Yang Jia looked at the rough and untidy environment she just stepped into and felt uncomfortable but nevertheless, she encourage herself and knocked on the wooden door in front of her. The door opened after a few seconds revealing a woman in her late forties.

Yang Jia looked at the woman and asked "Are you Mrs. Chu?"

"Yes, and you are?" The woman named Mrs Chu asked.

"Yang Jia. You may not know me but I heard you were good friends with my mother, Tong Shan."

At the mention of Tong Shan, Mrs Chu expression darken and she said "That was years ago and if there is anything I have ever regretted in my life was being friends with that crazy woman."

Yang Jia frowned and said "You shouldn’t talk about a dead person like that."

Mrs Chu eyes flashed in surprised as she asked in disbelief "Tong Shan is dead? But how?"

"Do you mind if I come in, we can talk better inside."

Mrs Chu looked at Yang Jia for a moment before opening the door wide enough for her to come him.

After sitting on a worn out couch, Yang Jia looked at the woman sitting opposite her and asked "She began to lose her mind because she couldn’t accept the fact that my dad divorce her to be with another woman and finally killed herself a week after their marriage."

"Tong Shan killed herself? That’s surprising, I know she is your mother but that woman is too selfish to take her life, seeing her husband getting married to another woman must have really putted her in a depressing state. But if Tong Shan is dead then why are you here?"

"I wanted to know if you knew what really happened between my parents and Sang Xiu."

Mrs Chu suddenly sighed and said "At that time Sang Xiu was young, unmarried and very beautiful, plus she had an inheritance worth hundred of millions left to her by her grandfather not to talk about the one her own father was going to give her, after all she was the only child of Sang Shao. "Tong Shan has always told me everything, we only had a fall out when she started behaving strangely. Yang Jiu got closer to Sang Xiu, but Sang Xiu didn’t want anything to do with a married man who already even have a kid, so she ignored him. So Tong Shan suggested that they should get a divorce. At that point, even she was attracted to the millions the Yang family will get if this deal with the Sang pulled off and also, your grandmother spared no effort to fuel the idea and that’s how they got divorce."

"My mom was the one who suggested divorce because of money?" Yang Jia asked heartbroken.

Mrs Chu nodded and said "The plan was simple, after they get the divorce, Yang Jiu would marry Sang Xiu and after claiming her inheritance he would then divorce her and go back to Tong Shan but things went South when Yang Jiu began falling in love with Sang Xiu and everything became worst when she found out that Sang Xiu was pregnant. It was like your mother became a different person, she became more aggressive and even attacked Sang Xiu with the attempt to take her life and well, I’m sure you know how that ended. Sang Shao locked her up and that was the last I heard from her, I never thought that she would go as far as taking her own life."

Yang Jia was speechless, all these was different from what her mother told her, that they would never have been apart if not for Sang Xiu who seduced her father and ruined their life. Who would have thought that it was her mother who ruined her marriage with her own hands by agreeing to such stupid suggestion made by an old woman out of greed. She looked at Mrs Chu and said "Thank you for telling me all these."

Yang Jia just nodded and left, immediately she left the house, she bought out her phone and asked "Would you like to get a drink?"

Yang Meiyi arrived at her dorm and saw Wu Ling giving her a disdain look while Hou Fang just kept crying. She looked at Ma Xin worried face and sighed, just what was going on with this drama queen now?

"I can’t believe you stole Hou Fang bracelet?" Wu Ling shouted immediately Yang Meiyi entered the room.

"I told you Meiyi didn’t steal anything, perhaps you misplaced it somewhere." Ma Xin said in Meiyi defense.

Steal? Hold on! Are they accusing her of stealing something?

"Wu Ling, you better watch your tongue. Are you out of your mind, why would I steal anything from Hou Fang?" Yang Meiyi asked in anger.

"Then let’s check all your bags." Hou Fang finally said.

"What?"

"Why? Are you scared? I have already checked both Wu Ling and Ma Xin things so why can’t I check yours? Unless you are hiding something?"

"And what will happen if nothing is found after searching my things?" Yang Meiyi asked.

"Then I will apologize to you."

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "I don’t want your silly apology. I will get to slap you for this humiliation."

Hou Fang frowned and said "But if I find my bracelet among your things then you have to leave this dorm."

"Fine, I agree."

Yang Meiyi stepped aside and allowed Hou Fang to search through her things and when her bed was raise up, a beautiful pink braclet was found under it.

"Isn’t that your bracelet, Hou Fang?" Wu Ling said when she saw the bracelet.

Hou Fang collected the bracelet and said "Yes, this is my bracelet."

"How do you know that it is yours, Yang Meiyi could have a similar bracelet like that as well." Ma Xin said.

Hou Fang scoffed and said "As if a daughter of the Yang family will be able to afford such a bracelet. There is only two of this in the world and I can say for sure that this bracelet is mine." She looked at Wu Ling and said "Go call the Dorm supervisor, she must know that there is a thief in our midst."
