The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 50: Alchemy Genius?
Ye Qing Lei realized that if she allowed Ye Ming to continue to stall, his gibberish blabbering nonsense would delay her intention.
Thus, she ultimately decided to vanish from the space and force Ye Ming to make his decision.
To come out faster or stall till he gives up. Either way, time was suspended in this space, so she wouldn’t be worried about him losing valuable time.
Meanwhile, Ye Ming still held onto a glimmer of hope that his Mother was present and released him.
Unfortunately, after 5 minutes, there was still zero sound. Without any entertainment activity, these 5 minutes were like hell—the same type you see in school when the bell should have rang in less than 3 minutes but time seemed to have paused.
’Ugh, the talk no jutsu failed.’ He sighed softly. Talk no jutsu was just a slang term made by people about talking their way to victory.
It usually works in manga, novels, and drama, but in his case, he failed miserably. Without a target to physically use the talk no jutsu on, the skill would be a fail no matter what.
Time quickly passed by, and Ye Ming already lost count of the time. He was not some genius who could keep track of the time.
Additionally, he was too busy to think of an excuse. Many possible excuses came up in his mind in hopes of escaping. Alas, Ye Qing Lei seemed to have created the perfect learning environment.
Not only did he feel zero hunger, but he also didn’t even feel the need to use the toilet.
Occasionally, there were times when he was a bit thirsty. Yet all of a sudden, he became hydrated in the next instance. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
He felt like a simulator character who constantly had his needs fulfilled in a modded or cheated version.
Finally, Ye Ming accepted the fact that his Mother was resolute in her decision. And he had no intention of challenging her stubbornness any further.
She was capable of cultivating in seclusion for many years but he had an attention span of a goldfish. Unless he was immersed in a certain topic, he would lose focus and become bored.
’Ugh, please let the alchemy be interesting and not some boring cauldron refining.’ He scratched his head and closed his eyes, browsing through his sea of memories.
Upon entering them, he witnessed numerous orbs that displayed many incidents. It was like watching a set of old movies and Ye Ming honestly felt uncomfortable to glance at them for long.
He shook his head and hurriedly tried to find the secret memories that were injected by Ye Qing Lei.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long. He soon spotted a treasure chest-like box in an illuminated spot. It was as if they wanted to tell him that they were here.
After all, Ye Qing Lei’s face was also depicted in a large hologram.
Unless one was a blind person, then there was no way they could have missed it.
Filled with disbelief, Ye Ming casually drifted over there and opened the treasure chest. The chest wasn’t even locked, to begin with.
A few seconds later, the orb contained in the chest immediately rushed toward him.
Startled, Ye Ming tried to scoot over to dodge it, but to no avail. Regardless of his free will, memories from the orb started to be injected into him.
"ARGH!" He screamed aloud.
But a moment later, he calmed down.
"Huh, it didn’t hurt?" He was confused and dumbfounded by the process. Usually, in this particular scene, he would have been in a ton of pain to receive an abundant amount of memories.
Yet not only was there zero pain, he didn’t even feel any discomfort whatsoever.
The process was so relaxing and smooth. Despite this, he became exposed to numerous alchemy knowledge that could flood an entire world—numerous worlds.
Even if he didn’t want to know about it, he couldn’t stop the information from flowing into his brain.
The feeling was akin to someone asking you what was one plus one.
One could feign ignorance and give the wrong answer. Or even a joking one such as adding a man and woman equals three because of a baby.
But everyone knew one plus one equals two.
Besides the gains in understanding of herbology and many ingredients as part of his newfound knowledge. Ye Ming was also enlightened by the concoction process.
To his astonishment, Ye Qing Lei could easily concoct a pill—a final-level grade in a matter of seconds.
"Hah, so you can just crush all the ingredients with your palm and form a pill. Oh dear, I was still an ignorant person." It was almost beyond laughable that Ye Ming held the misconception that one could only concoct a pill through an alchemy cauldron.
Who needs equipment when you can just crush and form a pill?
The endgame level of an alchemist was truly mind-boggling and unbelievable.
"Wait, does that mean I’m an alchemy genius?" Ye Ming suddenly rubbed his chin. Having received all the knowledge and experience that Ye Qing Lei went through, he could be considered the same as her, albeit somewhat inferior.
After all, Ye Ming knew he would never be able to surpass or defeat Ye Qing Lei.
A son could never surpass or defeat their mother no matter what.
This was a universal fact!
Now that he absorbed everything in a relaxing manner, Ye Ming opened his eyes and realized it wasn’t just his memory expanding. Even his physical body had undergone some heavy changes.
’Endgame level cultivation realm is really scary.’ Ye Ming could no longer fathom the possibility that they could do.
Maybe everything that people thought was impossible was actually possible for endgame-level cultivators. The only thing stopping them was their willingness to commit to it.
He thought about that because his nose instantly sniffed out the fragrance of the herbs that were scattered across the ground.
He could easily identify them in an instant. And no, he didn’t even try to ponder over it before identifying them. The identification was like second nature to him—just like how one breathes naturally without needing to focus on it.
