Three Treasures: Spoiled Wife Goes Wild-Chapter 1787: First Aid
Almost at the same time Leon was taken away, Oliver Battleson’s body trembled and fell to the ground.
Large patches of blood gushed from his abdomen, the sticky metallic scent spreading continuously in the air.
As he fell, his gaze remained fixed on Justin Battleson.
Although Justin Battleson’s gaze was on his own body, Charlotte Thompson clearly noticed that Justin’s palm, which had been pressing on her wrist, tightened slightly at that moment.
Charlotte lowered her eyelids, her eyes slightly trembling.
The unconscious Oliver was quickly taken to the hospital by the bodyguards Justin brought.
"Mr. Battleson, about today’s incident..."
The person who came with Justin was not actually a reporter, but the president of the country’s top news agency, who practically controlled all major media outlets.
When Justin first contacted him, he had been a bit surprised.
After all, the situation regarding Justin’s family background was already causing quite a stir.
However, the president had not expected that following Justin, he would witness such a scene.
After hearing the president’s inquiry, Justin glanced in his direction and then answered slowly:
"The news doesn’t need to be made public for the time being."
Then Justin left the place with Charlotte.
The president responded, withdrawing his gaze from Justin’s back, and involuntarily glanced at the empty basement behind him.
It was cold and damp here, with only the mottled bloodstains on the ground as evidence of the absurd events that had just occurred.
It seemed like a dark, gaping mouth, unknowingly devouring everything.
This gave the president a chill, prompting him to hurriedly leave, closing the door and leaving all those memories behind.
The collision with Oliver was very severe, unsurprisingly injuring his internal organs, with massive bleeding worsened by his already poor physical condition, inadvertently putting him in critical danger.
The emergency room light remained on, and naturally, Charlotte and Justin were waiting outside.
Justin had gone to make a phone call earlier, and though Charlotte didn’t hear what he said, she could tell from his icy expression that it was undoubtedly about Leon.
However, Charlotte did not ask Justin how he planned to deal with Leon. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
This matter had nothing to do with her.
Charlotte merely directed her gaze into the emergency room.
Could it be that these entanglements could finally be brought to an end at this moment?
While Charlotte was contemplating this, Justin had already walked over to her, naturally taking her hand, only to discover that Charlotte’s fingertips were a bit cold.
"Does the wound still hurt?" Justin frowned slightly and asked in a low voice.
"It’s just a small cut, nothing serious."
Touching the bandage on her neck, Charlotte shook her head, but as she looked down, she noticed the tear in Justin’s suit jacket.
Charlotte then remembered that Justin had been cut by Leon when he shielded her at the beginning.
Instantly, a trace of remorse crossed Charlotte’s heart.
How could she forget about this?
"But your wound, why hasn’t it been treated yet? I’ll find a doctor now."
After saying this, Charlotte was about to turn and leave, but Justin grasped her wrist, and with a slight force, brought her back into his embrace.
