Today, Yang Meiyi has decided to give her husband a surprise visit to his company.

As she stood in front of his office, she thought of knocking but decided that it wouldn’t be a surprise if she knocked so she just opened the door and froze when she saw the person standing beside Fu Mingze.

Fu Mingze looked at the person who had come into his office without knocking and was surprised to see Yang Meiyi standing and just looking at the person beside him.

Fu Mingze sighed and said, "Yang Meiyi, come in. Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?"

"Why is he here?" Yang Meiyi asked as she looked at Hu Yifan, who tried his best to avoid her eyes.

Fu Mingze sighed and picked a file from his desk, he walked towards Yang Meiyi who hadn’t moved from the door, and handed the file to her "This contains the proof that Hu Lihua didn’t kill Aunt Sang Xiu."

Yang Meiyi shakily collected the file and looked through everything.

Mingze waited patiently for Yang Meiyi to finish reading the file and when she closed the document he said "The day Sang Xiu was killed, Hu Lihua was at a bar, drinking himself to oblivion."

"Hu Yifan." Fu Mingze called out.

Hu Yifan immediately walked to Fu Mingze’s side and handed him a phone.

Fu Mingze pressed a video and passed the phone to Yang Meiyi as he said "This is the security video of the bar. In it, you can see Hu Lihua drinking and look at the time, this proof that at the time Sang Xiu was killed, Hu Lihua was nowhere near the district. This video will be submitted to the police and I will request for the case to be reopened again."

Yang Meiyi nodded without saying anything and quietly went to sit on a sofa.

Fu Mingze looked at Hu Yifan and said "Excuse us."

Hu Yifan nodded and left.

Fu Mingze walked closer to Yang Meiyi and knelt on one kneel as he held her face for her to look at him.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

"For two years, I have thought that he was the one who killed my mother, I have hated him but most of all, I thought that her soul would be at peace because he is now in jail and now, I find out that her soul hasn’t been in peace at all Mingze." Yang Meiyi said in tears.

Fu Mingze wiped her tears and said "We will find out who did this, Xia Lian is already tracking down the witness who claimed to see Hu Lihua hitting Sang Xiu and I promise you Yang Meiyi that it’s only a matter of time before we find out who the culprit is, okay?"

Yang Meiyi nodded and hugged him.

Fu Mingze wrapped his hand around her and embraced her tightly as he swore to himself to find out the real killer of Sang Xiu.

"Do you mind explaining to me what idiotic thing you have done to make Gu Zhen pull out all his investment from Yang corporation? I was gone for just two weeks only for me to come back and find out that the Gu Corporation no longer wants to do business with us, is this your way of taking care of the company?" Yang Jiu asked angrily, immediately he arrived at Yang Mansion.

"Gu Zhen said he no longer wants anything to do with me." Yang Jia softly replied.

Yang Jiu looked at his daughter’s sad expression and a little bit of his anger melted away as he said "But you were sure that he would never abandon you."

"I was wrong. I underestimated his feelings for Nie Yujie. You can scream at me and we can come up with a plan later, but for now, I would like to just get some rest." Yang Jia said.

It was the second time, apart from the day, his little girl’s mother died, he had never seen her so sad. She must have loved Gu Zhen a lot. Yang Jiu thought.

"What’s wrong?" Yang Jia immediately asked after her father’s call ended.

"The police called."

"The police? But why? Is this still about Huan Shuai, they let the murderer go due to lack of evidence so why are they still bothering about that case? I thought this was over." Yang Jia said tiredly.

"It wasn’t about Huan Shuai."

"Then what? Why did they call you?" Yang Jia asked but before her father could answer she gasped and asked "Is Hu Lihua finally dead? I sincerely hope so, he is already in a coma, I wonder why the doctor hasn’t pulled out the plug yet."

"Will you let me speak Yang Jia?" Yang Jiu suddenly shouted.

"Fine, speak. If it isn’t about Huan Shuai or Hu Lihua then why did they call?"

"To inform me about the reopening of Sang Xiu murder case." Yang Jiu finally said.

"What? What do you mean by that? Sang Xiu is dead, the culprit has been caught, so why do they need to re-open the case? Why!" Yang Jia shouted in rage.

"Fu Mingze submitted new evidence to the court and that evidence proved that Hu Lihua was nowhere near that district on the day Sang Xiu died. It’s only a matter of time before the court approves the release of Hu Lihua."

"No, that can’t happen. If Hu Lihua somehow wakes up from his coma then he will tell everyone the truth. I can’t go to jail dad, please help me. You have to do something, please." Yang Jia pleaded with tears in her eyes.

Yang Jiu ran his hand through his hair in frustration and asked "There is nothing I can do, it was Fu Mingze himself who asked for the reopening of the case.
