Transmigrated Into The Body Of The Cursed Prince Wife-Chapter 243: Marked
Chapter 243: Marked
[Long Chapter.]
---
Lucian emptied himself inside his wife after long moments of passion, filling her warm welcoming womb with his seeds. His chest heaved as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his body still trembling from the force of it all. But then he realized something strange.
Her body, which had been writhing with passion moments ago, now lay eerily still beneath him. The warmth of her hands that had clung to his shoulders faded as they fell limply at her sides.
Lucian froze, suspended atop her, the primal haze in his mind shattering as a terrible realization clawed its way into his chest when he felt she wasn’t moving.
At first, he didn’t dare move nor open his eyes when he realized he’d lost control of himself somehow in between, and now it had led to this. He’d consummated their marriage despite knowing the danger of it. He could feel her still body against his even without glancing at her.
Memories of when he’d killed the whore in the inn came to his mind. She’d also gone still underneath him that day; her heart had ceased beating along with the bone of her waist breaking. Had he done the same to his wife? Why hadn’t he been able to stop himself?
He faintly recalled his wife trying to push at his chest a while ago, but he had been too into the moment to end it. Goddamn it! What had he done? Lucian’s eyes flew open as he pulled himself away from her and stared down at her.
Her head was lolled to the side, her lips parted slightly. She was bruised from the neck down by his claws. For one harrowing second, his heart stopped beating as he stared down at her motionless form.
Then he noticed her chest rose and fell slowly. And relief hit him like a crashing wave. She was breathing—thank the gods, she was breathing! He dropped his head against her chest for a few moments to steady the shakiness in his bones from the fears that had momentarily gripped him. His heart finally slowed, each beat loosening the vice that had wrapped around his chest. When he lifted his head from her chest, he was smiling faintly.
His thumb brushed over her flushed cheek, her skin warm to the touch, though her lashes rested softly against her cheeks in a peaceful way that made his heart fill with a sense of protectiveness.
With great care, Lucian eased himself away from her completely, his movements deliberate, as though afraid the smallest jolt might harm her. He laid on his side of the bed and pulled her to the side with him. He covered her face with little kisses until she stirred in her sleep and slapped his chest with a groan of displeasure.
"Lucian, let me sleep...I am tired..." she muttered in her sleep and turned into his arms to find a comfortable position to sleep in, and Lucian shifted her in his arms, cradling her close. Her head lolled against his chest, her breath soft and even against his skin, and the knot in his chest completely unraveled.
No words could describe the relief he felt and the burden that lifted off his shoulders. She was able to survive his strength, he was able to make love to her without taking her life, she was his, his wife was his. He smiled and tightened his arms around her, and she snuggled closer to his chest and laid her head in a comfortable position.
It was when his body calmed down that he sensed something different about her scent. He looked down and reached out to move her hair away from her neck, that was when he noticed a dark mark on her fair neck. It was faint but obvious. He traced his finger over it as he recalled he’d bitten her when he was still buried deep inside her because he hadn’t been able to control that urge. It had happened automatically without him thinking about it. He’d marked her as his.
Leaning down, he pressed his lips against her head and allowed it to linger before he whispered softly, "You are mine now, and nothing can come in between us again in this lifetime. Nothing." He then turned her around and held her to him as he went back to sleep, feeling utterly content and satisfied. He slept with a smile on his face knowing from now on, nothing could stop him from making love to her ever again every night.
Ave awoke from the lovely dream she had last night, but then, feeling the strong arm around her waist and her back pressed against his solid front, she knew instantly that it hadn’t been a dream. Her husband had made love to her last night until she’d had more than enough of him and passed out. Heat rose to her face as she recalled the feeling. She’d never known anything as sweet as that could ever exist until last night. The feeling of being one with him made her insides swell with a warm feeling she recognized very much.
Now, they lay in bed, their bodies pressed impossibly close to each other, his legs draped over hers under the sheets with his arm around her waist and his head buried in the crook of her neck from behind where she felt his warm breathing fanning her skin and sending fresh new desires coursing through her. She felt sore all over, but the soreness couldn’t come close to the happiness that warmed her heart.
Being extremely careful, Ave managed to turn around in his arms and face him. His features were softened in sleep and a few strands of black hair fell over his handsome face. Without thinking, she reached out her hand and moved the hair away from his face and then traced her fingers against his long nose. Then she moved down to those sinful, bewitching lips of his that had kissed her into senselessness. She used the tip of her finger to trace the shape of it.
Everything about him was impossibly beautiful, and she took pleasure in knowing he belonged to her. She was never going to allow Nina or any woman to take her man. She would fight them if she had to keep him for herself. The thought of him making love to another woman like he did to her made her heart knotted in her chest in displeasure.
Without thinking about what she did, Ave leaned forward and kissed his lips, but before she could pull back, she felt his arm tighten around her waist as he drew her closer and then opened his mouth to kiss her back, taking her by surprise as she had just meant to peck his lips as she believed he was asleep. He kissed her until she was out of breath, and then he pulled back to smirk down at her flushed face.
"I could get used to you waking me up with your kiss, my love," he whispered softly, his voice husky and deep with sleep. He gazed down at her with love and tenderness that made Ave smile shyly as she recalled what they had done the night before and how naked they both were under the sheets with his wandering hand roaming her body.
