The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 222: His word.
For a little while, he didn't speak. It wasn't that he couldn't give her the response she sought but he was digesting all that she had said. Holea had just laid a lot of information at his feet.
If she had not told him this, he doubted that he would have noticed the bitter sweet relationship between Alix and the piano. As a matter of fact, if they made it to one happy year in the marriage, his plan to buy her one of the world's most expensive pianos as a gift.
He turned his gaze to Holea, his eyes very speculative. Maybe having her in his ear would not be so bad. She may be more reliable than Jin Kang.
Looking at her with seriousness in his eyes and voice. Caishen answered, "You have my word."
"Thank you." Holea nodded, turned on her heel and walked away as calm as she had been when she approached him.
She didn't even stick around to pretend that they were getting along so well or try to ask for his phone number. She ha come with a purpose and it was fulfilled when she got a satisfactory answer.
He could see why Alix called her friend mama Holea. She was truly a mother hen watching out for her chick.
"The young madam has a good friend." Mo Sen commented.
"No," Caishen said in a rough voice. "She has a great friend."
"Should we put her on the list of those to keep tabs on? She did say that she would help her bury a body and I couldn't help thinking that it's your body she was referring to."
Caishen peeked over his shoulder at his bodyguard and he shook his head, both as a rejection and in wonder. This was not something they needed to waste money or time on. He did not plan to give his wife a reason to murder him.
"Have you found out how Wang Yong discovered that his__, my father is Zhang Xian and when?"
"Your father....I mean, the older master was attacked a few months before your accident. The family owes a debt and he took a blow to the head from one of the loan sharks. According to one of the people we spoke to, a friend of the family that was with them at the hospital. He said the name Zhang Xian when he regained consciousness and the doctor asked him who he was. He passed out again and when he opened his eyes, he couldn't recall calling himself Zhang Xian.
It's possible that Wang Yong started digging into the name from there and he landed on old articles and pictures of the older master. Even though he has that scar and looks physically rugged, the likeness is still there." Mo Sen informed him.
Caishen grimaced, shaking his head. "That alone is not enough for him to be convinced that the two men are the same person. He must have done a DNA test of his own somehow. When the results were revealed, he was the only one that didn't react as expected."
Caishen had been watching Wang Yong carefully on that day. His every reaction was still vivid in his head. In those first few seconds, while his grandmother was wailing and his father was frozen in shock, Wang Yong had lowered his face and smiled.
It was a five second smile that barely rose but he had caught it.
"Find out where everyone that is close to Wang Yong has been in the past two years. Look for anyone that is suddenly missing or gone, especially. Concentrate on those with ties to the entertainment industry.
I doubt that whatever DNA he needed came from me but I cannot be sure. Zhang Bo and Zhang An are the easiest to access."
"Yes young master."
"My grandmother too, look into the place where she gets her massages done. Do not forget the place where grandfather gets his hair and beard cut."
"And the loan sharks?" Mo Sen asked.
Caishen watched Alix approaching them and he smiled through his last instructions.
"Round them up and find out everything. If Wang Yong mentioned that his father is the presumed dead Zhang family's heir, they could have collaborated to cause my accident or maybe the loan sharks did it on their own."
Everyone assumed that Caishen was the next Zhang group chairman. They were going to be in for a shock at Bo's inauguration ceremony.
He turned his whole body towards Alix as she sat down. "If it isn't the most beautiful and talented music teacher of the year." he said in a rough voice.
She placed her small white hands under her chin and smiled. "Ho, only for the year?"
"I was wrong, forever." he answered, still in a rough voice.
She dropped her hands and sat upright. "Do you have a cough why is your voice rough?"
He touched his throat and rubbed it a bit. "Maybe I am coming down with a cold. We might have to sleep in separate rooms so that I don't infect you. Aah, sister hulk, will you be able to sleep without me?"
Alix looked around quickly, then she faced him and poked him gently on his stomach.
"Don't call me that in public. I don't want other people to call me sister hulk."
He drew his head back and nodded. "I agree, it's a special name reserved for only me. If I ever catch anyone else calling you sister hulk I will be obligated to punch them and break their jaw."
He smiled slyly because he was making fun of her.
She rolled her eyes and twisted her mouth around. A soft sniff like sound escaped his nose as he laughed softly. He inclined his body towards hers and smiled.
There was something about his smile that always drew her in. He had these two slightly sharp canines which you only noticed when you were up close with him and his smile was wide. He also had the most adorable smile she thought she had ever seen. It was so flawless and natural and mesmerizing.
Alix laughed beneath her breath and shook her head. Then she covered both of her eyes and shook her head slowly, smiling as she called herself foolish.
"You shouldn't smile like that." she muttered.
"Why?" he asked.
"Because it's deadly." she admitted. Then she threw her head back and laughed loudly.
Caishen tugged on her arm and pulled her so that half of her was leaning closer to him. "Don't run away after saying such a thing. Are you trying to cause my heart to flutter or you are just seducing me so that you won't have to sleep alone tonight?"
"I am serious, you have a killer smile." she sighed and looked down.
"Does this mean I should smile more often? I want to kill you with my smiles. Should I become a smiling machine?" He kept trying to look at her face while she looked away, dodging him as she laughed.
Standing under one of the other parasols, Jin Kang stepped up to Holea and she said, "She is gone right? In such a short period of time she is already gone."
Holea didn't reply but she frowned. This was what worried her more than everything. Alix was attracted to her husband.
