"Are you ready for the ultrasound?" The doctor asked with a warm smile after Yang Meiyi had already laid down on the bed.

Meiyi nodded and said "Yes." She sincerely prayed that their child was ok because she felt the way Fu Mingze had been stiff ever since the doctor told her to lie down.

The doctor lifted her shirt and Yang Meiyi felt something cold on her belly and heard the female doctor say "Sorry, I forgot to tell you that it would be a little cold."

"It’s alright." Yang Meiyi replied and watched the machine beside her as the doctor spread the cold gel around her belly.

"This right here is your baby." The doctor said with a smile while pointing at the monitor.

Yang Meiyi looked at where the doctor was pointing and smiled as she said "It’s so little." She looked at Mingze and saw him smiling as well as his eyes remained fixed on the sonogram.

"Are we ready to hear its heartbeat?" The doctor asked cheerfully and Yang Meiyi could feel the way Fu Mingze’s grip on her hand tightened.

Meiyi looked at the doctor and said "Yes."

Within a few seconds, a loud heartbeat filled the room, making Fu Mingze gasp as he asked "Is that his heartbeat?"

The doctor chuckled and said, "Yes, your child has a strong and healthy heartbeat."

Yang Meiyi laughed softly and looked at Fu Mingze saying "I told you our baby is going to be healthy."

"Is the baby healthy?" Fu Mingze asked anxiously.

"Yes, your baby is fine and healthy." The doctor replied.

Fu Mingze let out a sigh of relief, he couldn’t describe the happiness he was feeling right now. Hearing his child’s first heartbeat brought out a protective instinct he never knew he could have for a child. The baby hadn’t even been born yet, but he felt as if he could do anything for this child.

"You are still in your first trimester so the morning sickness it’s normal but I promise you that it will get better." The doctor said as she handed Yang Meiyi a tissue to clean her belly.

"Thank you very much." Yang Meiyi said as she stood up from the bed and immediately went to embrace Fu Mingze.

Fu Mingze chuckles at her action and kisses her forehead. He looked at the doctor and asked "It’s there something you can give her to help with the vomiting, the thing she always ends up throwing up her food and I’m starting to get worried about that."

"I can give her something for the morning sickness and she will also need some vitamins, ensure she takes them on time and I think you should hire a dietitian, given the fact that her body rejects most of the food she eats."

"Okay, I will get all that done. Thank you so much." Fu Mingze replied.

The doctor handed Yang Meiyi a brown envelope and said "A picture of your baby." Before taking her leave, giving the couple a moment alone.

Immediately after the doctor left, Fu Mingze pulled Yang Meiyi into a kiss and sat her back on the bed, the kiss lasted for a few minutes before they separated.
