Alix's jaw dropped after hearing Caishen's casual and nonchalant response.

She softened up so he let go of her hands.

Alix leaned back in the car and sighed as she thought about how wealthy one would have to be to say something like that.

He probably had like a vault full of money.

"Ho, I can't wait to be as rich as you so that I can say such words."

She looked at him, smiled cheekily and mimicked him, "It's just money."

"It was always meant to be donated to charity and I thought donating it in your name would be better since you played so beautifully." He explained.

He was not the type of man to explain himself but he felt the need to clarify to her that he was not a wasteful individual.

"Actually the credit of that donation goes to Baby. One of her paws tapped a button on my laptop and I ended up purchasing a few stocks which have made me some very good profits.

I figured that I should share some of the good luck which fell into my lap out of nowhere."

"Aah, that dumb lucky cat." Alix muttered.

It had managed to accomplish another great thing and Caishen would pamper it even more now.

"Don't be jealous of a cat." She told herself.

"Did you say something?" Caishen asked her.

"No, I just hummed something. I had a good time at the benefit. How about you?" She quickly changed the topic.

"It was okay." He said.

He stared at her after that brief response and she stared back at him. As she smiled sort of awkwardly, she wondered what to say next.

"I enjoyed meeting your friends." She told him.

"They enjoyed meeting you too." He answered.

"Awesome." She said.

"You played really well." He told her.

"Thank you." She said and smiled.

"When did you get a brother?" He suddenly asked.

Alix knew that this question was coming but she hadn't known he would be so direct about it.

"He is a friend." She answered unsurely.

Caishen's senses tingled and he raised both eyebrows up. She sounded unsure about her answer. Was he a good friend and how close were they?

"Obviously he is not my blood brother. Lin Qianfan would die a happy man if our family was biologically connected to the Tai's in any way.

He would be on every television in the country blasting it to the entire world."

"So he is not your blood brother." Caishen jumped in and said before she could get carried away describing all the ways in which her scummy father would love to be related to a family of multi millionaires.

"Yes, grandpa Sun just took a liking to me and decided that I should call him grandpa. I am not going to squeeze myself into their family. I do not want to be seen as some kinf of gold digger or leech. I am simply associating with grandpa Sun because he is just really nice and adorable.

He asked me to call me Tai Ho Sun brother and I went along with it because we have done business together and I intend to do more business with the Tai's in future."

"What did you sell to them?" he asked her.

She knew that he would have questions when she bought a school or a building so she regaled him with a fictional tale of the beautiful jewels from her mothers side of the family which were hidden away so that the Lin's could not get their hands on them.

By the time she was done, they had arrived at home.

Alix's feet carried her to the kitchen immediately in search of food.

Caishen's wheelchair carried him in the direction of Baby, who was sleeping on the coffee table in the living room.

"Welcome back young master" Nanny Luo walked of the kitchen with one plate of food and Alix on her heels with another plate.

"En, has baby eaten dinner?" he asked.

Nanny Luo smiled quite affectionately at Caishen and baby. The young master would make a very good father.

"She has eaten young master. Baby has a very good appetite, she left nothing in the bowl."

Caishen stroked the cat and put it on an empty dining chair.

Alix was already eating voraciously as if she had not had a bite of anything all day.

"Slow down." Caishen told her.

She licked her lips and smiled. Nanny Luo's red beans and rice soup was the best she had ever tasted.

"Ouh," she jumped up as she recalled something. "Hang on for a second."

Quickly, she went to the kitchen and returned with a glass of warm milk that she placed in font of him. It was already a given that he would play around with his food instead of eating it.

The healthy nutritious alien milk would be good for him.

"Hubby Zhang, drink this."

He frowned, making the same face nanny Luo had made when Alix told her to drink milk.

"I would rather not." he said.

He used his index finger to poke the glass and slowly send it in her direction.

Alix smiled and pushed the glass back toward him.

"Hubby, this milk is healthy, nutritious and very expensive. It's one of a kind and I got it especially for you. Just taste a little bit, hmm, taste and see." she insisted, speaking coquettishly.

"Meow." Baby cried.

The cat was looking at the glass of milk with a willingness to drink it on behalf of his master.

Caishen tickled it under it's chin and laughed.

"Do you want some?" he asked it.

"No." Alix said.

"If you want the dumb cat to drink some of my milk then you have to do the same. You barely ate anything at the benefit and you have eaten two mouthfuls of this food. You need to put something in your stomach."

She gave him a determined look.

"Meow." baby cried weakly.

Caishen did not know if the cat could understand but there is a way it was looking at him with pitiful eyes. It almost looked as if the cat was about to cry.

If it could talk, it would probably urge him to drink the milk.

"Fine." Caishen relented.

"The whole glass." Alix told him.

He took a deep breath and folded his lips into a thin line as if he was being forced to drink acid and not sweet delicious milk. Then he opened his mouth and gulped the milk down.

Alix watched him like a mother keeping an eye on her baby. She ensured that he finished every drop.

When he was finished, he put down the glass and licked his lips slowly. He had obviously enjoyed the milk a lot more than he thought.

Alix followed the movement of his tongue on his lips and bit her bottom lip with a weird look in her eyes.

He noticed that she was staring at his mouth and he smirked.
