Transmigrated Into The Body Of The Cursed Prince Wife-Chapter 244: Happiest man on earth
Chapter 244: Happiest man on earth
Lucian woke up first this time around. He looked down at the redheaded beautiful woman sleeping in his arms with her head resting against his chest and one of her arms around his torso. He couldn’t help but smile as he recalled how she had been bold enough to seduce him last night into giving in. She had been foolishly courageous, but he couldn’t help but be proud of it. freeweɓnøvel.com
Despite the fact that the darkness inside him had taken over his body for a moment, his wife had not attempted to run for her life and instead coaxed him back to his senses. If someone had told him a few months ago that he’d fall in love with a woman again after Selene’s betrayal, he’d have killed that person on the spot for how much he despised the thought of loving any woman again or having that life every man longed to have with a wife. He had killed those feelings so long ago because he thought of himself as unfortunate.
He’d hated himself and his curse because he’d believed what everyone said. He was doomed forever, and no one he cared about would remain in his life. He’d believed everything until she came into his life and brightened up his once-darkened life. She made everything look beautiful. He had never thought he would be able to ever make love to her in bed, and he had been willing to live his entire life with her without ever loving her as a man should a woman in bed. He was willing because he loved her so, but now that he’d tasted her and knew just how good it felt to be one with his wife, he doubted if he’d be able to go a night without touching her.
Lucian gazed down at her peaceful sleeping face with a warm, tender look. Her lips were still swollen from all his kisses. He hadn’t meant to tire her out, but who could blame him? Apart from when he’d taken that whore to bed, he’d never for once had any other woman. He’d been starved for a very long time that when he finally got to touch his wife, he had lost all control of himself.
Aveline, he thought fondly with a smile on his face, was one in a million for him. No woman from his time would have been able to do what she did before falling asleep. She had ridden him to the land of lust and senselessness.
She had been so tight last night he’d have sworn Selene hadn’t misused her body and that she was an innocent maiden. But then she hadn’t bled, but that moist tightness, Lord! He drew in a sharp breath as he felt himself growing hot and hard at the recollection of the feeling. Her response to his touch and how she’d clenched around his length made his breath immediately turn shallow, and his arms instinctively tightened around her.
Now that he’d marked her, he would not only be able to feel her emotions but also crave her blood once in a while. It was a known fact among the were-people that a mate’s blood when she’s aroused was like eating the most delicious fruit on earth. There was nothing as divine as a mate’s blood when aroused, and though she was sleeping now, for some reason, he could feel his fangs aching to take a bite from her and have a taste of her blood. His thoughts of last night had aroused him and also awakened his cravings for her blood.
Judging from the brightened room, Lucian could tell it was way past morning, but surprisingly he had no urge to leave the bed anytime soon. He was never the kind to sleep in, but now he wanted to do just that while holding his redhead. She felt so right in his arms, like she was made to always be there.
Reaching out a hand, he caressed her cheek gently, and to his astonishment, she leaned into his touch and slowly opened her eyelids, revealing those mesmerizing clear blue orbs that stared at him with love. She smiled and snuggled closer to him.
"Good morning," she whispered softly, but as if noticing the brightened room, she rephrased her words. "Good afternoon. Damn, we’ve slept in. We should get up. You have to meet the king and settle things with him before he’ll throw us out of their kingdom," she reminded him but made no attempt to get up herself as she didn’t feel like ever leaving the bed. Laying in the arms of her husband felt much better than facing the reality that awaited them outside the walls of this room.
"Hmm, we should get up," he agreed but also made no attempt to do so, instead leaning forward and beginning to nuzzle and kiss her neck while his hand found her breast and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I want to make love to you all over again," he whispered thickly into her ear, causing heat to begin to settle in the pit of her stomach. But Ave knew better than to let that happen in broad daylight where they had things to do.
"We should get out of bed..." she breathed out as his head went down and his mouth closed around her hardened nipple. She moaned and gripped his hair. "All right, let’s do it again, but after that, we are leaving this bed," she gave in and pulled him to her. Lucian made love to her all over again as if it was the first time.
They wouldn’t have gotten out of bed had a knock not come from the door. It was the maids who came in to fix their bath. Ave shrank under the sheets in embarrassment at having people walk in at a moment where she was naked with her husband in bed. It seemed Lucian had ordered them to bring the bath water somewhere around when she was asleep because they bowed to him after they took the hot water into the adjoining room.
Before the three girls could walk out of the room, Lucian called one of them back and requested a bathing oil that helps with soreness. Ave’s face turned redder when the maid’s eyes drifted briefly toward her direction on the bed at Lucian’s request. Really? Did he have to make it so obvious to these gossipmongers, who fed on someone’s personal life to gossip about, that she was sore from having crazy sex with her husband? Ave wondered and wished the ground would open and swallow her, as she would be the topic of gossip among the maids today.
