. "You’re really something, aren’t you?"

"I think so too," said Qin Wenjun with a giggle. "If we were to build it ourselves, we’d definitely be in a bit of a rush, and I’m afraid we wouldn’t be able to keep up with the current buzz in our village. But this way it’s much easier, ah. A few wooden huts, as long as I’m willing to splash the cash, can be sorted out in just a few days."

"At the same time, we can also start building the road and acquiring the amusement facilities, all without delaying each other. I’ve roughly estimated the overall construction period to be about ten days. For the camping cabins in Burning Man Valley, I went straight for a custom order. They’ve promised me a completion time of fifteen days including infrastructure. If they don’t finish on time, they pay compensation, and they also guarantee the quality."

Li Qing chuckled, "I can tell, you’re only concerned about the progress now, not the cost, right?"

"But there’s one thing people care about these days—no one dares to move into a house that’s just been built."

"What’s there to worry about with wooden huts?" Qin Wenjun asked. "The insulation is on the outside, and the inside is just pure wood with a layer of varnish. And that varnish, it’s been prepped by the factory ages ago; it’s been airing out for who knows how long."

"All they have to do when they bring the materials to our village is like putting up a metal shed—harden the ground and then assemble it."

Li Qing nodded, "That does sound fairly straightforward. You’re young and talented, I have faith in you. So get to work, I as a shareholder have no issues at all now!"

"But I have a problem!" Qin Wenjun said seriously.

"What’s the problem?" asked Li Qing.

"You wouldn’t still be playing the Hands-off Manager, now would you? That seems a bit inappropriate, young master," said Qin Wenjun. "Even if you wanted to be a Hands-off Manager, couldn’t you at least arrange a few more people for me? We need to divide up the work."

"You haven’t told them?" asked Li Qing in surprise.

"I did, I told them this morning when I left," Qin Wenjun replied. "But Sister-in-law and the others said that they need to hear it from you. You’re the head of the family. For such a big issue, it doesn’t seem right for us to just decide on our own."

"Whether I say it or not doesn’t really matter," Li Qing said. "Well, we’ll discuss it tonight when I get back."

"Plus, after you set this up, we’ll need to hire some people with service experience. There aren’t many we can use from the village because most of them don’t have the mindset for serving people, and that won’t do."

"Exactly, it’s a big deal, young master. You should stop being busy peeping over the wall and watching other people’s excitement," Qin Wenjun teased.

Li Qing couldn’t help but laugh, "You’re so busy and yet, you still have the leisure to know where I’ve been?"

"As if I want to! I’m not about to spend all day tracking your whereabouts," Qin Wenjun pouted. "I was consulting with Sister-in-law and incidentally asked about it; she was the one who told me voluntarily."

"Let me think about this. We’ll talk it over in detail tonight," Li Qing said.

"Okay, then you go back to peeping over walls and enjoy the show, no more issues here," Qin Wenjun raised her eyebrows and smirked. "When the responsible factory for the camping site arrives, please help me keep an eye on them. I might be too busy then. From what they say, the first batch of workers should be arriving this afternoon."

Li Qing nodded and couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe internally; when you don’t care about the cost and are willing to spend money, things are indeed much easier.

No one beats this efficiency.
