Days turned to weeks and today marked the end of the semester for Meiyi, she felt so excited to go back home. The school has given them a two-month break before they begin the next semester and to Meiyi, that met no classes, assignments, tests, or writing of exams for two months. It meant freedom to her.

"With the smile on your face, one might think you are already graduating." Ma Xin said as she folded her clothes in her bag.

"On that day you will see a bigger smile than this on my face. That day is going to be the happiest day of my life, but for now, I have to be satisfied with this two-month break. I also can’t wait to see my Mingze."

"Your Mingze? Aren’t you going home for the break?" Ma Xin asked.

Yang Meiyi let out a sly smile and said "I’m going to spend this two months with him."

Ma Xin laughed and said "Good for you, it must be nice to be so in love. Speaking about love, have you noticed the way Wu Ling always looks at Zhang Chun whenever he is around, the funny part is the guy doesn’t look at her because he only has eyes for you."

Yang Meiyi frowned and asked "Eyes for me? He barely tolerates me."

Ma Xin sighed as she shook her head "You are oblivious, aren’t you? He is always there when you are in trouble and even helped you to rewrite your English assignment when it got soaked in the rain, how you don’t notice his interest in you amazes me."

"Or, he just sees me as a friend, just the way I have come to acknowledge him as a friend as well." Yang Meiyi said with a smile. After that night when Zhang Chun saved her from that jerk Hanmi, their two decided to form a bond of friendship instead of hating and insulting each other whenever they met and so far she could say she has been the one benefiting from their friendship more than him.

Ma Xin chuckled and said "If you say so. I still can’t believe that Hou Fang transferred to another university, it’s surprising how the Hou Family suddenly suffered bankruptcy and moved out of Country M."

Yang Meiyi froze for a moment when she heard Ma Xin’s words and began arranging her things. She knew Fu Mingze had a hand in it and even though he denied it when she asked him, she was still sure that it was him.

Yang Meiyi smiled when her phone rang, she immediately answered it and asked "Are you here?"

"I’m sorry but I won’t be able to make it. I have an unexpected meeting to attend and I do not know how long it will take." Fu Mingze said. When he didn’t hear anything from her after a while he gently asked "Are you angry?"

"Angry? Of course not, I know you are very busy. You don’t have to worry, I will go there myself. I have a car and I can just drive there."

Fu Mingze sighed when he heard the sadness in her voice and said "OK. I will see you tonight."

Yang Meiyi nodded and said, "See you tonight."

After the call ended, Ma Xin asked "What’s with the frown? Is he not coming to pick you up?"

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "An unexpected meeting came up, so I’m going home alone. Do you need a ride to the bus stop?"

Ma Xin smiled and said, "That would be nice."

Yang Meiyi’s phone rang again and she sighed when she saw it was Zhang Chun calling, she answered it and asked "What do you want?"

"How long does it take to pack, I have been standing beside your car for the past fifteen minutes."

"Why would you be standing beside my car?"

"How else do you expect me to go home?"

"Don’t you have a family driver or something?"

"I told him not to bother because I already have a friend who wouldn’t mind giving me a ride." Zhang Chun replied with a smug smile. "You wouldn’t mind, right? Because I’m sure Aunt Sang Xiu would definitely not mind seeing a video of you drinking to a stupor."

"I hate you." Yang Meiyi stated firmly.

"The feeling is mutual, now hurry up. I miss my bed at the mansion." Zhang Chun said and ended the call.

"I take it back, I do not see him as a friend. I think he was born just to torment me "

Ma Xin laughed and said, "Say whatever you want, nothing is going to make me change my mind about the fact that he has a crush on you and I think annoying you is his way of showing it."

Yang Meiyi shook her head and said "Whatever, are you done? Let’s go before that jerk calls me again."

Ma Xin laughed softly and said "I’m done. Let’s go."

"Get out." Yang Meiyi said as she arrived at Zhang’s mansion. She had already dropped Ma Xin at the bus stop, now just remaining Zhang Chun who did nothing but sleep throughout the entire journey.

Even after telling him to get out, Zhang Chun still rested comfortably in the passenger seat with his eyes closed, it made Yang Meiyi wonder if he was truly sleeping. As she stretched out her hand to wake him up, he suddenly opened his eyes and grabbed her wrist to pull her closer.

Zhang Chun smirked at her flushed face and asked "Did I just catch you in the act of seducing me?"

Yang Meiyi scoffed and used her other hand to pinch his stomach harshly making him let go of her immediately. She looked at him and said "I, Yang Meiyi, will never be interested in you. I already have a boyfriend and very soon we are going to get engaged, you better not have any funny ideas."

"Won’t you tell me the name of your boyfriend?" Zhang Chun asked.

"I will when I feel like it, all you just have to know is that you don’t stand a chance when it comes to him." Yang Meiyi said harshly. One of the reasons she was this way was in case Ma Xin was right, if Zhang Chun did have feelings for her, she would need to kill it before it grew even further.

Zhang Chun shrugged and said, "I just wanted to know who the idiot was that fell for you." He got out of the car without waiting for her reply and collected his luggage.

Yang Meiyi looked at him in disbelief as he entered his mansion without even saying thank you to her and wondered if perhaps Zhang Chun had a mental issue, she had never met anyone so moody like him before. She sighed and thought of how these two months were going to be filled with creating new and happy memories with her Fu Mingze.
