The Villainess Married The Evil CEO-Chapter 99: You’re Depressed Again?!
Abigail didn’t know anything about the details, if she knew, she would have told her husband that she had met that masked woman. But right now, she was merely looking outside the window and trying her best to ignore a certain someone hell-bent on opening her mouth that day.
"And, that woman gave me a flower after chasing me for so long!" Asher chuckled. "How come a stalker, a crazy girl who was clearly hooking up with other people, had her eyes on me? I wasn’t that kind of a man even back then. Thus, I refused her kind intentions and walked away. Abigail, are you listening?"
"En." Abigail finally replied, but she didn’t say anything more. Heck, she didn’t even glance at him, merely looking outside the window for as long as she could.
Asher frowned.
By this time, he finally realized something was wrong. Otherwise, the woman who would jump excitedly and talk to him about everything and anything was suddenly so silent.
It could be that she was depressed all over again, could she?
But how was that possible? Nicholas was here! So what should be the reason for her depression this time?
At first, upon seeing the couple early in the morning and how they acted with one another, he thought they must have argued. So he silently felt happy in his heart and failed to notice Abigail’s weirdness.
But now that he saw her actions, he realized that this might be the start of her depression, just like before!
Damn, why was it that Nicholas got all the excitement while he would only face her depression?!
Asher finally stopped the car in one corner, making Abigail stunned. She turned toward him and asked, "What happened?"
"You." Asher pointed his index finger at her face as a trace of worry appeared in his eyes. "You’re depressed again."
"I’m not!" Abigail firmly believed that she was still in her mania phase. Her depression wouldn’t return until way later, and now that she had a doctor, she knew she would be fine. So she wasn’t very worried about it.
Plus, she was already taking medicines. That’s probably why her moodiness was a little under control.
At the very least, she had a little bit of power to control her emotions. That’s why she was able to stay calm and quiet despite the anxiety bubbling in her heart.
Damn, his medicines were working!
She would have to thank Owen today for sure!
Asher frowned as he continued to look at her. He didn’t trust her anymore, especially with depression. Thus, he proceeded to turn the car around to take them back. No, he would first take her to a renowned psychiatrist.
After thinking of an appropriate destination in his mind, he started driving in that direction.
When Abigail noticed that they were heading back, she instantly became even more anxious as she grabbed the man’s hand and said, "Where are you taking me? Aren’t we heading for the auditions?!"
"We are." Asher looked serious as he drove as fast as possible. "But your condition is serious. We have to go and find a psychiatrist. Until we do, I can’t be calm."
"But, I already have a doctor!" Abigail didn’t want to tell him about Owen, but this man left her with no choice! "He even gave me some medicine! That’s what I purchased after landing here!"
Asher’s brows furrowed even more as he stopped the car turned toward her and asked, "Then what’s up? Why don’t you talk to me anymore?"
"Uh..." Abigail pursed her lips.
She can’t possibly tell him her real reason right?! It would be too embarrassing!
Thus, she could only lie. She coughed and acted like she was too embarrassed to speak a single word and said, "Well, I was trying to practice being Olivia Bennett."
"Really?" Asher’s eyes narrowed as he stared at the lady, who nodded rapidly and turned fully toward the man.
"Don’t you think my acting was spot on today?!" Abigail giggled and said, "I can act, can’t I?"
"You..." Asher didn’t know what kind of expression he should make. "You have learned acting?"
"No." Abigail shook her head and gave out another giggle. "I’d act as characters of my favorite novels in front of the mirror many times. That’s why I was confident about my acting skills."
"Oh." Asher nodded, slightly impressed. Now he wouldn’t have to change the storyline to suit Abigail’s original nature. She could really act.
If this movie becomes famous, Abigail would probably make it big with her identity as Olivia Bennett. When that happens, won’t she have enough money to get rid of Nicholas once and for all?
Asher relaxed as he smiled and said, "Alright. So you can audition, right?"
Abigail nodded.
"Okay, let’s go." She became excited for a minute before frowning once again. "But I still don’t know what kind of role I’ll play."
"A serial killer." Asher drove in another direction once again as he smiled a little. "I wasn’t sure before whether you would be able to play that well, so I wanted to change the script a bit according to how you can play that character. You see, I’m the investor in this movie. So I can do anything I want."
"Wait... You invested in this movie?" Abigail’s eyes brightened up at the thought of giving her a backdoor.
Ordinary girls would frown upon this, but she didn’t. Abigail knew her position well enough to realize that without a backdoor, she probably wouldn’t be able to make it big, especially considering her own nature and mood swings.
"I wasn’t an investor originally." Asher decided to show off at this point as he said, "But for you, I invested in the movie just last night when you decided to have auditions."
"Oh..." Abigail felt her heart warmed at this. But then, she suddenly remembered she had to stay aloof and indifferent to these two. Thus, despite feeling good after hearing his words.
Ah, how could she not feel good?! This young man invested so much money just for the sake of her audition!!!
Abigail knew she wasn’t a saint in her heart, and that day when she would end up falling for both men wasn’t far if she continued to get soft-hearted. But she still had to preserve her heart well until that day and work her best, right?
She took a deep breath and controlled her emotions as she said, "Okay. Thanks."
