Jin Kang huffed and folded her arms. "Tch, I feel like I am being accused of something."

Alix and Holea laughed at their friend.

Alix raised her hand and asked for another milkshake. As she was doing that, Holea was still digging into Jin Kang.

"If you are feeling guilty then maybe it's because you have something to hide."

Alix looked over and said, "Maybe you don't want to rip the handsome douchebag to pieces but rip his clothes to pieces."

"Hey!! don't wrong me like that. I am not that type of woman." Jin Kang raised her voice at her friends.

The other two laughed at her and enjoyed teasing her to a point of making her sulk.

Alix was having fun. Life had become quite beautiful when her finances loosened up. Not just for her but all of them. In the previous month when they sat at this table, they were worried about shutting the school down and other things. Alix was about to move in with Jin Kang to reduce expenses. Holea was thinking about taking out a loan to expand the cafe. Now, those things were far behind in the mirror and the future appeared to be rosy. They had smiles on their faces. It sure felt good to be happy.

"I don't want to stay with you guys anymore." Jin Kang stood up and picked up her back.

It looked like she was leaving and they would not be able to stop her.

"Ho!" Alix said.

"I will be in Hunan for the next three days. Our family is spending the holiday at my grandparents place."

"Send them our regards as always." Holea told her.

"I will." she answered snappishly. She was still angry with them, albeit playfully.

When she left, Alix looked at the time.

"Are you leaving too?" Holea asked her.

She nodded. "I have another date with my grandfather. He is taking me to me to try out some traditional cuisines."

Holea looked at her friend thoughtfully, thinking about the few opinions she had on the Tai family.

"It's the grandfather of the Tai family." she said, asking for clarity.

Alix nodded.

"Alright, have fun on your date." she told her friend.

They stood up together and she walked Alix out of the door of the cafe which was beginning to fill up as the lunch hour approached.

Uncle Ju saw them coming and he stood up. He had been sitting in a chair under an umbrella outside the cafe. In his hands was Majesty, Alix's cat.

Pets were not allowed inside the cafe, and Holea did not break the rule even for a friend. Alix didn't mind, she like Holea's strict unbending nature. It balanced the carefree playful attitude of her and Jin Kang, keeping them on track and focused.

Besides, Majesty like being outside and seeing the world more than being in enclosed places.

She took Majesty from uncle Ju and he went to bring the car around.

"Your cat is pretty." Holea rubbed Majesty's head with a soft smile on her face.

"He is male," Alix told her.

"Men can be pretty too." Holea told her.

"Like Aang Yu Chen." Alix replied.

They both chuckled as they recalled what was possibly the most beautiful boy they had ever seen in their lives. Back then in high school, all three of them had had crushes on Aang, at different times.

It was easy to remember the tall boy with messy black hair, long eye lashes, big brown eyes, a strong jaw, beautiful smile and two dimples in his cheeks.

He was now a famous male model, which was no surprise to all of them.

"Will you be visiting the Lin villa during the holidays?" Holea asked.

"For what?" Alix responded quickly.

The way she almost jumped up as if Holea had burned her hand, one would think that she had just heard the most surprising thing in the world.

'We both know that your father is going to invite you over. Zhang Caishen is his golden ticket to the big leagues. Your father will never let the two of you go."

Alix knew this too. But whatever he tried, he would not succeed. In fact, it had been total silence from her family for a while, since that dinner.

She had not thought about them during this time but now that Holea brought him up, she wondered what or why he was so quiet.

Was he plotting something?

The car came around and Alix hugged Holea. It was a side hug to avoid squishing Majesty.

"I will call you tomorrow." she told her friend.

"Mmm," Holea answered.

Alix was driven away from Holea's cafe with a whole lot of desserts which she had bought for the family. It would take her at least an hour to get to her destination so she relaxed and decided to see what was going on in the gaming world.

She put Majesty down and the cat walked to the closed window and lifted itself up, looking out like a dog.

Alix took a picture of him, chuckled and scratched his back. "Oh, my Majesty wants to look outside. Should I lower the car window for you?"

"No," it answered.

She left the cat to do as it pleased and looked at her phone but in truth, she was looking at her virtual screen.

So far, she had given ten points to Caishen to help him recover faster as the system suggested.

"Hey, system Blueberry"

"I told you not to call me that yesterday." The system answered.

"You refused to respond to Blue smurf and you don't have a name, only a number system C-101. I cannot call you C-101, maybe I should name you. What do you think about Long Fei. No, Lin Fei." she answered.

Those were great names, better than a number.

"No thank you, I like being C-101." It responded.

"Blueberry it is." she said.

The system elf refused to respond to Blueberry and she sighed.

"You win, C-101. Tell me if I should add more points to Caishen's health now."

It appeared on her virtual screen willingly now that she had addressed it as it wished.

"Add ten more points, his healing needs to be a gradual process."

"Do it." she told the system. "Meanwhile, why is there footage of me in what I assume is a different world? Is it a deep fake video?"

The little elf smiled and nodded. "It's called fan service, you can share little snippets of your life with your biggest fans. I altered the background and data to make it appear as if you live on a very different world. I haven't shared it anywhere yet. Tell me what you think of what I have put together."

"No, it's too risky. You said that I am an illegal in the gaming world. It's more important for us that I play the game over doing fan service."

She needed the game, playing it was the thing which was going to change her life.

"Are you sure the system asked her."

"I am." she replied.

"You get more gifts and points if we do fan service." It told her.

"I got plushies and milk last time. I like the occasional gifts but we both need the game more. Let's just concentrate on that for now."

The elf sighed and deleted the video. Alix did not even get a chance to see what it had compiled.
