The hydra roared forcefully, aiming at Ariel as it prepared to fire its light ray.

But then someone intervened, a silhouette almost imperceptible to the naked eye that with one slash cut through the hydra’s resistant scales and dense muscles.

A katana made of black ice was the tool used for such a feat.

A feat worthy of recounting, for the hydra’s scales were undoubtedly extremely resistant.

However, that wasn’t the most impressive thing that newcomer did.

The boy added cheerfully as he observed the hydra from afar, which was starting to break the ice.

"Looks like we meet again," a voice said behind Bīng Xuě.

It was Noelia, who was getting up after the blow she had received.

Her clothes were soaked, which was quite annoying.

Bīng Xuě turned cheerfully, recognizing the voice of his last opponent in the trial.

"Oh! It’s you! The boy with the mask!" Bīng Xuě commented cheerfully as he greeted the Silver Dragon of the West.

Noelia nodded, somewhat confused that Bīng Xuě thought she was a boy, but didn’t correct him.

"Hey you guys! Stop wasting time!" Gerald shouted from the other side of the hydra.

Getting back on his feet had cost him. He had to summon a shaman to heal him.

Now he was performing a ritual to summon [Hobgoblin Ninjas] to help in the battle.

Those words made Noelia regain concentration, though Bīng Xuě continued with his calm and carefree attitude.

Then the ice exploded.

The hydra freed itself from its ice shell, sending ice fragments everywhere.

Meanwhile, the darkness head expelled a sphere of darkness toward Ariel.

That sphere seemed like some kind of gravitational mass which attracted everything to its center.

This sphere traveled at great speed against Ariel, who didn’t take long to use music to counter that attack.

The music her staff created was like a magic spell ready to be activated.

The moment the sphere approached, hundreds of colorful explosions burst, undoing the sphere of darkness before it reached her.

However, it didn’t stop there.

A stream of light explosions followed its path until reaching the hydra’s head, subjecting it to multiple light bursts that destroyed its head.

In turn, Gerald was prey to the water heads, which aimed at him and fired two water jets at him.

The boy wasn’t very fast, but the [Hobgoblin Ninjas] were.

They quickly pulled Gerald out of the jet’s attack range.

Meanwhile, the [Hobgoblin Ninjas] approached using their camouflage and stealth ability to the hydra, and once there, stabbed the hydra’s eyes.

The monster wouldn’t stay still before such an attack. The hydra shook its head forcefully seeking to get rid of those invisible goblins that were trying to kill it.

The [Hobgoblin Ninjas] were very tenacious, though the hydra’s force was enough to send some of them flying.

Meanwhile, the lightning head fired electricity from its mouth toward Gerald.

However, the shaman created a dome around its summoner.

A magical barrier in the form of a semi-dome which protected Gerald... If the lightning had gone for him.

However, the lightning didn’t strike the barrier but the ground, leaving Gerald confused.

"What?" It was then he realized how the [Hobgoblin Ninjas] still on the ground were falling dead one by one. "Shit."

Gerald looked down. The ground was wet. There was a lot of water in fact, which reached up to his ankles.

The hydra had taken advantage of the moment when the water was still spreading to electrify the water and finish off multiple enemies at once.

Luckily, the dome had also prevented the water outside from mixing with the inside, so Gerald received no damage.

However, at that instant when the summoner felt relief, a gigantic explosion broke the shield and sent him flying.
