The Heavenly Dao System-Chapter 80: Bixiao Restaurant
How many times have a reader become frustrated by these so-called low profile or go low key? 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
They said they wanted to be low-key, but then proceeded to make a high-key movement that gained everyone’s attention?
If you’re one of them, then congratulations. Ye Ming was also equally an author and reader who has been frustrated by that kind of scene.
Therefore, when he mentioned about how to proceed with the lower world, he had long been determined to go high-key.
Why should he go low profile when he has the strength?
Moreover, he wasn’t like those dense protagonists who were strong but were ignorant of their strength despite many other so-called powerful cultivators flattering them with senior this and senior that.
He was done with those nonsensical crap! He was going to act in accordance with his status!
Hence, the current situation led to Ye Ming nearly causing a wave of shock and bafflement at the entrance of Fushang Territory.
"D-Dao Lord? Young man, are you sure you’re not drunk in some wine?" The cultivator in charge stared at Ye Ming with a look of amusement. Clearly, he wasn’t angry but rather amused by the joke.
"Since you took the time to address me without hostility, I shall pardon your offense." Ye Ming yawned and didn’t bother with him any further. Instead, he proceeded to walk ahead.
The cultivator in charge noticed his action but kept his hands still. ’A drunk man indeed. Does he think he can just enter the city without the token?’
The Fushang Territory appeared to be open on all sides, but anyone with some form of knowledge would know it was set with numerous formations.
The formations conducted by the Soul Transformation Realm cultivators had the power that could be on par with the Void Refinement Realm.
And to those who remained unaware or needed some refreshed knowledge, the Tianwu World, or all mortal worlds had 7 cultivation rank.
Starting from the lowest to the highest: Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Core Formation, Nascent Soul, Spirit Severing, Soul Transformation, and Void Refinement Realm.
Naturally, if anyone claimed to be an expert in such settings, then one would know they were also categorized into different levels in the realm, followed by the annoying early stages to peak stages, etc.
Either way, the general gist was that for anyone to break into the city, they would need to have the power of a Void Refinement Realm which nobody had been able to achieve for centuries.
Yet in front of their very eyes, a mere Qi Refinement Realm wanted to enter without authorization?
Who would stop such a foolish action?
"Oh boy, I bet he’s going to be knocked back at least 50 meters."
"Knock back? More like deader than dead. The previous time, a Demonic Nascent Soul Realm cultivator wanted to sneak in to rob was killed immediately from the backlash of the formation."
"Hah, I still remembered there was a Spirit Severing Realm who was quite arrogant in its defense. He was still bedridden and once recovered, he had to submit to the city to serve as a guard for 20 years as punishment."
As the many cultivators in line discussed about those who had attempted to intrude in the past, their eyes watched with fervor. They wanted to see Ye Ming get pulverized into dust.
After all, waiting in line was extremely boring, so to have some excitement now wasn’t bad.
From afar, Ling Qiwei’s mouth curled upward as she said in disdain, "Junior Sister, it seems like your savior is going to turn into nothingness soon."
"I supposed that should be the norm," Tao Wang calmly said. Despite saying this, she had a strong feeling that whatever the others deduced, it would come out as wrong.
Who told her to have witnessed a Red Demon Tiger being so submissive and fearful of Ye Ming?
Beasts might be fearful of strong cultivators, but unless it was a bloodline suppression, they would generally not be submissive.
To make them submissive, they either had to nurture them from young or had a beast taming spells.
The stronger the beast, the harder it was to use the latter method. As for nurturing them from young, it was a pipe dream to even get an egg from a powerful beast unless they were beyond lucky.
Many began to make their own speculations, but Ye Ming remained nonchalant about it as he easily passed through the formation.
Many eyes widened so big that it felt like they wanted to become a target practice for some shooting.
The most astonished one was naturally the cultivator in charge.
"Are my eyes playing a joke?" The cultivator in charge rubbed his eyes repeatedly. "No, it can’t be that my senses turned into illusion after getting friend zoned by my Senior Sister, right?"
He was too startled to even realize the significance of the situation as Ye Ming continued to walk ahead.
"Hmm, the interior looks no different than the marketplace of mortals." Ye Ming muttered as he glanced around. He didn’t even bother to wait for Tao Wang, who had already displeased him somewhat.
Not to mention, the information she got was more or less the same thing he already knew.
So what was the point in waiting for her?
The commotion he caused was only visible to the outside entrance. After all, there was no fluctuation whatsoever in the formation.
With Ye Ming in complete control of this world, formation or whatnot was irrelevant to him.
He wasn’t an existence bound by laws or the Heavenly Dao. Instead, he was an existence that was many times above it.
"Should I head to a restaurant and eavesdrop on information?" He rubbed his chin softly and pondered. If anyone ever sought the latest information, the restaurant would always be the number 1 choice.
After all, the atmosphere was equivalent to a Dim Sum restaurant where much gossip took place.
To those who don’t know, Dim sum is a traditional Chinese meal consisting of small plates of various dishes, often steamed or fried, and typically served with tea.
As Ye Ming wandered around the street, he saw many cultivators selling their hard-earned items found in various sources.
Along the way, Ye Ming noticed many gazes on him. Clearly, they were taken aback as to why a Qi Refinement Realm cultivator was here.
The lowest realm here was at least Core Formation. After all, that was the bare minimum to pass through the Fushang Forest.
Nevertheless, it was just curiosity as they knew some could conceal one’s cultivation.
Sometime later, Ye Ming found a bustling restaurant and entered.
The female receptionist in the restaurant was about to greet him and asked how many people, only to be stunned by the cultivation realm.
Nevertheless, it was for a brief moment as she quickly asked, "Hello, welcome to Bixiao Restaurant. Do you have any reservations?"
"No reservation. One person, get me a good view in the upstairs area." Ye Ming said and threw in a Spirit Stone.
Initially, the female receptionist was about to believe it was a lunatic, but when her eyes landed on the Spirit Stone. She became stunned on the spot. After all, the Spirit Stone was the highest grade with full purity, completely devoid of any impurities.
To be honest, Ye Ming didn’t want to pay that much, but that was the lowest currency in his spatial ring.
As if his Mother would collect some low grade spirit stone for him to stash.
Realizing it was a wealthy customer, the female receptionist’s expression changed.
"Right away, Sir Cultivator." She beamed in joy and introduced herself while leading him to the upper floor. "I’m called Li Hua and may I ask if you want to be registered as a VIP customer?"
Normally, becoming a VIP customer requires many steps, but the spirit stone is just too much.
Think of it as someone casually dropping 100,000 dollars in a small diner restaurant and requesting a table.
One could imagine the astonishment that the employee would have.
"A VIP customer huh?" Ye Ming pondered for a while before shrugging. "Do whatever you want."
"Great, anyone who could access the upper floors are all influential people. May I know how to address you to put in the record?" Li Hua clasped her hands and explained the general gist.
She specifically emphasized that not just anyone could access the upper floor unless they were wealthy or had a great background. Of course, there was also another requisite which was strength.
With enough strength, you will always be held in high regard no matter where you are.
"You may address me as the Dao Lord." Ye Ming said and decided to continue to use this alias. It was kind of cringe, but one couldn’t deny that it fitted his current image perfectly.
Maybe if he accomplished more feats and shocked even more folks in the future, they might come up with a better alias or nickname for him.
Meanwhile, Li Hua nearly tripped on the stairs when she heard the name.
’D-Dao Lord? The Heavenly Dao Lord? What is this?’ She was bewildered and unsure of how to respond.