"One more thing, bring our breakfast to the room," Lucian ordered indifferently to the maid. "Make sure you don’t add the wild pig’s brain to the meal; my wife doesn’t like it."
"Yes, Your Highness," the maid bowed, but before she could leave the room, she couldn’t help but let her eyes stray toward the Pendragon prince’s exposed torso. He was sitting on the bed with his back to the headboard and the sheets covering from his waist to his legs while his torso was bare to her eyes. Goodness gracious, she’d never seen a man this good-looking in all of her life. She could sell her soul to any power that would grant her the wish to be in the position of that pale redheaded witch beside him, who they’d all heard was the reason the prince was not willing to take their princess as his second wife. She didn’t know she was staring dreamily at the prince until she heard,
"Be careful with your gaze, young lady, if you don’t want me to gouge out those pretty eyes of yours. Stop drooling at my husband and get on with your work!" Ave remarked harshly before she could stop herself when she caught the maid staring at Lucian. She never really liked any of the servants in this palace for the way they treated her and insulted her in their language, but if any of them kept giving her man that drooling look, she didn’t think she could stand it. Call her a jealous, insecure wife, but her man was hers to look at, not some rude maid.
The maid snapped her head away from the prince and bowed before she left the room in a hurry.
Ave glared at the maid’s retreating back until the door closed behind her before she turned to find Lucian staring at her with a smile playing on his face.
"What?" she asked with pursed lips.
Lucian’s smile deepened as his amber eyes glinted with amusement. "You know, I’ve faced countless wars, but nothing is as thrilling as seeing my wife claim me so fiercely. Should I thank you for it... or kiss you for it?" he inquired as he leaned closer to her, but she moved back and glared at him.
Her lips twitched, torn between the embarrassment of showing her possessiveness and a smirk. "You should stop giving maids reasons to drool over you first," she retorted, crossing her arms against her chest as she allowed her eyes to trail his well-built abs and muscled torso that made her throat slightly run dry. No wonder the maid was staring. "Or maybe I’ll just have to make it very clear that you’re mine."
Lucian leaned forward, his voice softening as he cupped her cheek. "I’m already yours, my love. Completely. But I don’t mind if you’d like to mark me as well."
"Can I do that?" she asked curiously as she stared at him.
Lucian shrugged. "We can make it work. You can bite me and leave a mark there. I can’t heal from any injuries caused by you, so you can mark me with your teeth," he told her as he turned his head to the side to give her access to his neck.
Ave stared at him in disbelief. Was he really giving her permission to bite him? How could she do that when she had no fangs? She wondered, but then she found herself crawling towards him on the bed. Well, it would be nice to bite him even though it wouldn’t leave a mark, so he could feel what it felt like to be bitten!
"I’m really going to bite you," she told him in case he’d stop her now. He smiled and told her to go ahead. Pursing her lips, she moved closer to him, and his arms wrapped around her as she leaned down to his neck. She first kissed him and ran her tongue across his skin.
Lucian waited patiently for her to bite him, and when she finally closed her teeth against his skin, he encouraged her to bite harder so the mark would show. It took them like three trials before she finally bit him until she left her teeth mark on his neck, where he bled a little from it. He didn’t even flinch when she frantically wiped at the blood and apologized for biting way too hard.
"It’s nothing, love. Now we bear each other’s marks that will forever be with us. If mine starts to fade, I’ll have you renew it." He assured her as he kissed the worried frown away from her brows and then gathered her into his arms.
"Time for a bath," he announced.
It took them longer than normal to bathe because Lucian wasn’t able to keep his hands to himself in the tub. He had caressed and touched and kissed her until she couldn’t remember her own name, and then he’d made love to her in the tub. It was surprising how she couldn’t seem to get enough of him just like he wasn’t able to do so.
Every time he made love to her, she felt herself getting more addicted to the feeling of him being inside her. He bathed her first, and she bathed him. If it weren’t for the frantic knock at their door, Lucian would have had her on her hands and knees inside the tub as he’d slammed into her from behind like he did when they first entered the tub.
Despite the frantic knock at the door, Lucian took his time in putting her robe around her body and wearing his before he carried her back to their room. Putting her down on the stool, he went to answer the door, and he was back to her in a moment with a displeased look on his face.
"What’s wrong?" Ave questioned as she noticed the look on his face.
"The King summons me," he told her, but he still didn’t leave to answer the summons even when she urged him to until he made sure she’d eaten, and he’d also eaten before he finally went to change and left the room after kissing her.
"I’ll be right back." He called out as he closed the door behind him.
