Fu Mingze and Yang Meiyi were the last to sit at the dining table.

After everyone was seated, Grandpa Fu asked the maid to serve the food and within a few minutes there was a plate of delicious food in front of everyone.

"Let’s eat." Grandpa Fu said.

Fu Mingze ignored his uncle and his family’s presence and began feeding Yang Meiyi, who happily ate from her husband’s hands despite the stares from the unwelcome guest.

"I heard young master Fu’s wife is pregnant, is this true?" Song Yuyan asked with a smile.

Yang Meiyi glanced at Song Yuyan and replied "I won’t confirm or deny, pregnancy is a sensitive subject, especially if it involves the only heir of the Fu group."

"Only heir? Have you forgotten the rule, your child and Fu Dang’s child will have to undergo a test, and whoever wins this test is declared the head of the Fu group." Fu Hong said with a proud smile.

"For the sake of your child’s mentality, I hope it’s a girl. If you know what your husband passed through just to become the heir of the Fu family then you will be terrified of giving birth to a boy, especially if he ends up with a heart condition like his father." Fu Dang said with a vicious smirk.

"It would be better for my child to have this heart condition than to be a dirtbag like you. For a coward, you sure talk so much, look your mother in the eyes and ask her if there has never been a time she wished Fu Mingze was her son instead of you." Yang Meiyi replied with a smile

"You are crossing the line Yang Meiyi!" Song Yuyan shouted.

"Enough!" Grandpa Fu shouted as he slammed his glass of water on the table. He looked at the adults at the table and said "I don’t see any children here so why are all of you unable to behave like adults? Yes, Yang Meiyi is pregnant and the last thing she needs right now is stress, so if the reason you came here is to argue and fight then, I will like it if you will leave."

Fu Hong kicked his wife and son with his feet and signaled for them to apologize, which they begrudgingly did and everyone went back to their meal.

Fu Mingze on the other glanced at Fu Dang coldly before resuming his activity of feeding his wife.

After dinner, Fu Mingze took Yang Meiyi to his room in the Fu Mansion and asked her to get some rest, Meiyi held his wrist as he was about to leave and said "You said you were going to tell me but you never told me what happened to you when you were away those years ago. I want to know what the Fu successor test is all about."

Fu Mingze gently removed her hand from his wrist and brought it to his lips. "I will tell you about it but I need some time to sort some things out."

"Okay, I trust you."

Fu Mingze smiled and placed a kiss on her forehead before leaving.

As Fu Mingze entered his grandfather’s study, he wasn’t really surprised to see Fu Hong and Fu Dang already seated.

"Great! Everyone is here, I would like to discuss something important." Fu Hong said.

"Go ahead." Grandpa Fu nonchalantly said.

"I think it is now time for Fu Dang to get involved in the Fu group and that’s why I have come to ask that you please sign over some shares to the only grandson of your brother whom you claimed you loved so much."

"No matter what your evil mind is thinking, I did love my brother and perhaps it’s time I should do something for his only grandson as you have said but I won’t sign over my shares to Fu Dang, because I have already given those shares to Fu Mingze unborn child." Grandpa Fu said.

Everyone was surprised by his statement, even Fu Mingze was surprised but he tried his best to remain emotionless.

"You gave your shares to a child that hasn’t even been born yet? Does that make sense?" Fu Dang asked as he angrily stood up from his seat.

"There is no need for anybody to get so worked up. Since you are my precious brother’s grandson, I have also left something to you, although it is not a share at Fu Group apart from Fu Entertainment, I was thinking you should also be in charge of a subsidy company of your choice."

Fu Dang looked at the old man in surprise and asked "You want me to choose a subsidiary company of my choice?"

"Yes, I believe that’s also what Fu Mingze wants, we are a family and it isn’t right for us to be in an argument for too long, so I am giving you a chance to prove yourself. If you successfully grow the subsidiary company of your choosing just the way your father has grown Fu Entertainment then I will give you some shares of Fu Group."

"In that case, I chose Fu Construction."

"Fu construction? Are you sure you can handle it?" Grandpa Fu asked.

"Of course I can."

Grandpa Fu looked at Fu Mingze and said "Your cousin has asked for Fu construction, it’s only fair we give it to him."

"He is reckless and lazy, he isn’t capable of handling Fu construction so no grandpa, we are not giving him anything."

"Perhaps my son has had some bad record but if he grows Fu construction to an extent you have never done then it’s only right that he will get named the vice president of Fu group." Fu Hong said.

"And if he fails?" Fu Mingze asked.

"Then I will give you my shares in Fu Entertainment, this is how much faith I have in my son." Fu Hong said.

"Then I guess it is settled. Now, I would love a moment with my grandson alone."

"Of course." Fu Hong gladly replied and signaled his son to follow him out.

After Fu Hong and Fu Dang left, Fu Shen looked at his grandson and said "You have been quiet today, is there something wrong?"

Fu Mingze sighed and brought out a picture from his pocket, he gave the picture to his grandfather and said "That’s the only picture I have of my unborn child at the moment."

Grandpa Fu looked at the sonogram and suddenly felt emotional, he smiled and said "He is so little, I can barely see him. Have you picked out a name yet?"

Grandpa Fu glanced at the sonogram and sighed "Fine, do what you have to protect your kid."
