Akaris killed hundreds of blood Raksha but he couldn’t stop the endless flood by himself with just his bow.

Eventually he was forced to pull out his sword and protect Oriana while she tried to regain her mana.

Any blood Raksha that got close was immediately cut into pieces. " AHHHHH." With a loud roar he swung his sword.

A 2 metres long mana blade shot out and killed a dozen blood Raksha before fizzling out.

He thought of using mana wave but he couldn’t do that with Oriana so close or she would be caught in the blast.

He also couldn’t summon his echo, it was currently healing inside his soul after being ripped apart by thousands of blood Raksha.

Seeing them getting close and about to drown both he and Oriana he used bolster, even though it wasn’t that powerful it could at least hurt them.

He was betting on them being living things and feeling pain unlike the undead and his bet was correct.

A domain of light spread out and since he had an ally nearby it grew wider and much stronger.

The light of bolster grew lighter and warmer, he felt his mana regeneration speed increasing by a small amount.

He looked at Oriana and she looked calmer under the light of bolster, she opened her eyes and they lit up with a fighting spirit of warriors.

The blood Raksha’s experience were different, the moment they touched the light they screamed with agony.

Their bodies started smoking, one of them was brave enough to continue attacking them its body ignited into flames.

It screamed as it burnt to ashes, the others stood back and no longer went into the light but circled around then instead.

Fortunately for Akaris, maintaining the bolster skill did not take too much mana so he should be able to last a while.

’ I should probably start with this next time.’ he realised how stupid he had been, he had underestimated bolster because evertime he used it he didn’t have allies but it was skill that depended on allies.

So it crossed his mind until he had to use it as the last resort, next time he was going to start with bolster instead.

He could’ve saved both of them a lot of mana had he done that. He continued raising his sword above his head.

Then he noticed an issue with bolster, it wasn’t something serious or so he thought at first.

Bolster increases the fighting spirit of his allies but what happens when those allies aren’t fighting anything.

He learnt that an hour after activating bolster, Oriana’s eyes turned red and she started huffing like a bull.

Her muscles thickened and he saw veins pop on her arms and legs. The wounds on her legs started healing.

Light bringer was a holy weapon and the holy attribute naturally had healing effects.

As Oriana’s fighting spirit grew with nowhere to vent it, she started losing her mind and roared like a beast.

Before he could stop she was already gone, she activated her tiger beast soul and he heard a cat roar.

Then she shot out like an arrow and her claw cut the nearest blood Raksha into three pieces.

Sensing she had left the range of the thing that was burning then they lunged towards her.

A faint light surrounded Oriana, even when she was surrounded she didn’t show dear or retreat.

Her claws turned into blurs and ripped the blood Raksha apart but there were too many of them.

" Shit." Akaris cursed and was about to jump after her when she jumped somewhere else like a shadow.

In only a second she was over a hundred metres away, Akaris couldn’t match that speed at all.

He was forced to watch until the effect of bolster expired and she came back to her senses.

Blood and body pieces covered the sky as she danced through the blood Raksha like a grin ripper with a crazed smile.

Then she started laughing as she ripped her enemies apart like pieces of bread but there were too many of them.

They claws reached her and she started accumulating wounds but she didn’t seem to care.

Before Akaris could chase after her age jumped up and grabbed on a bone bridge 7 metres above her.

There were no blood Raksha that high and he thought she was finally escaping then she laughed even harder.

" Shit " he cursed, before he could shout for her to stop she kicked off that bone and jumped down like a cannon ball.

Mid air she changed her beast soul, it happened much faster than it could before and she turned into the bone rhino giant.

Boom, she crashed into the blood Raksha and the bone bridge shook, the poor blood Raksha were crushed into mush.

A crazed laughter echoed through the red night and 8 bone whips as thick as a human arm flashed in a circle.

Everything in a 20 metres radius around her was cut into pieces. A black giant stood up towering over the Raksha like a demon king.

The blood Raksha pounced on her, her speed was much slower in this form and their claws easily reached her.

But they bounced off the black bone armour not even leaving a scratch. This made Akaris sigh with relief.

At least this way her suicidal tendency will no longer be as dangerous but he had spoken too soon.

She suddenly cancelled her rhino beast soul and took her tiger beast soul again. " Why Why?" Akaris shouted.

He really couldn’t understand her thoughts process, did bolster also make people stupid because it would be a very dangerous ability if so.

After taking her tiger beast soul, she naturally got wounded again, she couldn’t block or dodge so many attacks at once.

She swung her claws in succession sending six mana claw blades and killed dozens of blood Raksha at once.

Then Akaris saw the light around her disappear but her maniac laugh and eyes did not change.

The effect of bolster was gone yet she continued then he realised, he recognised that face, that laugh and those eyes.

When they were dating, during their sparring she always had that look when the fight intensified.