"I thought you were asleep," she said breathlessly as she felt his hand trace her spine sensationally until it settled on her buttocks. He was seducing her with a teasing smile on his face!
"I was until I felt you touching my face and then stealing a kiss," he mused as he slipped his hand between her thighs and heard her draw in a sharp breath that made him halt his movement.
"What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?" he asked, concerned and worried as he removed his hand from between her thighs to look at her face.
She smiled. "No, you didn’t hurt me," she assured as she leaned forward to kiss his lips. He hadn’t hurt her, but she was a bit sore. However, despite that, she could feel herself getting aroused by his touch. Now he stared down at her with burning eyes that made her know without him voicing it out that he also felt the same way as she did. His hot gaze on her warmed her up from the inside until she moved up on her elbow and slowly half-crawled on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing the side of his lips.
"I love you," she whispered those words for the first time to him as she leaned her forehead against his and watched as different emotions passed through his eyes at her confession. She had mostly shown her love for him in her actions, but she’d never said the words to him until now.
Lucian couldn’t express the feelings in his heart at her words. Without a second thought, he tugged her to him and crushed his mouth against hers. He kissed her until they were both out of breath. His hands were rough and quick on her body as he picked her up in one swift movement and set her down on his hardened manhood.
She let out a delighted little scream of surprise as she settled squarely against his erection. Then slowly, she began to instinctively move up and down while watching as his eyes burned and his teeth clenched as he cursed under his breath in surprise. His hand flew to grab her hips and locked eyes with her as if he couldn’t believe what she did.
Her cheeks flushed, and she seemed surprised as well as both of her hands came to rest on his chest. She bit her lower lip as she moved against him, and they both let out a gasp of breath at the pleasure. She felt his fingers dig into her hips, and he urged her on, wanting more of her, feeling her warmth close against his hardened shaft inside her.
Ave already knew what she wanted to do to him in her mind. She might have been inexperienced, but she had her instincts to lead her to do what she believed he would like. She moved up and then ground her hips against his throbbing length, rubbing him with wet, silky heat before she moved down on him again. A guttural sound of approval came from his lips with a small moan from hers. That felt good to her, and she could tell he felt it too.
Ave let her head fall back, unable to think about what she was doing to him and to herself. The way he gripped her and responded to her only added to the pulsating heat between her legs, and she increased the rhythm, seeking more of that feeling that grew inside of her.
She recognized the feeling since it had already happened to her last night, and she became greedy for more of it, but she couldn’t lose control of her body now. She was supposed to take control, just like he had last night. It was her turn to give and take.
Her focus returned to her husband, but the look in his amber eyes didn’t make it easier for her to maintain control. The way he gazed at her alone made her insides clench around his length. Her hips moved faster, riding the edge she wanted to fall from. Her hands looked for support and found his in the haze of the moment. Their fingers intertwined, and she held onto him as she took them both on a wild, crazy ride that filled the room with her moans and his groans.
When they were finally reaching the edge of the cliff she was riding them to, Lucian changed their position in one swift movement. He turned her over and slammed into her with a few deep, hard thrusts until they came together in one blinding explosion.
He held on to her tightly, holding her against his chest, her legs wrapped around him. Lucian laid on his side, bringing her along with him. She rested her cheek on his rapidly rising and falling chest.
Ave wasn’t sure if it was his skin or her own burning—perhaps they were both burning—but the room was filled with nothing but the sound of his heart against her ear and their harsh breathing.
She turned to face him, with his arm still around her waist. He reached out and removed the hair that fell damply over her face, and she tried hard not to blush.
Lucian smiled at his wife’s cute reaction when she had been wild a moment ago. She had not only taken him by surprise but had ridden him to speechlessness. Aveline, he thought with love, would be the death of him soon. He traced the side of her face with his fingertips.
"Lucian," she whispered his name softly, and when he looked into her eyes, she spoke, "Now that we consummated our marriage with no complications, what does it mean? Does that make me your mate?" she asked curiously.
Lucian had already had a feeling before that she was his mate, but because of the confusion of the Nazias saying his mate was his kind and not a human, he had doubted it. But now that he thought about it, his mother had played with fate not because she thought he needed someone with the Rosa powers but because she wanted to spare him his torment by bringing his mate to him.
"I have marked you, so you are mine," he said as he moved the hair away from the side of the neck where his mark was. Ave reached up her hand and traced the spot he was touching with a small frown on her face.
"Was that why you bit me last night?" she asked with widened eyes as she recalled him biting her.
"I didn’t mean to, but when I was joined with you last night, it just suddenly felt right that I do it. It was instinctive and not intentional," he told her as he laid his hand against hers on the mark.
"What does it mean to be marked?" she asked curiously, as she didn’t feel any difference in her body even though he’d marked her as his mate.
"I can feel your emotions. It’s like I am one with you. And you have my aura. I can sense and perceive my scent on you, and any other were-person would sense it and know who you belong to," he informed her with a proud smile playing on his face.
"Then why can’t I feel your emotions?" she inquired with a frown.
"I guess because you are human? It doesn’t matter. All that matters now is that we found each other." He tugged her forward and pressed his lips against her forehead. "I can feel your exhaustion as well. Let’s sleep some more," he whispered into her fragrant hair and then closed his eyes.
