Chapter 90: Mysterious Individual

Mo Cheng was silent as he didn’t expect Ye Ming to be so aloof from the situation. He had been paying attention to Ye Ming since the moment he entered.

’The young man didn’t even make a move, so how did Gong Shu cough up a mouthful of blood.’ Mo Cheng pondered silently.

A while later, Mo Cheng recalled the backlash incident that Gong Shu had briefly mentioned.

"Daoist Shu, did you try to deduce the mysterious person again?" Mo Cheng turned to him and asked. He didn’t approach him directly, given that Gong Shu was regulating his qi and recovering.

Although they were friends, approaching someone in this kind of state, especially with the current sticky status situation wouldn’t be appropriate.

"Yes," Gong Shu replied and wiped off the blood with a handkerchief, his eyes remained fixated on Ye Ming though.

Despite the backlash and being injured again, Gong Shu wasn’t helpless like the first incident. Instead, he was delighted and finally saw a sliver of hope in his disciple’s life.

His expression didn’t go unnoticed by Mo Cheng and Lin Loi.

Ever since the backlash, Gong Shu had been constantly in a low mood, always searching for the mysterious individual, only to no avail.

’It can’t be that, right?’ Lin Loi swallowed a mouthful nervously as she slowly shifted her gaze to Ye Ming.

Even Mo Cheng was starting to suspect this mysterious individual might be the person in front of him.

Just when everyone was confused, Ye Ming suddenly laughed aloud.

"Okay, you all can stop staring at me like some animals in a zoo." He said. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Then he turned his gaze to Gong Shu. "I’m sure you already have the answer in your heart, right?"

Gong Shu nodded. Although he feared the backlash, he didn’t care and repeatedly deduced. Naturally, it wasn’t deducing the mysterious figure, but all those he had suspected.

When doing so, he never received any backlashes or anything. In fact, he could deduce most of the individuals’ lives he suspected, with only some of them out of reach.

However, not a single one of them had caused him to receive a similar backlash until today.

To summarize, Gong Shu could already confirm the person he was searching for had finally appeared. Nevertheless, he wanted to be absolutely certain.

"Little Loi, bring me all the details of this Dao Lord." Gong Shu sent a voice transmission to Lin Loi.

Lin Loi was taken aback and wondered if it was appropriate to say it now.

After all, Mo Cheng could detect the voice transmission being present even if he couldn’t hear the content with his cultivation base.

As for Ye Ming, his presence was still a mystery, so one couldn’t confirm he wouldn’t know about the voice transmission.

Voice transmission was private, but could still be sensed by those with a similar cultivation base. Of course, it was still very hard to detect. But granted the room only had four people, it was hard to not detect it.

Unwilling to waste any more time on pointless conversation, Ye Ming stretched his arms.

He found a comfortable chair to sit down in and said, "Go ahead and report everything you know about me to them. I’m too lazy to interact further if they all behaved like some clown."

Mo Cheng’s body flinched for a second after hearing that. He could tell that Ye Ming was talking about his earlier interrogation action and his tone was akin to that of a clown.

"Since the Daoist Dao Lord is magnanimous, then quickly bring all relevant details." Mo Cheng exclaimed and ordered Lin Loi to make haste.

"R-R-Right away." Now that both her Masters had demanded the details and Ye Ming’s permitting it, Lin Loi no longer hesitated.

She retrieved a pile of papers that was newly compiled from Shan Tung and handed it over to her two Masters.

Mo Cheng was about to receive the papers when Gong Shu swooped in and took it all.

"..."

Mo Cheng was startled by his behavior.

"Is there another copy?" Mo Cheng cleared his throat and asked Lin Loi. He knew Gong Shu had been paying heavy attention to the mysterious individual, so he didn’t bother competing with him for the papers.

"Unfortunately, not." Lin Loi flashed a bitter smile. "Those papers are the only version."

"Aiyah, how could you still be that careless as an acting City Lord?" Mo Cheng facepalmed.

Lin Loi lowered her head in shame. But one couldn’t blame her either for not preparing multiple versions. The incident happened too suddenly and she had barely been appointed without much experience.

While she promised to do better, Gong Shu was already concentrating on the recorded information.

’Origin unknown. Proclaimed as Dao Lord. First discovered by a junior named Tao Wang of the Blue Wind Sect at Fushang Forest.’ As Gong Shu read further, his body trembled in excitement.

A few minutes later, Gong Shu turned his attention to Ye Ming and asked, "You were able to subdue a Red Demon Tiger without lifting a finger?"

When Ye Ming heard that question, he was slightly surprised.

’Hoh, so he didn’t know about the Beast Pill?’ He thought to himself.

The matter of subduing the Red Demon Tiger was only known to Tao Wang, but she probably told it to her Senior Sister Ling Qiwei. After all, Ling Qiwei was quite hostile to him at first but then changed her attitude.

The fact that there was information on subduing could be relayed by Ling Qiwei. As for the Beast Pill’s appearance, Tao Wang most likely concealed that, not daring to expose the matter.

After all, Tian Suyin was gravely injured and required medicinal pills to sustain.

Had the beast pill matter been exposed, Gong Shu’s question would definitely not be about the subduing, but about his alchemy experience or medical level.

"That is correct. Tao Wang could be the witness and I don’t think you would suspect her of lying, right?" Ye Ming answered, opting to play along with the scenario. Tian Suyin’s life appeared grim in Gong Shu’s eyes. But to him, he could easily nullify the residual effects that were in her.
