The Only Spatial Ability User In The Apocalypse-Chapter 73 No Energy Stone
The zombie used the impact from the stone pillar to flip backward and land on the wall of a nearby building. It clung vertically like a spider and growled lowly at Sylas. Blood dripped down from its shoulder where its arm had been severed.
Sylas immediately condensed a compressed spatial blade and sent it out. The zombie immediately dodged at a very fast speed, and its small figure blurred.
The compressed spatial blade hit the wall with a strong force, blowing the wall into smithereens.
The zombie was coming straight at Sylas like a cannonball.
Sylas sidestepped, but the zombie changed direction mid-air and followed.
So fast!
Sylas raised a space barrier.
Bang!
The zombie slammed into the barrier. The space barrier trembled and shook due to the impact. Sylas gritted his teeth and reinforced the space barrier around him.
The zombie clawed at the space barrier with all its might. Even without one arm, it was still very strong. Sylas couldn’t even imagine how strong it could be if the zombie could use a mental attack.
Sylas staggered back a few steps, and his breathing turned heavy. If he could, he didn’t want to open a spatial rift. Opening a spatial rift was dangerous, and he couldn’t even control it fully. One slight mistake and it could cost him his life.
He considered opening a spatial rift but held back.
’Let me try using earth energy first,’ Sylas thought. Although his earth ability was not as strong as his space ability, it was still very strong.
The zombie seemed to get frustrated because it couldn’t get close to Sylas. Its attacks became frantic as it growled and screeched at Sylas.
Sylas stomped his foot, and earth energy surged out from beneath his foot. The ground outside the space barrier started to become loose, and the zombie stumbled and fell onto the loose ground.
Sylas immediately seized the opportunity to send out spatial blades. Several spatial blades rushed out and headed straight at the zombie. The zombie immediately rolled its body grotesquely and leaped at a very fast speed.
It dodged the spatial attacks, but one spatial blade grazed past its leg, cutting off a small part of its heel. Blood dripped down, and it stumbled again.
Sylas immediately condensed another compressed spatial blade and attacked the zombie. The zombie tried to dodge, but at the same time, earth energy surged out again, and stone spikes burst out, surrounding the zombie.
The zombie tried to dodge but was too late. The compressed spatial attack cleanly cut its body vertically.
The zombie’s body fell down, and Sylas immediately retracted his energy. His breathing was heavy, and he coughed loudly several times.
Although he didn’t open up a spatial rift this time, his energy was almost depleted. This zombie was very strong and fast, but it didn’t have mental energy. If it possessed mental energy, Sylas knew it wouldn’t have been an easy fight. He could have been defeated or barely won against it after only opening a spatial rift.
After his breathing became stable, he walked towards the zombie. He looked inside the zombie’s opened head for an energy stone. After looking at it, he didn’t see an energy stone. He used his senses to locate the energy stone, but after a few seconds, Sylas furrowed his brows.
He couldn’t sense any energy stone inside the zombie’s head.
He smashed the already opened zombie’s head again and carefully looked at it, but he still couldn’t find it.
No energy stone! How is this possible?
Did it fall out somewhere?
Sylas spread out his senses, covering the whole area where they had battled, trying to locate the energy stone. But even then, he still couldn’t find it.
Sylas immediately cut open all its body parts just in case but still couldn’t even see a shadow of the energy stone.
Don’t tell me it didn’t have an energy stone!
But how is that possible?
A high-level zombie without an energy stone!
How did it become strong?
Several thoughts ran through Sylas’ mind. He was puzzled and had no idea how it got strong without an energy stone.
’Weird, this zombie is very weird,’ Sylas thought as he carefully observed the already mutilated body of the zombie. But he couldn’t find any clue from the already half-rotten and mutilated body.
Sylas stood for a minute in front of the mutilated body. Apart from being a child, he couldn’t find anything worth noting down about the zombie’s body.
Growl!
Sylas sensed a mutated animal coming from behind him, likely drawn toward him by the sound of fighting and the smell of blood.
Sylas turned around and made his way to his car. Since he couldn’t find any clue, it was no use staying any longer. Moreover, his fight with this zombie had already drained almost all his energy. If stronger mutated creatures and high-level zombies arrived, he would be done for.
A mutated stray dog arrived at the scene, likely drawn by the smell of blood. Sylas waved his hand, and a spatial blade rushed out towards the mutated dog, instantly killing it.
It was a low-level mutated dog without even an energy stone. Sylas didn’t even spare it a glance before entering his car and driving away.
The convoy of cars had already left him far behind, so Sylas sped up his car, trying to catch up with them.
Within an hour, Sylas caught up with them. He didn’t encounter anything else along the road.
Several low-level mutated plants and animals attacked the convoy of cars, but they were quickly dealt with by the soldiers at the front and the ability users.
The sky darkened and the temperature dropped drastically. The survivors and soldiers were taking turns driving and sleeping. They couldn’t afford to stop or take rest. They wanted to reach the capital as soon as possible.
The more they delayed, the stronger the zombies and mutated creatures would get.
The soldiers and ability users were taking turns keeping watch at night.
Only Sylas was driving without rest. Major Kyle wanted to let some soldiers accompany him when they set out from N City, but Sylas rejected it.
