The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 141: Drinks and regrets.
If Lin Qianfan and Jing Hee had been patient for five more minutes, they would actually have had the chance to see the Zhang's.
Their cars rolled in shortly after they left and some members of the family returned home. Zhang Bo and Zhang Caishen were not among the returnees as they stayed back at the hotel.
Caishen stayed behind to spend some time with his friends and his brother decided to join them.
At the moment, they were inside one of the presidential suites because Zhang Bo did not want to be seen by paparazzi or fans, smoking in a public area. It was not illegal to smoke but when one was a celebrity, even the smallest thing could spark off a storm.
A picture of him smoking could be misconstrued and turned into something negative.
Rongyan, the doctor in the group disapproved of Zhang Bo's smoking habit and he opened the door to the balcony to eradicate the smell from the room.
As he returned to sit down, he complained a whole lot. "How many times have you quit and picked up this nasty habit again? Do you need me to send you a link on the dangers of smoking again? If you can't quick for yourself, do it for your son."
Zhang Bo folded his face and scratched his ears. The others laughed because every time Zhang Bo and Rongyan got together, Rongyan had something to nag Zhang Bo about.
Zhang Bo put the cigarette out on a crystal ashtray sitting on the table that had some bottles of wine, freshly sliced fruits and peanuts.
"You nag worse than any woman I have ever dated." Zhang Bo told Rongyan.
Rongyan scoffed and replied, "You say that every single time and it's getting old, find a new line."
Zhang Bo looked at Du Fuzi and asked him, "Why is he sober? I thought Bam Bam, Bing Bing, Bu Bu....that ex-girlfriend of his has just dumped him recently. Doesn't he go on a bender for like two months after their break ups?"
"It's Bei-Bei, and I think I am done with trying to make the relationship work with her." Rongyan stated.
Si Huang Chen snorted and laughed. Du Fuzi chuckled whiled Caishen just took a sip of his wine slowly.
Rongyan could tell that his friends did not believe him and it irked him a bit. Everyone assumed that he could not live without Bei-Bei but this time round, he was vastly serious.
"You guys don't believe me but I am serious. I need to spend some time on my own without Bei-Bei. Think about it, when have I ever been single apart from the times when she and I were on a break?
I actually voluntarily went to see a psychologist because I need to develop better dating habits, nurture healthy relationships and focus on being a better doctor. I once dreamt of being the best obstetrician in the country, especially surgical wise, but I am thirty four years old now and I am not even ranked among the top one hundred.

I wasted my youth chasing Bei-Bei, begging for her love and drinking myself silly." He fell back in the chair and groaned. "I should have made better decisions."
Rongyan's little regret filled speech stunned his friends who rarely took anything that he said seriously.
He was the goof of their little group, the one who always said stupid things. It was rare to hear him speak sense, unless it was related to medicine.
It seemed like this break up and Bei-Bei flaunting a new man on weibo had actually been the kick in the butt which Rongyan needed to get his head on straight.
Du Fuzi was sitting closest to Rongyan and he slapped him on the shoulder, twice. "Come on man, thirty four is still young. You have enough time to accomplish your goals." he handed him a glass of whiskey as he comforted him.
"We are all roughly the same age and we are still trying to accomplish our dreams." Si Huang Chen added.
Caishen too had a few words of encouragement for their friend. "Most doctors peak in their fields between the ages of forty two to fifty three. I believe that you still have nine years to accomplish your goals. This will of course be determined by your commitment to acquiring knowledge and practicing as many procedures as many times as possible."
Zhang Bo put down his wine glass and picked up the bottle to fill it again. As he did, he said to them, "I am actually older than you guys so don't lump me in with your group. Also, I have accomplished my dreams."
Over the course of his career he had won best new comer award, the best supporting actor, best male actor, best couple, acting icon and many other awards. Zhang Bo could actually retire now because there was no wall left for him to scale in the industry. He had won everything their was to win.
"Why is your brother here?" Du Fuzi asked Caishen.
They were trying to cheer Rongyan on, not depress him and he was practically bragging.
"You encouraged him to stay." Caishen reminded him.
Rongyan exhaled loudly and he stood up. "I am going to nap in the bedroom for a while. You can just leave me here when you all leave."
His friends watched him leave and then Si Huang Chen turned to the others with worry in his eyes and said, "You guys don't think he is depressed, do you? He has yawned a few times and I remember reading somewhere on the internet that yawning can be a sign of depression."
For some reason, they all turned to Caishen as if he had all the answers that they needed. Somewhere in his large brain, he had to know something.
He did not disappoint, of course. "Excessive yawning. But it's too soon to jump to the depression conclusion. There are other symptoms of depression like feeling sad or empty, hopeless, and worthless. Has he exhibited any of those?"
Si Huang Chen tilted his head as he thought and he said, "Well he is not happy with where he is career wise."
"Worthless." Zhang Bo said.
"He says that he wants to be alone." Si Huan Chen added.
"Empty." Zhang Bo supplemented.
"And he is regretting how he spent his youth." Si Huang Chen finished off.
"Hopeless." Zhang Bo concluded as well.
Du Fuzi and Caishen looked at the two as if they shared one brainless head. If that was all it took for one to be declared depressed then everyone in the world that shared those sentiments was clinically depressed.
"He is already seeing a psychologist to better himself. Stop making up stories in your heads." Du Fuzi told them.
Zhang Bo pulled the bowl of peanuts which had been in front of Rongyan's seat closer to himself.
"Since he is sleeping, he won't be needing these."
"Didn't you guys just eat lunch?" Du Fuzi asked him.
"Peanuts are healthy." Zhang Bo answered as he threw a few into his mouth.
He actually tossed them up in the air and tried to catch them with his mouth as they fell back down. A few entered his mouth while others fell to the ground.
"If only his fans could see him now." Si Huang Chen whispered.
Du Fuzi stood up to check on Rongyan while Caishen sneakily took a picture which he would show Alix and eliminate that beautiful image in her mind that she had of his brother.
